TSL Week 33: Sivasspor 3-5 Galatasaray

This match is as important as was the derby. If we need a win or a draw here to confirm that we are the champions. A loss will hurt very much, but i beleive that if we play with the same spirit we played against fenerbahce that we will win (altough its a away game against one of the biggest underdogs of this season)

If we can control mehmet yildiz and a few other players that play around him we should be fine.

Lincoln will be back, Umit Karan is out.

It's not like the other teams do good anyway, Galatasaray have done nothing for years, Fenerbahce only made the Quarter just this season, Besiktas go on about their Quarter's of the UEFA Cup like its some big deal, Trabzon are just bloody useless. Kayserispor did well last season, only losing to AZ on away goals if im right, Denizli, Gencler, Kocaeli have all done well in the UEFA Cup in recent years.

I will put everything on the line that Besiktas wont get passed the 3rd round of the INTERTOTO CUP

How are we able to compete with teams such as AC Milan, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd, Barca etc if we cannot even qaulify through the knockout stages against teams that we have not heard before such as Helsinborgs, Sion etc?

If Galatasaray cannot do this in the Uefa Cup, then Sivasspor has no chance in the CL with the sqaud that it has.

Its a known fact that Sivas have not performed well against Istanbul teams this season, as they have against all the other teams.

With this kind of sqaud i dont beleive Galatasaray has a chance of winning another european title, but i think we could go close and far if we just had a coach that knew his stuff. And if we had a few more decent players.

As for Fenerbahce....well they just seem to run out of steam towards the end of the season, it all started against Sevilla and ended at Galatasaray match....

Fenerbahce dropped crucial points where they did not think it would matter. Against teams like Bursa, Rize, Kasimpasa.

Personally, i wouldn't be upset at all if Sivas won the league, as long as we came second. However, the best thing for Turkish football is to have GS + FB go to champions league with Sivas in UEFA. If Sivas have a good season next year (which i doubt) then i'd support them even over GS like most other people :D There's no point in Sivas winning if it won't lead to anything. 1 more great season for Sivas will show that they deserve the title.

honestly sivas winning the TSL would be bad imo cause 1 they would get a cut of the TV revenue that the champions get which would be less money for fener, gs, bjk, tb. And they would ruin the coefficient points for Turkey if they enter the CL.

Ofcourse i'm looking at this with a Fener bias, would it be better for the TSL if Sivas won, yes with the tv revenue they get they would be the 5th competitor for the title year in and year out. But they would still ruin the coefficient points for turkey if they entered the CL.

As much as it would be a nice story-book ending for Sivas if they won the league, let's be honest, they would get THRASHED in the CL qualifiers.

I mean, GS BARELY got out of the group stage in one of the weakest uefa cup groups this year.

What a amazing match. And people say the Turkish League is boring?? All of the goals we saw in this match were unbelievable.

Ayhans goal was a gem. Both teams were fighting so hard for those three points, it could have gone either way at 3-3, but Galatasaray pushed very hard and fought back.

Plus every year its always the same "ref scandals" or poor refereeing as they like to say. I really think we should bring in foriegn refs.

lol anadolu teams matches dont even get televised. Ligtv has the right to only broadcast 4 lig games per week so they usually just choose fener, gs, bjk and trabzon but this year they've chosen a couple sivas games over trabzon since their so high up in the race.

Ligtv should show games like this; show Fb, Gs and Bjk each week thats 3 live games already. with the other ''yayin hakki'' show a anadolu match and not only Trabzon. I remember when I was in Turkiye in 2005, trt used to show one anadolu game each week.
