I’m reading a book on Eastern European football at the moment written by Guardian columnist Jonathan Wilson.

In his book Travels in Eastern European Football he recommends strongly to watch a copy of Red Star Belgrade’s European Cup Semi-Final with Bayern Munich - both home and away legs - as one of football’s true classic performances from a truly inspirational team whose one moment in time and history had arrived.

I would be grateful of any offers of help in owning a copy of the two games with Bayern - as a true fan of the many great teams of the former Eastern bloc countries.

I was living abroad in Bahrain at the time of the last great Red Star team and was unfortunate enough to miss their zenith. Now, through the help of generous Serbian fans and the wonders of modern technology, I hope someone could point me in the direction of a possible download link - or indeed, I would be willing to trade DVD’s to obtain a copy of Red Star’s finest hour.

Please Help!

Red Star 2-2 Bayern Munich (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8149404442859290039&q=zvezda+bayern&total=116&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=4)

That video can be found on Google Videos and shows the complete match. You can also find DVDs or VHS material from the glory days at Red Star's fan shop online, and also a few games that can be downloaded through torrent technology.

Thanks Boris.

Which would be the best source to use which would include footage of the amazing Marakana fans before and after the game?

Do you have any direct information (links) to torrent sites I can pass on to my I.T. colleague? (I’m AppleMac!!).

www.yuwabits.net

The site is in Serbian though, but it includes a few games from the glory days such as the European Supercup against Manchester United.

Delije Fan Shop (http://www.delijeshop.com/user/front.jsp;jsessionid=508A558663A5FA2250DB0B188E0BDD01?f_shop_id=2&f_partner_id=0)

On this site, you can find various video material. If you click on VHS Video, you can find videos about Red Star fans, the Delije (complete collection), games from 1990/91, games from before 1991, European Cups since the dissolution of Yugoslavia, and also the best derbys against Partizan Belgrade.

For Red Star fans, here are the two best sites.

www.delije.net
www.delije-caffe.co.yu

On each, you can find multimedia, video and audio material. Pictures are also updated after every single Red Star game. Contact me for help since all the content is in Serbian.

You can also find various videos from the Delije on www.youtube.com

Delije lighting flares before the Bayern game (1990/91) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcA4EedDitM)

BBC Report about the Delije. Footage shows the Delije during the game against Bayern (1990/91) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzNdqn7E_hY)

Here are some pictures from the 1990/91 game in Belgrade against Bayern.

Smoke coming out of Marakana. The stadium is IN the ground.

Yeah man Crvena Zvezda used to rock in the 80's and 91, 92 seasons.

My dad was a big fan when he was in the JNA and Used to go to marakana and stadion partizan to watch the derbys.

and the grobari bastards would call all the Delije "Cigani" lol.

anyway CV used to rock before the nationalists/facists took over.
