SLAVEN BILIC.

The NT just hasn't been the same without him. He gave so much for us, played through injury the whole of France98. Always was a strong prescence in the defence. He didn't waste balls when he was coming out of the defensive end, and was almost unbeatable in the jump.

I think the injury he had, and the surgery to repair it, effectively ended his career, at least on the level that he was. He can still play, but not like he used to, and probably won't see much NT action if any.

Nobody messed with Bilic. It really is heartbreaking not to have him on the NT anymore. I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way.

Believe me now Prosinecki your not the only one, Bilic for mind is the best defender we had and not having him now makes you realise how important he was to us, his performances in the WC of 98 were brilliant throughout and it just a shame injury cut his career short.

Bilic showed a lot of heart in WC98 and he is greatly missed. He was one of the important peices to the Croatian run in the World Cup and I can't think of anyone on the team now that has his caliber.

Do you guys think Bilic can get back to his old self? I really don't, but I'm still hoping.

I pray to God and Sveti Duje everyday to help heal Bilic so he can return to what he was. He plays with such intensity and heart, that it is a true shame that he can't continue to play 100%....Suker won the boot, but to me Bilic will always be the legend who brought us the 3rd place medal. He was simply always there, when he was on the pitch attitudes changed around him, people were AFRAID to come in the box, and AFRAID to challenge him. It is truly sad....
