What country makes the best wine?

Anybody have a preference towards the country of their favorite type of wine?
I haven't tried a Merlot I didn't like, any country so far, Australia, USA, Italy.

Nemea area produces different kinds of wines. The dark red one I referred to is dry.

My vote for best country for wine (not the best individual bottle)
1.) U.S.
2.)France
3.)Turk/Greece
4)Italian
5.)Argentina-the rest.


We make decent wine but I wouldnt call it the best.I juess it all depends on you...best may be refferd to as your spending limit, & wine availability or with whom you drink with & with what (food).

I prefer California wine (1.Cabernet Sauvignon,2.Merlot) with aged cheese or Steak...But I will only drink in ocasions now...Dont drink like I used to

For all around party bottle...I like the 100% Blue Agave Mexican Tequila...good stuff...Or just beer...hahaha

australian wine is one of my favourites with spanish wine. this summer though i picked up a bottle while i was montenegro and it was one of the best wines i ever drank. also i like canadian ice wines.
