Gilberto Silva "Sweden can win Euro 2008"

John Terry has already said it and yesterday we heard those words coming out from Gilberto Silvas mouth.

The brazilian midfielder was impressed by Sweden after their nations battle yesterday.

" Sweden can definitely win Euro 08' but it's all about if they can trust on eachother and their capacity during the competition "

Alexandre Pato was also impressed by Sweden and said. " They gave us no space to play "

Alright let's not get carried away. However I must say that I'm impressed by how we played yesterday. Damn if we only could've had our magician Ibra on the field as well.

I think that Sweden will be eliminated in the group stage.

They will lost against Spain and Grecce, but draw against Russia .

I didnt like the swedish-play at all and i hate Lars Lagerbäck, we all know why hi is at the post as selector/manager for the NT-team, hi is a close friend of Lars-Åke Lagrell, i think that Lagerbäck has been in the Swedish NT-team for 9-10 years (First as youth coach and then for the Senior-team)


But of course, it all depends on Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ibrahimovic is the Swedish "flagshipp" in NT-team, the Swedish NT-team is a wreack without him ;)

I'm not a fanboy of Lagerbäck either. Oh well he has done great things for Sweden with qualifying for 5 straight championships but when it's time for finals he's just not good enough as a 'game-coach'.

It's for me impossible to understand how he can pick players such as D.Andersson. Rasmus Lindgren should get a chance...

It's not really true what you're saying about Sweden that it's all about Zlatan. Sure he's our biggest star abroad but Sweden has always been known for it's team-chemistry. We won against Spain at home with 2-0 without Zlatan and we have done great results without him before. However we need Zlatan this summer in good shape, I want to see more fantastic performances from him like the one against Denmark at home. I was speechless after that game..

I have faith in Sweden this summer. I consider Spain as the strongest team in the group with Greece/Sweden fighting for the second spot. Russia has nothing against these 3 teams IMO.
