Imho Tough groups are 1,6,7 and 9
Greece is the luckiest team of the World, always getting groups which are a joke.
I think we got a good group, i was fearing we'd get England but luckily it didn't happen.
England will have to face again the nightmare Croatia, while Ukraine is the unluckiest team of the world.
EDIT: Scotland have big chances to reach the second stage phase of qualifications and the challenge vs Netherlands will be very interesting
Portugal, Sweden and Denmarks will be very interesting, let's see if the Danish will be able to do qualify instead of others.

I don't think our group is too hard but maybe we might not finish first.

Everything will be about what you will do in direct matches vs Netherlands, obviously if you won't lose important points vs minor teams

Only one teams gets a spot on the WC per group?
Never payed attention to EUFA WCQ

I feel sorry for Scotland because in that group there is no play off chance, only the winner will go to South Africa
How did you get this wrong information?

From Group 1 to group 8 the winner of the group will qualify, while the seconds while face each others in playoffs to qualify.
In group 9 only the winner will qualify.

No someone said to me that it is the best second placed teams like the 8 teams with the most points that go into it.
Edit: It's official, the results for the second placed teams against the team that finishes last in groups 1-8 will be discounted to decide the 8 best teams to go into the play off

Maybe i misunderstood then

Sorry my bad, i misunderstood one thing.
The best 8 seconds will go to second stage of qualification, which will be playoffs.
So Scotland have big chances of qualify.
I apologize for my mistake :P

^ yes here is a better explanation.
1. Teams that come second will be in a sort of group and the 8 teams with the most points will go into a play off competition.
2. Because Groups 1-8 have an advantage of playing more games than Group 9, all of the second place teams in Groups 1-8 results against the bottom placed team in their group do not go towards the final table and this gives teams from Group 9 a better chance.
E.g Poland finish with 24 points, 6 of these came against San Marino. So Poland will have 18 points in the final table to decide the play offs

Got it, it seems a bit unrespectful of the little countries tho

Yeah but it does help because group 9 doesn't have a pot 6 team, so I suppose its fair.

Maybe the coefficient points/n°matches would have helped more

Group 9....I'm reasonably happy.
Was glad to avoid Italy, France and Croatia from the top pot although Holland on their day are as good as anyone. Norway was a tough one from the third pot and Macedonia and Iceland both pose difficult away challenges. Overall, I'd take second place and a play-off spot :D

Group 8 looks to be very interesting. Italy are world champions, Ireland and Bulgaria in particular can be decent teams, Georgia, Cyprus and Montenegro are all capable of upsets.
England might not qualify again ooking at that. Croatia and Ukraine are both capable of finishing ahead of them and will provide tough away games, while trips to Belarus and Kazakhstan could provide problems.
