Well this forum seems dead so let's try to "spice" ;) things up in here. Basically, when you answer correctly to a previous question (confirmation on whether or not the asnwer is right or not is needed by the person who asked the question) you post your own... I'll start with an easy one:

Which Italian team has won the most CL's and how many ? (if you don't get this one you must be a lost case..:D)

FANTA
08-30-2001, 02:32 AM
AC MILAN - 5

my question:

which team has lost the most CL finals ?

and how many ?

PFC

mitja

That's an easy one. Yugoslavia. If I'm not mistaen in that team played Prosinecki, Suker, Boban,... O what a team that would be if YUG would stay together. Anyway I'm happy Slovenians have now our own NT to root for. :D

And now the question. Against which goalkeeper scored Bierhof golden goal in final of Euro '96 in England.

And if you are sure that your answer is correct ask a new question.

The Admiral

Absolutely right! The man wins a hair dryer and a box of cigars!

Altafini was known in Brazil as Mazzola, and did the National-Team swap back when it was allowed. Today it can't be done - if you defend a National Team, even in childhood, you're not allowed to play for other country.

The floor is yours. What's your question?

heres an interesting fact:

____ won the Dutch Cup in 1970 after having lost in the round of 16 to AZ '67. Since by that stage only 14 teams actually were in the competition, one of the 7 defeated teams was drawn as lucky losers into the quarterfinal. ____ won that draw and then the Cup. The rule was abolished.

Zarak

Gudjohnsen, at 17, replaced his father, who was 35-year-old, in that match against Estonia.

Inspired by the good run of Arsenal this season, let me contribute the following questions:

(1) The most league wins in one season in English topflight football is 31 games. Which team and in which year set this record?

(2) Liverpool used to be hardly beaten in Anfield in the 70's & 80's. At that time, they set an unbeaten record at home (including local & European competitive matches). What was the record consecutive games did they go unbeaten in Anfield?

(3) Which team finished 3rd in Premier League with a minus goal difference? In which year?

Tottenham managed to win 31 league games in 1960-61 season setting a record for the most league wins in one season.

Norwich City finished 3rd in the English Premier League in the 1992-93 season with a minus goal difference.

Liverpool went 85 competitive first team games at home unbeaten, between January 23 1978 (when they lost 3-2 to Birmingham City) and January 31 1981 (when they lost 2-1 to Leicester City). This comprised 63 league games, 9 League Cup games, 7 European games and 6 FA Cup matches.

[QUOTE=londonguy1973]Celtic or Rangers?[/QUIf it is Celtic or Rangers it is Rangers.

But I think it is some team from Eastern Europe !

As a point of note there was a question on page 4 which asked what is the only English Proffessional team not to be named after a place and the answer given was Port Vale - this is incorrect Port Vale is a place - the only team in England which is not named after a place is Aston Villa.

I think I should ask a question now - who was the first player to be trasnferred in britain for £100'000 ?
