Game on Sunday at 19:00 turkish time.
Semih is expected to be out so Kezman will most likely get the spot. Hopefully we can get to see maldonado for the first time.
Oftas aint easy to beat, they beat a lot of teams lately and are doing very well for themselves.
edu said he eats oftas for dinner...

Sivas and Besiktas dropped points, so a win today will put a nice gap between us

First half was great, i couldnt believe my eyes but we actually got a penalty
Kezman was great, he was doing everything he needed to do. Our goals were from Alex and Kezman. We are up 2:0.
Sevilla's TD is at the match. Aurelio is playing great, same with carlos. I'm dissapointed with Maldonado though.
Great Goal by Roberto Carlos.
The Referee is honestly retarded tho

i dunno i was expecting more cause all the hype i guess.
We played a great game though. I am very satisfied, especially that carlos got a goal. Great assist by Kezman though.

nah man from what i hear thats what Maldonado does...personally i thought he played great, hes just the player i like. Wins loose balls, accurate passing, team player, hustles, headers, etc. and now Aurelio can push, and you saw it today, it will help the offense more

Alex's finishing touch was off today, but he was still very effective.
But when Lugano comes back either Maldonado or Kezman is gonna be on the bench next week. Lets see who gets replaced

Shit I forgot about that... Maldonado might get the boot to the bench, then, unless Deivid is replaced with Kazim or something. But then there'll be nobody to help Alex out. Deivid is like the only other player who can shape the game with his mind.
There's no way Yasin is taking the jersey from Lugano just yet. Same with Edu. Carlos is guaranteed a spot along with Alex. Kezman's hustle deserves him the jersey and Deivid is a vital part of the attacking force. WTF is Zico going to do...

Let's make Deivid Turkish.

Great win.
MOTM: Kezman. 1 goal, 1 assist, and hussle.
I was also 'not impressed' with Maldonado, but that doesn't mean he wasn't ok.
Furthermore, I kinda felt Ugur Boral was a little off today.
But all in all, good win.
Kinda shaky on that PK decision though.

I thought Ugur did good today, especially in the second half. And Maldonado's "stationary" play let Aurelio run loose and help us create more chances.
Making Deivid Turkish...eeehh...:err:

wat do u guys feel about having close to no turks on the team?

Volkan
Gokhan
Ugur
Selcuk
Semih
Those were the Turkish players on our lineup for most of the weeks this season. Except for Selcuk, every single one are NT players, with the addition of Aurelio. I think we have enough Turkish players.

why don't we just use Fenerbahce as our national team well we would have to add Nihat and Arda ;-)

If this was maybe 15-25 years ago, I'd probably hate the idea.
But in an era where teams like Real Madrid, Arsenal, Man U (etc,, big teams) can have almost no native players, then I think us Turkish teams could also do that.
HOWEVERRRRRRRRR,,,, for me, I protest against
non-BLOOD "Turks" playing on the NT.
I accept Kazim, but others, GTFO! I don't care how good you may be; save it for the club teams. Not being racist either.

see i am the say except in the case of Aurelio, cause this guy got the citizenship by actually following the laws like working here for 5 years unlike nobre and the rest who got it from some loophole in the laws.
I mean aurelio's even learned the national anthem, can speak somewat ok turkish, better than a lot of the guys i know here in america. And especially after seeing his goal sevinc after his first goal for the NT there is no way i could deny that Aurelio isnt worthy of playin on the NT.
Lol i mean the only thing the guy hasnt done to prove himself turk is go to asker.
I mean if he went to asker, i dont think even the most nationalistic of people could deny him.

I agree with F_PC on the Aurelio matter. In this era it is more acceptable but i would not like to see an all foreign team, i think the 6+2 works good
Fenerliyim

for i dont really like 6 + 2. i think its bs. I mean wtf is + 2. if ur gonna buy a foriegner u might as well buy one whose good enough to start. Imo 8 is an ideal limit not 6 + 2

Man, limiting foreigners in clubs is so.. old fashioned. You guys want to be in European Union, want to be one of the football-houses of Europe..
Won't get there like this.. Nope.. :nono:
Fenerliyim
02-11-2008, 06:19 PM
Well most countries already have limits like italy spain and england but since their in the EU, they have no power to put a limit on eu players but all the leagues have a limit of how many non-eu players they can have

If EU nations can't put a limit on the European players coming in, then when Turkey finally gets into the EU (!!!) this 6+2 bullshit won't be argued over anymore and those thinking foreigners are killing the future of Turkish football will pretty much have to shut up.
i liked how maldonado presented himself, his first pass was not so good, after that he played a solid defensive mf game. All his passes after the first one, were to the player's feet.
on the subject on foreign players, i want a damn european cup and if we need to obtain foreigners to get there, then lets get it done.
and on your say about limitations on non-eu players, all of our foreigners are non-eu :)

Turkey getting in the EU wont happen till 2020 or even farther, we prbly wont get in anyway.
Plus i dont see how it will help since almost our whole team is brazilian.
Fry36
02-12-2008, 05:11 PM
I doubt we'll be buying Brazilians for the rest of our team's existence. And since Turkey won't be in the EU for another century...
