Prolific Australian striker Scott McDonald is being linked with a move to English Premier League club Newcastle United.
A report in Britain's Daily Mail says Newcastle manager Kevin Keegan is set to offer around $15 million to lure the Celtic striker to the club when the next transfer window opens in June.
McDonald has been in scintillating form this season, scoring 25 goals for the Scottish club in all competitions, putting him in contention for the European Golden Boot award.
According to the reports, McDonald has moved to the top of Keegan's hit list as the side continues to struggle for goals.
Keegan is also reportedly targeting McDonald's Scottish teammate Aiden McGeady.
McDonald's link with Newcastle comes amid growing speculation fellow Australian Mark Viduka is unhappy at the club and could leave in the summer.
Celtic would be reluctant to sell their form striker but may be tempted by the chance to offload him for 10-times the amount they paid, following the player's $1.5 million move from Motherwell last year.
