Tottenham Hotspur manager Juande Ramos believes England's top flight is 'above' the other leagues across Europe.

The Premier League recently came in for criticism from Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan, who hit out at the dominance of the 'big four'.

Ramos admits that Keegan's comments hold a certain amount of truth, but he still feels the Premier League boasts an edge over other domestic leagues in Europe.

"As far as what Keegan said, he's telling the truth to a certain extent because it is always the same teams at the top in the end," he said.

"He is a man who knows a lot about English football and will have his reasons for saying that.

"In Spain you have two teams that are constantly in the top four - Barcelona and Real Madrid - and then the other two places are much more open.

"You get teams such as Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, Villarreal and Celta Vigo.

"These things go in cycles. Right now I think that the Premier League is above all the others, and so you are getting more quality players coming to England."

If this was posted to prove the fact that the EPL is the ultimate best you are wasting your breath. People know that the EPL is the best but obviously he is going to say that whilst being employed to a club in the EPL!

On a different note I'd say what Keegan said has been misinterpreted by most of the media. He didn't says the premiership was boring he said that it was becoming boring that the top teams won it year after year and no team outide what is seen as the top four (Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal & Liverpool) can win the top prize as those sides are so dominant financially and would take something like £120m investment for a team to have a chance which is probably about right.
