I can say I am satisfised with the draw my nation got, most of the other groups are tougher. However as I said Israel and Switzerland are decent teams we must not underestimate. And let's not forget that Switzerland is the president's team and we have to be cautious.

Italianduke, I don't think that Greece doesn't deserve to be top seeded. Based on coefficients we are top seeded, not because we are in pot 1, not because of our Euro title. We are 11th in Fifa ranking, and 9th in UEFA ranking, so we deserved to be on pot 1. Don't forget that other average teams(Croatia) are in pot 1 too.

Greece is the favorite to win the division but it wont be a cakewalk. Israel has not lost at home in 7 years and improved to Pot 2. The Swiss should be a Pot 1/Pot 2 team but because they did not play any qualifying matches, they dropped to Pot 3. They qualified for the last several tournaments and made it to the second round of WC 2006 where they topped their division over eventual finalist France and lost in penalties to Ukraine.

Greece was lucky amongst the Pot 1 teams in the draw but its not lucky that they are in Pot 1 for they worked hard to get there to avoid the Big Boys and reaped the reward as such.

Greece worked hard to get into Pot 1. As for jokes, your division is something to laugh at. The Swiss, in Greece's division, have consistently qualified for the last several tournaments unlike Bulgaria and Ireland, who are in Italy's division. I believe that Turkey and Norway are better than Israel and Switzerland, and since we are better than both of them and qualified with ease in the Euro qualifying group, I don't know why we should have problems with this one. And if our FA was not corrupted we would be something like Croatia, Zlatan Ibrahimovic would play for us....and 17 yrs old Miralem Pjanic (Metz) would at least play in our U21 NT, Emra Tahirovic (Lille) would at least get chance in one game insted of some domcestic league players who's managers pay our FA so they can play in our NT so they can be sold easier and for more money. Sergej Barbarez who is ranked 9th in Bundesliga would still play, so would Salihamidzic from Juventus ,Papac from Glazgow Rangers etc... Im sure outcome of our games would be different if we was not in this kind of shit.

This group is the easiest out there. A boring group if u ask me, imo Isreal will make it and the greeks as well. i dont remember the last time israel lost in israel and the swiss are nothing, they only made WC06 cause of Blatter, and are in Euro 08 cause they host it.

The greeks dont play eye-pleasing football, but they get the job done, and tend not to lose points to the smaller fish in groups

Switzerland would have played 3 official matches in a 4 year period so there team isnt as organized as it should be. I really dont like when host countries dont play official games because the team isnt on the same page. Thats better for us but i think Isreal would be the hardest team for us. the only difference.. we dont drop easy points like they do.

Yeah I agree Switzerland have only played a few games but I think they are still dangerous and should be watched, also Israel only missed out on qualification for the European championships by a point so they should be watched but Greece have been great in the last few years and are rightly the favourites.

Israel have more then just 3-4 good players, you're just not really familiar with them.
Here's some information about Israeli football and players:

Yossi Benayoun - Liverpool. Scored 11 goals in his first season in Liverpool (2 hat tricks).

Tal Ben Haim - Plays for Chelsea.

Roberto Colauti - Argentinean Israeli plays for Borussia Monchengladbach so far scored 4 goals in pre-season matches.

Gui Assulin - 17 years old plays for Barcelona youth team, he's considered to be the next Messi.

Ben Sahar - Chelsea Young player (19 yo) currently on loan at Portsmouth.

Israel made a huge progress by the years. They almost qualified to WC 2006 finished #3 with the same point as Switzerland. Switzerland eventually made it because of Goal difference.
To Euro 2008 they were missing only 1 point to qualify, while winning Russia 2-1.
The Israelis really feel that they can make it this time, and it's gonna be really hard to stop them. Greece will want to forget Euro 2008 and show that they are still a strong team. As for Switzerland, they're just not good enough.

My Guess is: Israel and Greece

Israel showed their quality and determination during 2008 qualification against quality teams like Croatia England and Russia.

My prediction is that the Israelis will topple the group. Then come the Swiss quality wise and then probably the Greeks but their crapy performance during Euro 2008 does not promise a lot for the greeks.

Israel have thrown any chance of qualifying away. It was a shock to see them lose to latvia yesterday. I really hope Latvia push Greece all the way and force them from 2nd spot. It really is Greece's spot to lose as they have an easier run in than Latvia.
They face Moldova which they will win. The game after that is key to 2nd spot as they face Latvia at home. Win that and they have 2nd wrapped up.
Latvia on the other hand face Switzerland this Wednesday then Greece and a home match against Moldova.
Looks like we are going to have to suffer Switzerland at another finals.
