Hopefully Armenia could slow this machine down some, even though BiH's campaign is over before it even started,.

Turkey always had to play with all these Macedonias, Armenias, etc. , and they frequently had troubles, especially at away games. I still see Turkey winning easily, but Armenia may cause some trouble. I can't see it happening this time, though.

I got to go with my Turkish brothers on this one, and I don't expect it to be close either. Turkey is just riding on so much emotion now after Euro 08' and I really have trouble seeing Armenia posing much of a challenge to them.
yeh its always small teams like these that seem to give us grief, not only for our national team but for our league teams.
but generally we should be able to overcome them, thats not a problem...
and also, our sqaud will feature many new young names which is so good, because for the past few years before the lead up to the euro 08, we played with the same old sqaud time and time again and it was getting so boring...

No one beat Armenia in their home turf in Euro 2008 qualifications... not Poland, Serbia, Portugal, no one. Don't be so sure it's going to be as easy.
If this didn't have an effect on Bosnia, I'm behind Turkey for this game and I want them to win but since it's affecting Bosnia's position in the group, I want Turkey to lose. So realistically, I want these teams to tie, :).
wow i didnt know that know one beat them at home during the 08 qualies, that makes things different now
hopefully turkey can break that hoodoo...

Hahahaha, Semih is a monster. He wanted to beat Partizan so badly even when he was injured and decided to still play. He enjoys it so much to score against Croats/Serbs and he always puts his finger to his mouth to signal the fans to shut up whenever he scores against opposition with political history.

The football difference between Turkey and Armenia is big, but this game has some particularities. Since it is played in Armenian ground I think the Armenians are going to play more than what they can and it is going to be a draw.

2-2, Armenia has some pride riding on this. So Turkey will not walk over anybody here. I am all for Armenia on this one. We need Turkey or Belgium ro choke. While we have to choke Spain ourselves. ;)
A(Bosancero)
08-31-2008, 07:24 AM
^ our choke might turn back at us but we should pull off a decent result in Spain they are better then ever but like you have said we have a great history with big National Teams
there is no way in hell armenia will beat or even draw against turkey, even if the match is on there home turf...
our players are used to hostile atmospheres...

lol korkak türkler, katch hayer! i realized that there aren't that many armenians in this conversation as much as turks. you guys are always all talk and no action. you win big in the euro cup and your TV talks about it every 5 minutes as if Turkey has become "The Titans of Soccer!!" us armenians are seeing it this way: "turks. pffft. not even worth talking about it." Are we stressing you guys so much that you need to stress how sure you are that you'll win? lol just messing with you, dont go attacking me with your turkish pride, im actually besiktasli and love soccer in turkey, root for turkey in the euro cup and whatnot, but man do you guys brag when you get a little piece of gold. the september 6 match is gonna be quite interesting. lets hope both countries act civilized about it.

I'll be rooting for Armenia but I think Turkey will win this one. It will be a most interesting match for obvious reasons. In the last campaign, Armenia did not lose at home to Portugal, Serbia, and Portugal while Turkey had dissapointing results on the road against smaller teams like Malta, Moldova, and Bosnia.
One post had Turkey winning in Armenia based on them riding high on emotions after Euro 2008. Recall that Italy, after winning WC 2006, lost in France and tied at home against Lithuania, and Greece, after winning Euro 2004, lost in Albania and tied at home against Turkey.
But I still think Turkey will win because they will be on the road against a team whom they will perceive as a "big team" based on the hostile crowd and not like against Malta and Moldova.

You bet your ass on that bro. :ronaldo: Armenia will not embarrass my legacy here! I will not be some pink flamingo after this. You however, are a different story. But after the game is done and through and you wear that pic of those two male hungry guys then it will actually help you in the long run. It will teach you not to be so ahead of yourself.
