Quick question to help with my research into Mexican Football -

Do all the professional teams in Mexico have reserve teams playing in a reserve league?

Do the professional teams have youth teams in Mexico?

If so, how does each system work? Do they play in regional or nation wide leagues and tournaments?

What are the age groups for youth players?

Are reserve teams opportunities for injured players or squad players to gain valuable match practice for the future first team action?

Most if not all do!

Do the professional teams have youth teams in Mexico?

Yes they do! They have Primera Divison, Primera "A",Segunda, Tercera and so on lower amateur divisions!

If so, how does each system work? Do they play in regional or nation wide leagues and tournaments?

Well I think that Primera Division and Primera "A" play nation wide! But about sgunda and tercera im not sure!

What are the age groups for youth players?

About age groups theres different age groups for example for tercera theres some player like age 14 to like 17 early 18's or so!

Are reserve teams opportunities for injured players or squad players to gain valuable match practice for the future first team action?

Yes thats what they are for so they can practice for the first team and also for injured players so they can get into shape and rhythm so they can go back to the first team. Also they used it to punish some players when they do something that the administration doesn't likes they send them there for a couple of games to take them away from the first team.

Yes they have divisions just like the usa A AA AAA
