a report in turkey just came out saying, inhaling nargile once is equilavent of smoking one cigerrete and the average use of Nargile during one sitting is 100 so its like u had 100 cigerretes during that one sitting.

They use to say that the smoke is filtered while it passes through the water, but it depends to the tobacco you put in. The original tobacco for nargile (tumbeki) is much more heavy than the tobacco used in cigarettes so any filtering is not enough.
