What a way to start off 2008. You play at home with the strongest side you can muster and Netherlands fields a C-squad and crushes Croatia 3-0. Last time Croatia lost at home was in 2004 when they lost in the last minute because Ramelow scored for Germany. If you play like this in the Euro 2008, you'll be out by the first round

I agree with you guys.

I watched the highlights. Our defense was non-existant. The 2nd and 3rd goal could have been prevented. Stipe Pletikosa wasn't even trying. The 3rd goal he just watched it pass by. I think the Russian league is finished for the time being, but that doesn't mean he should be playing like he's part of NK Novalja.

Srna had a few good chances, and Van Der Sar was playing amazing. Probably getting back at us for 98. lol.

Nonetheless, horrible display by our boys. Rakitic didn't even start, what the ***k man. 3 assists the last match and he only gets subbed in the 70th min.

I fear by the time the World Cup qualification starts our defense will be in deep trouble. Our midfield is set as is our future attackers, but defense all we seem to have is Corluka and Simunic. R. Kovac and Simic are getting past the point of playing anymore. Only real defender I can imagine being able to replace them in the future would be Knezevic who is being linked with numerous larger Serie A clubs such as AC Milan and Juventus.

I guess we'll see what happens next month in Scotland.

Simunic, Kovac, and Simic are pretty old... but Corluka is a fresh man, you guys can count on him... as well as Knezevic

I've got to say I'm worried about the WC qualifiers :(

I - like everyone else -saw Croatia totally crush England and thought 'what a great team'. So to see Netherlands put out a weakened team and win so comfortably has made me very nervous about facing Van Baten's men in our group.
