Discuss Ukraine's qualification for the upcoming world cup. We failed to qualify for EURO-2008, and recently Ukraine's coach Oleg Blokhin resigned. Curently the FFU is looking for a coach.
Group 6
Croatia
England
Ukraine
Belarus
Kazakhstan
Andorra

Tough group. Still think Ukraine should of got a international manager. Look at Poland got one and there on a amazing run now. Dont care if it takes out the National out of National team, i think a international manager would help our players get more developed, better training , but dumb surkis did it again . Hope Oleksiy Mykhaylichenko will doo good tho. I atleast would want to see Ukraine come second in the group

Very tough group. Croatia is a world class team at this moment... but take advantage of their defence... they are losing all their best defenders because of age and are struggling to keep their defence solid. England is really good squad too but a little inconsistent. Belarus are up to make surprises and Hleb is better than ever. Kazakhstan isn't an easy opponent to crack either... they pull surprises like beating Serbia 2-1 (your opponent in the next friendly) and tying with Portugal. Andorra .... ? If you don't beat them... I'll laugh for 3 days straight I swear to god

for some reason I think Belarus is gonna be the next Scotland of this qualifying campaign.

No. Their Futsal national team is decent, they qualified for Futsal World Cup in Brazil... but their national football team is nowhere near being the next Scotland in qualifying campaign. The only great player is Hleb... while the second best is probably Kalachev... and he plays for Krylya... where he hardly keeps his starting position there. They're a long way away.

for some reason I think Belarus is gonna be the next Scotland of this qualifying campaign. I don't think that is going to happen, for one they beat Holland when they had allready qualified and the Dutch were trying to get a lower ranking so they could get into an easy group in Euro. Secondly their fans are not as demanding as ours, so a stable qualification group finish (like 4th or 5th) is ok for them but not so for us.

Look at Big Daddy Cap in my sig. :smoking: I find that very arrogant that you come on to the Ukraine section and write their chances off. Ukraine are a good side at home and are unlucky at times away from home. Don't start on Croatia you do remember what happened the last time you played them, don't you?
You are probably right on Belarus though.

Arrogance is not against the forum rules Andy. I just don't want these good Ukraine fans upset when England smoke them. I am not alone in my beliefs that Capello will be victorious in 2010. Many, many football critics agree with me.

Well we lost to you in two friendlies before, so maybe 3rd time is the charm.
But honestly I think it will be very hard to beat England. They are so pissed off by not qualifying for EURO 08 that they just can't miss out on this WC.
