I don't think we were dominated ever as much as we did now.. The 9 point win in the finals was the lowest number of points we beat a side by ! We almost went through this entire tournament with double digits wins against everyone ! Amazing ! USA YOU ARE NEXT..:)

Yup, and imagine - we did this without our "stars" of the 90s - i.e Divac, Djordjevic, Danilovic, etc..

This just shows how good of a basketball nation we are! And not only that, but it also shows that you shouldn't hold onto the stars of the past, when you got potential stars of the future!

You know our NT and our youth generation and the kids about to enter the "youth generation" are so strong, that we can keep this up for at least 10 years. I really don't see anybody coming close to us euro-wide.

On a global scale this is how I look at the countries strength

Elite class: USA (they are alone - no doubt about that)

---------------------------------------

1st class: Yugoslavia (we are alone here too.... we might enter the elite class soon.

2nd class: Spain, Germany, Turkey, Italy, France, Lithuania

3rd class: Latvia, Slovenia, Canada, Australia, etc....

4th class: amateurs

Listen kids, someone rated your team higher than Canada? How is that possible? You just were embarrassed by them in the Olympics. And they were missing Rick Fox & Jamal MAGliore even amd they aren't even that good.

Also, I don't hear you guys talking about soccer anymore. What's a matter? Have you come to the realization that you are a small soccer nation now? Joining the likes of Canada, San MAriono, Mongolia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Albania on the sideline of the upcoming WC-the most important sporting event in the world.

Congratulations guys, for winning the basketball title, from me as well. You were really by far the best team in the tournament. Although I doubt, that you will beat USA next year, but someone should kick their ass too, so good luck there.

But as the my co-nationals said before - even I love football more, and no european basketball title can compare to qualifying for the World Cup in football. Of course, you can still hope we fail the beat the Faroes, but this is another story. :D

I guess we don't see eye to eye, but I sure as hell felt more joy winning the Eurobasket yesterday, then I did when we beat USA 1-0 in WC '98 and advanced to the 2nd round :dontcare:

PS: When you make the WC and the fat lady starts singing, then I'll congratulate you. You haven't given me any reason in our 3 meetings for me to think that you are a better team then us. (likewise, I couldn't possible argue that we are a better team then you)

I was so disappointed though when u guys lost to canada! That was a disgrace.... I was cheering for Serbia in that match...so much for my 'support'...........
