He can't barely walk after his games with Inter due to his problems with a kneecap. He's taking painkillers when he plays and we can all see that he can't perform as good as we're used to see from him.

I'm afraid that Inter will say "Fix that knee NOW and drop Euro 08" and honestly it looks like this will happen. Inter are in a run for the title at the moment with many crucial games left and they will probably use Ibra at his 'fullest' to get a grip on that Scudetto which means that Ibra won't get that rehab that this kneecap injury needs to get a full recovery.

The bad news continues for Sweden, our regular left-back Erik Edman got a nasty knee injury last weekend against Blackburn and will be gone until October.

Our regular defensive midfielder Tobias Linderoth has been injuried in months now but reports says that he will be back with football sometime in April. However we won't know if it's the same Linderoth as before the injury, it takes time to get back to normal after a injury like that.

And now our bigstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

I had a good feeling before Euro 2008 but with these news... Oh you can imagine...

This is how we would play with all the players fit:

Isaksson, Man City
Edman, Wigan
Mellberg, Juventus
Hansson, Rennes
Nilsson, Panathinaikos
Linderoth, Galatasaray
Freddie Ljungberg, West Ham
Wilhelmsson, Deportivo La Coruña
Källström, Lyon / A.Svensson, Elfsborg
Ibrahimovic, Inter
Elmander, Toulouse

Without Linderoth we will probably use A.Svensson as the defensive mid and Källström as the offensive one.
Without Edman = Nilsson on the other side and then Alexandersson on the other one.
Without Ibrahimovic = Probably Werder Bremen's striker Rosenberg.

Wow these are huge blows for Sweden, they were one of my favourites for this tournament and without Ibra and Lindy they are going to be missing alot of good chances when its crunch time.

Wow these are huge blows for Sweden, they were one of my favourites for this tournament and without Ibra and Lindy they are going to be missing alot of good chances when its crunch time.

Lindy is one of my fav players on the national team. I haven't seen one bad performance by him during his international career. He means everything for Sweden's midfield and without him on the field when the tourney kicks off against Greece will be devastating.

Ibrahimovic can be the difference in these tight games. When he's fit he can decide a game against any opponents. With him in the team we can even win the whole thing but without him, not a chance. (Some might disagree with me but I believe that he can do miracles when fit and therefor I think we can win it with him on the field)

Edman isn't really the player he used to be but it's still bad news for us.

I'll start praying for Lindy and Ibra.

Zlatan will fly to Umeå (Sweden) today for a medical examination with Håkan Alfredson.

I'll update along the way when I get the news about his injury and how he will treat it etc. etc.

Ibra has been examinated today in Sweden and here's some facts about his injury(Jumpers Knee-Patellar tendinopathy).

http://img362.imageshack.us/img362/8952/jumperskneees1.jpg

The patellar tendon / ligament joins the kneecap (patella) to the shin bone or tibia. This tendon is extremely strong and allows the quadriceps muscle group to straighten the leg. The quadriceps actively straighten the knee in jumping to propel the individual off the ground as well as functioning in stabilizing their landing.

As such this tendon comes under a large amount of stress especially in individuals who actively put extra strain on the knee joint such as those who regularly perform sports that involve direction changing and jumping movements. With repeated strain, micro-tears as well as collagen degeneration may occur as a result in the tendon.

This is known as patellar tendinopathy or Jumpers Knee. It should be distinguished from patella tendonitis as this latter condition indicates an inflammation of the tendon whereas tendinopathy is more about degeneration of the tendon. For the purpose of this article we have used the term patella tendonitis as well as tendinopathy but strictly speaking tendinopathy is usually the correct term

The doctor who examinated Ibra gives his thoughts about Ibra playing in Euro.

"Normally Euro wouldn't be in trouble for Ibrahimovic, we will have a evaluation in 4-6 weeks and during this time he can play games with Inter"

Oh well sounds like pretty good news afterall but I'm not taking anything for granted.

Let's just hope that everything works out for Ibra, cause we need him fit for fight this summer.
