With Derby already relegated, which other 2 teams will join them from Fulham, Bolton, Reading, Birmingham, Wigan, Middlesborough, Sunderland and Newcastle?
I feel it will be Fulham and Newcastle.

Count Derby County as down already. Another 2 must go...

I don't see a way out of it for Bolton or Fulham, so they are doomed with Derby.

Fulham suffered a big defeat today. They are almost gone.

Ok, just 4 games to go now and realistically it is still any 2 from 4 who could go down.
Here is the situation and GD and points.
16. Reading FC -26 32
17. Birmingham City -13 31
18. Bolton Wanderers -21 29
19. Fulham FC -24 27
20. Derby County -58 11
Derby are down. Remaining fixtures are:
Reading
Arsenal v Reading
Wigan v Reading
Reading v Tottenham
Derby v Reading
Birmingham
Aston Villa v Birmingham
Birmingham v Liverpool
Fulham v Birmingham
Birmingham v Blackburn
Bolton
Middlesbrough v Bolton
Tottenham v Bolton
Bolton v Sunderland
Chelsea v Bolton
Fulham
Fulham v Liverpool
Man City v Fulham
Fulham v Birmingham
Portsmouth v Fulham
I see Reading, Birmingham and Fulham all getting 4 points from their remaining fixtures and Bolton getting 3.

Bolton and Fulham will go down but Fulham might have their hopes up following the win against Reading...

I agree. Given the fixtures left I think Birmingham and Reading both just have enough in the tank. However, Aston Villa will be looking to do Birmingham a lot of damage on Sunday.

I'll be honest I struggle to see where Birmingham, Bolton, Fulham or Reading can pick up another win, but I am sure between them they will get one or two.

Reading lost 2-0 today and offered very little. They are now deep in it as they have 2 tough games against Wigan and Tottenham to come. I do think they will get 3 points against Derby though.
Liverpool will put out a much weakened side against Birmingham next weekend given that the return CL game against Chelsea is the following Wednesday.
I think 34 points will be enough to stay up.

Villa will try their best imo tomorrow and defeat Birmingham, and then Birmingham still have to play Liverpool, Fulham and Blackburn.
I say Fulham and Birmingham will be the other two that relegate.

Liverpool will field a much weakened side and our home form will see us through Blackburn. Birmingham's home form of late is very decent and their goal difference is worth another point.

well Birmingham are 2-0 down at HT against Villa, just as I predicted. I really do see Birmingham relegating, let's see if they prove me wrong.
btw, my prediction was Sunderland, Birmingham and Derby before the season had begun.

It wasn't hard to predict a Villa win today. I am concentrating on Birmingham getting 4 points from their last 2 home games.

I know the score. As I have said in my previous posts I knew today would not be pretty. Liverpool will field a second 11 next week and our final away game is against Fulham who will in all probability be relegated by then, so I am still optimistic.
I ask myself why you are so concerned?

Im not concerned, its just that I predicted that they'll relegate before the season. Just following my prediction I guess :)

Well you predicted the 3 teams that came up from the championship last season, which is in all reality not great. You will always get one, maybe two. Sunderland are safe, Derby are down and Birmingham are 50/50 so we will see.

After this weekends games I think it is pretty obvious Fulham need a miracle to stay up. And, even though they still have to play Chelsea, I think Bolton are playing well enough to stay up.
That leaves Birmingham on 31 points and Reading on 32 points to choose from. Birmingham's GD is far superior should they finish on the same number of points.
Birmingham have to play Liverpool and Blackburn at home and Fulham away. Liverpool will field a much weakened team cos of CL and Fulham will be in all probability relegated by the time they play Birmingham.
Reading have Derby away, so should get 3 points there, Wigan away and Tottenham at home.
It is a flip of a coin really. I am biased, but i do think they will both finish on 35 points.

Ok it is getting very twitchy now. I believe Bolton will only get one more point as they play Chelsea away and Sunderland who are hot right now, but Birmingham will beat Blackburn at home and hopefully not lose to Fulham. Reading have only won away once all season, so i believe they will just get a point at Derby, but can they beat Spurs at home? Fulham have only won away once too and a trip to Pompey is very tough
Ugh, Reading and Birmingham to stay up. I think. :Peace:

If Birmingham don't lose to Fulham this weekend, that is Fulham 99.9% down.

Well it's not looking good for Birmingham but it's not looking good for Reading or Fulham either. Going to the last game of the season and that's exciting for the neutral. I don't think Fulham will win and Reading haven't looked like scoring a goal in a long time but the final game of the season is massive for a lot of teams. I have a feeling it will be Reading and Fulham to go but every team needs to play out of their skins in the final match. Could go eitherway ... who'd have though Leicester could have been relegated from the Championship??

Well a point maybe enough if Fulham and Reading lose and i have a feeling they will but Birmingham need to win to make sure. If Reading and Fulham win doesn't matter what the Blues do. Blackburn are a tough team to beat but Blackburn aren't fighting for anything. Birmingham are fighting for survival I think that might spur them on.

Well they pissed me off once too often last week. I'm making plans to go out for the day and what will be will be. I'm not wasting another minute watching them this season.
