I played as a junior, these days Im a spectator.

I follow Sydney FC and of course a medley of international clubs.

I played forward favoured the left wing. I'm a kacky hander (leftie).

I played local A grade (undefeated 2 years in a row) and for the district in my last year. I clocked up a decent amount of goals in the 5 years I played(always wanted to play goalie but my team mates insisted on me playing forward-I was a reasonably fast runner went to the district for 50 &100m ,State 400m and made the schools cross country team. )

I bowed out due to a severe knee injury that left me on crutches for roughly 6 months. while I was on the mend I discovered girls and basically I regret not playing again. Some of my best memories are on the feild.

My father also played football here in Australia..when it wasnt such a common thing.
He use to cut work early to help our team train.We practised twice a week which was pretty hard core for juniors and probably why our team did so well

Keep in mind that at junior level most goalies arent much chop normally the kid who can't kick the ball in a straight line gets put in goals or plays defense. Its real dash and bash approach at that age. Majority of the time its pretty easy to touch the back of the net.

I did play with some lads in the park when I was in Argentina in 2005. (I went to watch Riverplate vs Boca junior )..I held my own even scored (lazy touch from a good cross) but I'm not kidding anyone I was clearly outclassed. still fun tho

Na Sydney FCs title defence a few years back was the most lack luster thing i have ever seen, they couldnt do jack all on the pitchn :P

Other than Sydney made the finals to defend their title and Melbourne didnt even make the quater finals :P
