Alija was a member of the Lazio fan group Laziofever. Last year he was diagnosed with lung cancer, and fought it hard until he beet it and it left his body, but one of his legs had to be amputated. The members of LazioFever raised money for him to come from Zenica to Rome to watch a Lazio match. A few weeks ago he was again diagnosed, but this time with Lung cancer. After his first surgery was unsuccsesfull he had another surgery and got through it. Then he started Cemo therapy. When everything seemed fine, and he made his final post on the ... forum, he passed in his sleep. To follow his story further go to

Best wishes to your family, I wish I was half as strong as you were. This is the first time someones story made me cry. I hope your family gets through this tragedy. You will be in our hearts forever, and I will never forget your story.
RIP ALIJA!

Very sad story. I just read the entire 8 pages of the thread. Its so sad that he has gone through so much. I think he is a symbol for strength against all odds and he is a inspiration. I'll post up a comment on Xtratime right now. Thanks for showing me such a great fighter Dinoinho.

Yeah life can be so tragic mate. You live happy one day and the next your battling illness and at the edge of death. I really feel for this fella. Its so sad how long he fought this and ended up passing. But hey, beyond this life is a greater one. Just remember that man.

Im sorry for this guy but this has nothing do do with us. Do you know who Lazio fans worship, who is their hero.....Hmm, Lazio fans have no respect from me, becouse if someone is Lazio fan we know what they stand for...those who dont, well i feel sorry for you.
Btw why didnt you guys opened threat when rahmetli Aner Kasapovic Buaz and The Maniacs where beaten by police in Zenica, later he died becouse of wounds.
Or Zeljo fan who recenlty also died:sad:?.

This is no debate. I am not a big Lazio fan also but this is a person's life. Same with the Zeljeznicar fan. For the love of god.

OMG i have respect for this Alija guy but not the Lazio ultras - do you know who they salute many times - people like Arkan, mussolini, hitler and other facist terrorists.
Bosnian Unit is right - this has nothing to do with us
