rangers is the favorite because of the home advantage but i still think panathinaikos is the better side..if we do perform like in madrid against athletico even though we hav lost 2-1 we r gonna win..i am not comparing rangers and aberdeen but aberdeen seemed like an amateur or semi-pro team when we had them in athens, same as lokomotiv so rangers really hav to get a 'clear' win at home to go through and b twice as good as 2004... score prediction 1-0 to rangers even thow ill b gutted cos ill come frm leeds to c us win! andy do u know if the tickets have been issued?

^ Simple answer is no.

The best chance you've got is to actually go to the home end but I wouldn't suggest you do that because there could be a Rangers fan who wanted that ticket and didn't get it because you will be in the wrong end. Sorry mate anyway!!!

We have Jean-Claude Darcheville and Daniel Cousin up top but we also have Kris Boyd and Steven Naismith as well plus Nacho Novo.

Watch out for JCD tho he could destroy you guys, he is so fast its scary.

oh yeh i forgot about Cousin he is a good player after all Lens did kick us out when he was playin..Darcheville heard good comments about him..still think Cousin is the best u got up front he is skillful..dunno if Novo is off-form but he standed out when rangers was a really mediocre team..watched them in nicosia play against Anorthosis famagusta n he made the difference when anorthosis was the better team on pitch by scoring a couple of wkd goals. Helder Postiga thow is a step or two better than any other panathinaikos or rangers player :D

Heres my prediction:

Rangers will try to play fast attacking football and will succeed on the most part and the defense will be solid. The only worry is set-pieces and the attack, I mean Cousin isn't exactly Rangers-daft at the moment.

My Prediction: Rangers 2-0 Panathinaikos

I agree Cuellar was the only player who could be proud of his performance but Davis showed some promise for the future. But that isn't going to get us through - and we're unlikely to win in Greece if we play anything like we did at Ibrox.

u had 3 really gud chances plus the header by cousin and the shot blocked and blocked again by galinovic from novo...u cant expect anymore chances playin against a team like panathinaikos, they were more than enuff! u hav to score the ones u create..as far as am concerned am disappointed by our defence lettin novo run 3 times inside the box like that..i know novo is a really gud player but they defended a lot better against better strikers..on the other hand we had 2 gud chances n a few corner kicks we culd take advantage of but didnt..am sure its gon b a better match in athens..this was a midfield match mostly..BEST FANS THAT EVER VISITED IBROX AY!! listen the quote 'a team like panathinaikos' didnt mean that we are the dogs bollocks it meant that we r a decent team..logically when u play against a decent team at home u cant expect more than 3-4 really gud chances..this goes for all teams..even barcelona man utd all teams!thats when u hav to score..am not criticisin rangers ur fans do it..i never underestimated rangers with me comments..u had ur chances u didnt score..it mite happen to us in athens u know..

Rangers have been hard to predict this year....I think they will draw strength from the Aberdeen match and get a 2-2 draw :D
