I read that :ronaldo: will be called up to join seleçao against argentina. Is that true? Maybe in order to make some kind of psychological boost for the scratch, but i don't think he'll go further than the bench......what do you think Garrincha?

I don't think it's a good idea. It's not a matter of questioning Ronaldo's recovery or his talent - although I DO think his recovery needs to be watched closely.

First, in my opinion this is a moment when she should be forgotten about by Scolari. Leave the man in Milano, let him recover his confidence and rythm. If he returns to his great form, excellent, call him up. But I don't think it's going to be that quick; he should take at least a couple of months playing regularly. Not only does he need to be evaluated - but Inter should have his services for this period, after all the patience and investment they have shown.

Does the national squad need him? Why, of course - if he's fit and playing well. Should he be called up as soon as he's ready to be fielded? NO WAY. It's not his time yet, and I don't think he's going to magically make the team play beautifully. So he would be called up for his reputation, charisma and potential - and THAT would be unfair to the OTHER players.

There's an expression in Brazil that applies nicely to the situation of Brazil's other strikers like Elber, Edilson and Denilson. They were called up to chew the bones; and NOW, when the nightmare is nearly over, and there's tender steaks to be eaten, Ronaldo is called up? That's not fair.

My point is: Call Ronaldo when he's playing well enough to merit a national squad place. Don't call him for his potential or his experience. We need players who can deliver on the pitch NOW! Ronaldo being called now just sounds like a publicity stunt. And the results could be terrible.

You're obviously right. the guys who earned this chance to classify should stay in their rightfull places, and besides ronaldo should be left alone to recover well and get his game back, otherwise it would be harmful to him and the team. But i read somewhere (I don't remember where) that scolari would call him in order to help the team by just his presence, just to motivate the rest, not to actually play. I was just wondering if that was true (that he would be called up)

i think that if he is ready then he should be called up regardless of what denislon and co have put in this is Ronaldo not some other mediocore player that has to earn a starting spot , now i am no tsaying that he is god and theat no matter what he deserves to be on the field , but its not like Brazil have been playing the way they are capable and well if he is ready any team in the world could use him. but i do agree that Inter should have a say in what he does for the time being they have spent lots of money and time waiting for him. amd i dont think that it is a coincidence that both Inter and Brazil struggled while he was gone

I agree with both, Garrincha and lilphenom, Ronaldo should be left in Milano for a while to recover his ability to play football. Now other guys should have a chance, specially Elber, since I think that Brazil could use make good use of him more often than it did in the past.

Do any of you guys have any news about OAnimal - Edmundo? I wasn't able to find any information about him in past few months, since Napoli was relegated. Did he went back to Brazil or he stayed in Europe?

Another question for Brazilian residents. I am about to buy a new anthena in order to be able to watch brazilian national team matches. Which brazilian channel(s) show these games live?
