Hey guys-can you tell me a little more about these guys?
I have never seen them play but I know they supposedly are very good now, but young...
Vranjes went to Leverkuesen but but rarely plays. They both were on the U-21's...
Can you guys let me know their "style" of play. And who they in terms of play most closely resemble on our Vatreni?
Who is a better player now? And actually-which positions are they most suited for.
Thanks for any info-it's much appreciated.

I can give you a little help.
Leko is a playmaker who's got great skills. He's got a great shot and is a very good replacement for Boban in that role, as long as his development continues along the right path.
Vranjes is also an outstanding talent but he is a midfielder. He plays more defensive midfield but is a dominating prescence in the midfield. He usually controls the flow of the game.
I know this stuff from Pros, who won't be posting much in the next few days. He's back at work after surgery, so he's got a lot to do there, and probably won't post much.
Hopefully his recovery is a good one. :)

I think Vranjes is not only greater prospect than Leko, but also resembles Boban much more in leadership and elegence. And, also, could play (and already did play) as a playmaker, too. I think he has more predispositions to develop into the leader of the next Cro team, but should definitively get more chances to play in Leverkusen, since otherwise he might fall back in development.
Leko is more like Asanovic, with great long-distance shot (and crossses from set-pieces, too) and he's less elegant, but more "engine-type" player, although his "last pass" is good enought to get him the position of a playmaker in "Hajduk".
They're both young enough to play even one more cycle of U-21 NT competition.

I didn't follow Vranjes to much this past year, but I know alittle about Leko.
Leko play's for Hajduk and the U-21 NT. He is a very important player for Hajduk, and he scored 12 goals in 26 games during the season, making him the second highest scorer for Hajduk behing Mate Baturina. He played striker along with Baturina and Vucko. He was also injured for a while, but he is doing better now:-)
He is a leader in Hajduk and highly respected by the U-21 NT organization. I would pick him over Vranjes, due to his exposure.
Stick him and Baturina in, along with Balaban and J.Simic, and we're laughing...
My two cents.....
P.s - GET RID OF SUKER, HIS TIME HAS PAST...

Ćiro said that he's expecting a lot from Leko - well, I think he should first have a season or two in a stronger league to prove himself and get some int. experience, than, we'll see. Vranješ, the same thing.

Vranjes said if he doesn't get an opportunity at Leverkusen this season, he'll leave. He'll go to another German team or to Italy. Good for him, he doesn't need to spend his developing years on the bench. Better to be a starter at Perugia, than a bencher at Leverkusen.
