Yesterday during the Uruguay-Colombia game some commentators talked about upcoming games, and one of those were against SWEDEN!! Nothing is final yet but it is said that Uruguay might come to Sweden on August 20 for a friendly!!

If this is true, I can't tell you how happy that makes me. I've dreamt of this since I was 5 years old, 18 years later it might finally happen!!

Man it will be funny going to the game, as a Swede, with a Uruguay jersey on, and of course some face-paint.

God please let this happen, I've been a good boy (except in bed)!!! :smoking:

Is THAT why my ass was so sore when I came home from Bosnia?! Geez, after all this time. I thought it was just the regular 'ol uranium in the Bosnian soil that did that to me. Guess it was your prick all along :yuck: At what time did you get to me? Before or after I had sexual relations with your mother? Or was it during?? :faint2: I thought I felt something entering my backside, about 2 inches long, but I figured it was just your mom being freaky & fingering my ass.

I'm just kidding Nermin, we do that around here as I'm sure you've noticed :smoking:

Interesting news Axel. Both teams would win on this game. Sweden get to play a strong SA team and Uruguay a solid EU team. Great experience for both teams.

I really hope that this game will be played. I will hold my thumbs.

How many people from Uruguay (approx.) in Sweden, and how many will be going to this game? This should be a good match.

There are thousands and thousands in Sweden, I predict we'll take over the stadium as the chilenos did, maybe not as many people because Chile has more inhabitants here, but we'll bring our tambores and play candombe in the stadium!

For shame Axel :worried: what happened to the ol' yellow and blue ?.

I wouldn't expect future matches to be as the Chile match. Swedes seem to have woken up and the quiet sausage eating spectators have gotten pushed out by a supporter culture that can be called a minor version of what Sweden brings to the major events EC/WC.

Though Sweden would still be outnumbered for these training matches, like you said, it's something you've been waiting for a long time so the away team would mobilize in a way that Swedes wouldn't.

Well I haven't seen much of a change except for bried periods of the games, always in qualifiers then, never in friendlies. Oh well, it will be a good match!

I dont really get what you are saying but I guess you doubt the support of the Swedish troop at home. Something I'd agree on, "Exhibit A" , Sweden's match against USA in Göteborg, it looked empty. Training matches are always sleepy. The QF has been a whole lot better this year.

It all depends when they play Uruguay, if it's summertime and leading up to the Euro with both teams at full force, I think the Swedish group should hold their own.

Considering the weak support at home, it's strange that Sweden's army is among THE very best of a EC/WC. Kinda strange, why they can't rally this support at home.

That should be an interesting match up. I mean i think Sweden will win but it will be good experience for both teams.

I mean that it is not that often that the crowd is loud during a game and sing chants etc, especially during friendlies. Although I do agree with you on that in Euro/WC's it's one of the best crowds there is. Funny how that goes.

Yep, I agree with you. And perhaps it's still so that Swedes are too busy stuffing sausages down their throats to get up and actually sing.

I would also put blame on the players themselves, there's never any fire in the interviews. It doesn't seem as if they care so why should anyone else. They could atleast make a case that they want to win the match for the sake of their ranking but it is what it is.

Yeah I know, I mean when we play Belarus or Macedonia or Malta there's always too much respect for the opponents, never can the coaches or players be a little liiiiitte "cocky" by sayin they will win the game. Always the same kind of comments. I'd like to see them fired up, ready to destroy, and admit it.

I think you're in good company. It's ridiculous. Perhaps it's only their fasad (sp? in english) but it comes off as a loser attitude. They don't have to have 2 cojones but how about having 1. I think it's the way of the Lagerbäck. I think it will be his demise. People are getting tired of hearing how they downplay their own strength. Lagerbäck will be fired because of image, not because of results.
