I am not critical to the present politics of the Turkish Republic towards Georgia. We have very good relation, very deep economical ties, many Georgian engineers working in Turkey and so on. Turkey strongly supports Georgia for NATO membership.

Turkish fans have good relation with us because our popular football player Shota Arveladze spent several years in Trabzonspor, creating golden era of this club and is considered one of the best players of all time in Trabzonspor.

I am critical to Turkey about the thing that happened between our countries very long time ago in 1121. It was the biggest battle in the region. Seljuq Turkish coalition including hundreds of thousands soldiers comandered by Najm ad-Din Ilghazi ibn Artuq (probably half million) entered Eastern Georgia to conquer and invade our country. Our troops were only 56000, about 5-10 times less than Turkish soldiers, but we won that battle, possible because we were protecting our country and our victory later was named as "miraculous victory".

You may see the detailed information here: Battle of Didgori (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Didgori)
