I watched this match and to be honest it was pretty poor, it did not add any weight to the argument that English football is the best in the world. Arsenal started well Senderos scored after 4 minutes but then the game went into a monotonous lull for a long time. But wait this was Arsenal we were talking about, the wonderful free flowing Arsenal, not tonight though. Adebayor scored right at the end but this was a rubbish match to be honest.
Your thoughts???

yep, wasnt a great game to be honest, one of the worst ones this season, but arsenal fans have been spoilt this season with so many damn good games so i think i can forgive them :)

i think the reason why we played so bad is because we scored too early, the 3rd minute lol. our boys just got lazy because they knew that if we played the arsenal way for the next 87 mins it could have been 6-0.
thats complacancy for you. but indeed as you said, at least we won. and still won by 2 goals playing badly..

That was pretty much the same as Rangers on Saturday we played poorly and yet won 2-0 against a decent Falkirk side. Adebayor was really poor all night and yet got on the score sheet. As I was saying on the Rangers forum, winning when you are playing badly is the mark of champions.

i gotta say brad friedel made some excellent saves today, very under rated goal keepe. and the arsenal vs manchester cup tie is on the 16th of feb.
hopefully it will be a cracker.

Well, I'm going to count Chelsea out of the race now. BVut the good thing is that United's basically out too. :D

^ Well 5 points isn't really that much, so I wouldn't say that they are out of the title race yet.

I thought Arsene Wenger's comment about the pressure they were under after ManU lost, was funny.
Pressure is when you're neck and neck and the rival team has won, and now you need to win to keep level. Or it's when you are behind and you can't afford to slip up and go further behind. Or even where you've been in front but the points gap has been reducing.
It is NOT when you have moved up from just behind, then go 2 points ahead (that's called momentum) and then your rivals unexpectedly lose at home allowing you to go 5 points clear after you come out on top at home to a depleted Blackburn.
That's when things are actually going for you.
