yes i am proud of it, i was born and lived in a village for 1 year of my life and i always say - ja sam pravi seljak.

you have to be proud of the countryside and village life - it is the cultural history of The Balkans. look at Serbia, Croatia etc, they take pride in their villagers and have good economies and state Patriotic/Nationalist determination.

ps: Villagers are clean people who are drug free - even though DJ Krmak thinks otherwise lol,

PS: Cities like Sarajevo are full of prostution, ungratful girls like who like the first un-Balkan foreigner they see and disgusting Homo's.

you have the typical mind of a Bosnian from the City - which is full of sinful practices

look at Serbia and Croatia - they have become strong nations becuase they take pride in thier Seljaci but we Bosnjaks do not, and this is why our state does not function, we need a Bosanska Seljacka stranka like they do have For the Croats in Croatia and the Serbs in RS And Serbia.

Rural or urban... both have its downfalls. For me... I can't stand one day being in the sjelo. It's way too boring. And people tend to be very ignorant in the farms. Don't know about Bosnian farmers... but we all know those stupid redneck cowboys in USA. City is opposite .... but then again it also has its downfalls...

Yeah and you know that without Bosanski i Hrvatski Seljaci, the whole of north eastern Bosnia - Brcko, Tuzla, Maglaj, Tesanj , Zivinice and parts of the Cazinska Krajina region of Bosnia would be the terrortory of the Republika Srpska.

by the way... unlike most cities, Sarajevo is relatively clean from prostitutes! It's all in your imagination! If you want to find some prostitutes, go to Switzerland/Austria/Belgium/maybe France at midnight, they're everywhere

Well I've noticed quite a bit more "seljacina" on these forums than some feel to admit. But all in all my 2 cents "seljak" is usually used to put people down in former yuga, but like Seljak says being from the selo does not make you a bad person and they are usually the hardest working and best people. Lets be real though, in the Balkans we are all little "villagers" in the eyes off western europe.

And to the Bosnian American Nernim Bibic Plavo Zuti you don't have to say sjelo, "selo" is not a Serbian word. :lol:

I lived a good part of my life in the "sjelo" as well, :lol:. I don't really have a prefrence of city vs village life. A mix of both is good, like whenever I visit BiH, it's always nice to go out to my grandpa's house in Cavcici. Get some fresh air, go hiking, etc. Ja sam Seljak clearly has no idea what the hell he's talking about by saying most Sarajevo girls are prostitutes, which also shows proof that he has never actualy been in Sarajevo or met any of the people there. Yes, there are some prostitutes, but not like he's making it out to be.

That's not the point though. About 90% of "seljaci" are very uneducated and you can't really have an intellectual conversation with them. They are very primitive and that is the reason they get made fun of by everyone else from former Yugoslavia. I don't know what Bosnia's aspects are of "seljaci", but we Serbs in general think down of them. I've met a couple of them before, and they are really nice people but it's a whole different society.

My dads family is from Tesanj, and then they moved to the small town of Tesanjka, it has a population of like 300-600. We have a disco though. It is a little better living in a small community, or Selo, because it does keep you away from drugs, but if your into that, it's not hard to find. The people there weren't farmers or anything like that, they just had a smaller community, I'm not a Seljak and you shouldn't be proud of it. It's more of a insult, then a compliment.
