Im going for a draw. Croatia havent lost a game on Maksimir stadium for about 30-35 games (correct me if Im mistaken). Thank you Marko, It is true our national team setup doesnt work. Capello has a tough job moulding this team, but im sure he will do it. Croatia have an excellent setup and players compliment each other nicely, thats the difference.

I am furious that I did not get to see the game, the 1st really good England perfromance for some time. (Setanta Bastards!!!!):mad2:

I am really pleased with how we played, ,I listened to the comentary on 5 live, and we really played well, ok it took while for us to open things up and in the 1st half Croatia had some pretty good attacks on goal. However England were patient and confident and stuck to thier guns, by all accounts we socred some excellent goals, yes Craotia were down to 10 men, but this is only because they were getting frustrated and started to use a bit of agression, Wallcott was taken down a few times also, I think if this guy had not got sent of most probably somebody else would have done. You cannot lead with the elbow like that, I think it was right he got sent off, Cole took a nasty blow to the head.
Overall for me a really,really good performance for Englad, I'll not get carried away, but this for me is how this squad of players should be dictating games and getting results, sometimes the goals will come othertimes they need to grind out a 1-0. Based on this I am at present confident of success form the group, but it's a long road yet. This squad needs to keep it's confidance and flare, England do have a tendancy to play better football against stronger teams, so hopfeully we'll not screw it up against a lesser team.

We did control the game from the first minute. Capello said our game plan was to let you attack, analyse the game, see the way your playing it, and once you ran out of ideas against us, we unleashed our attack, which was far more effective.

I remember the last time we played about a hundred people came on here gloating to england fans, really giving it to us.

So are you saying that J. Cole deliberately bled a lot to ensure your player was sent off.
If you read I my post I said I thought Coratia were getting a little frustrated and aggressive I don't think you can deny that, Walcott was flattened at one point, also I said that you cannot lead with an elbow like that, and that he deserved to go. Basically if you lead with elbow in this way chances are it's gonna hit someone and that's what happened it was not a deliberate swing of the elbow, but he had no need to do what he did.

In addition your post followed mine so I can only assume your comments were partly directed at me, i did not say England controlled the game, I said we were patient and confident, I also mentioned that Croatia had some good chances 1st half.

At the end of the day we won, and for the 1st time in a long while I am impressed and pleased with our performance, anyone who does not think that England deserved a victory last night has to biased it was an excellent performance all round against a good team with a great home record.

As for you last comment I agree Qualifying is far from over, England know from very recent experiance of course that Croatia are more than capable of coming to Wembley and taking all the points. I'm not saying Cole bled deliberately. This is football, accidents happen, people bleed, but red cards aren't thrown out everytime that happens now does it.
Cole underjumped Kovac. Obviously the arm hit him. I watched the clip from the start. Kovac aligned himself under the ball and jumped, Cole even jumped at a later time. These things happen though, the ref saw blood and thought it was done on purpose. It was a harsh red, thats how I felt. That's all.

In the end, the match is over, and the better team won deservingly.

Now if we beat Ukraine at home and away. 2nd spot is ours, and hopefully, we can head to Wembley, and maybe sneak to first if we smarten up. ;)
