Henry struggling to find place at Barcelona
October 25, 2007
Thierry Henry admits he's struggling to find his place at Barcelona, it has been revealed.
AS says the French ace has confessed to his former Arsenal teammates that he's finding it difficult to make his mark both on the field and in the Barca dressing room.
He is missing the 'family' atmosphere at the Gunners and also struggling to adjust to the less fluent way Barca play. Henry is sad about his situation and has reportedly admitted to ex-Arsenal teammates he gets depressed when thinking back on his time in London.
Henry penned a four-year deal with Barca in the summer.
barca is not playing the type of football henry plays, hes not tht good at the
'bombard the goal' tactic as could have been easily seen by the mistakes he made during tuesday's game
Henry is waaaay past his prime.

Yeah Barca are a team that players have to fit around not the club fit around a player. They are not like, AC where they don't look like winning games away, Barca always look dangerous.

henry is past his best, he was awesome for arsenal years ago but slowly lost his pace and ability. i think the same goes for ronaldinho and deco who for me dont play as well as they once did. manchester united for me look like the best team in the world.
Don't be shy paul. You can say it. Arsenal looks like the best team in the world at the moment. Hands down!

its very close between the two, the rooney and tevez partnership is lethal. i just hope the young guns keep playing like they are, id like to see david villa come to arsenal, i think that would be a perfect addition.
Yeh definitely man. I would love to see Villa in a Gunner jersey!

I think Henry can perfectly fit in the team, it's just that he's out of shape. I read that his recent divorce affected him a lot. He can perfectly go back in shape, he's a super class.

Henry comes clean over Barcelona struggles
October 31, 2007
Thierry Henry has pleaded with Barcelona fans for time to adjust to his new surroundings.
"The Arsenal Henry was at Arsenal, now I'm at Barcelona and you won't see the Arsenal Henry any more," the France forward told a news conference at the Nou Camp on Tuesday.
"Barcelona are a different team, with a very different way of playing and I, too, have to play differently.
"Maybe I haven't been at my best level up to now, but I've scored four goals and given three scoring passes. I try to help the team...."
Henry continued: "Here they play differently to the way they play at Arsenal. There we played a more direct style and the ball came to me more quickly.
"But I have to adapt to the club and the team and not the other way round and that takes time. Barcelona have played this way for many years, it is their style and I have to adjust to it."
Henry also defended Barca team mate Ronaldinho who has come under fire after a lacklustre start to the season.
"Ronaldinho has played at top level for a long time but he isn't a robot," he said.
"I don't think he is playing as badly as they are saying. The problem is that expectations are so high. What isn't normal is that Ronaldinho has played at such a high level for such a long time so whenever his performance drops a little people get upset.
"For me Ronaldinho is a very important player for the team because he is a great player and he will always get the attention of the opposition defence and that helps us play."

Give the man some time. Going from the EPL to La Liga can't be easy. 2 very different leagues. He's getting used to it.

Give Henry some time. He's used to his teammates, from Arsenal, giving him the ball most of the time and depending on him to win the game for the team, that he's still adjusting.
Lance Knight

so basically he was just a loafer at arsenal then accroding to your post...

Yeah didn't he just scored against Rangers they other day? I think he'll do just fine in Barca but we tend to expect too much. It has only been a few months!

at the end of the day, if ur a good striker you can play well at any big team in the world. henry is definately past his best. and the 2 leagues arent so different, the english premiership is a bit faster and more physical, while the spanish league is a little more passing around infront of goal, a little like arsenal play.. but not quite as good ;)

It may not be the most wonderful goals, but its a goal. And the score is all that matters when the game is over.

not really, arsenal play some of the best football there is. so do barcelona and real madrid, man u, milan..
im just sayin arsenal are probably playing the best right now, and the players are average age of 21.

Henry's form may be in decline, but he still has it. He is a victim of what happens when you go to a football club with about 15+ all stars. What's happening to him in Barca is completely normal.

I wish Menez would go to Arsenal. I feel he would own there. Henry should have never moved from Arsenal. It was clear as day that he was fit to play EPL and not Liga.

I would much rather watch a La Liga side in action than a premiership side. The Spaniards know how to pass the ball and make things happen unlike Premiership sides who wait and wait until getting a goal.

first we not talking about barca's results, we talking about henry's form
a guy with one leg broken could have made the simple tap-ins that he made

your just jealous that your shitty league isnt as good as ours so u have to try belittle us all day. dont come out with shit when you dont look at the facts.
champions league recent games:
the recent games have shown chelsea to beat valencia, barcelona..
man u beating roma, twice, and once by 7 goals.
liverpool beating barcelona to kick them out the tournament.
arsenal have beaten inter milan, juventus, real madrid, sevilla, ajax. these are the most recent games.
chelsea play valencia this week. both very good teams. drogba is injured so there is a chance valencia can win. but at full strength i think chelsea would dominate.

dude, do alittle scouting first before making assumptions, this season valencia has been so poor.
didnt sevilla beat arsenal in their last meeting
dont only see the good, see the bad too and then comment
when the knockout phases reach and teams have to play home or away, we would see whose better

ManU beat Roma in this UCL by one goal and lucky at that too.
Last year you won one and we won one.
Don't confuse things son.

man u diddnt just beat roma, they destroyed them. 7-1, u cudnt do that to any big team in england. and the last game wasnt lucky, it was a tight game and roma were seeking revenge. and still lost.
also yeh sevilla beat arsenal but they diddnt have half their team playing, the game a few months before arsenal won 3-0 with full team.

It was a humiliating game I agree, but you forget that we beat ManU and totally outplayed them when in Roma, like ManU did in Manchester. Only the score differ but in the end, the result was the same. 1 win each.
No, maybe that is what they told you in England, with also the bollock that "we couldn't do that to any English side"... but we were not seeking revenge. Unlike you, we are above certain stupid little things like, making XMas 7-1 chocs boxes. How pathetic.
It was an ok game, and you had one lucky shot on goal and got the post and in. Period.
We also didn't have Taddei and other big players, but I don't use that as an excuse do I? Arsenal lost... period.
Gunner

what 7 lucky shots? lol this is what gets me u shout ur mouth about england giving excuses and being overhyped. NOW its YOU giving the excuses. carrick (english) scored 2 long range shots no keeper could have stopped. alan smith, another englishman scored. Rooney, scored. you got a true english battering.

This post reflects two things.
One, you are not very smart, and two, you misread on pourpose.
I never said they had 7 lucky shots, moron, I said that in the 1-0 win of ManU over us... it was ONE lucky shot.
Is it finally getting into that little britt brain of yours? Also... What does the nationality of the scorer mean? Nothing. Carrick's shots could have been stopped. We were on bad form and honestly just sucked. But you make it seem like you are some sort of supreme race when in fact its the opposite.
We are world champs... you can't qualify to the Euro with an Eng manager and need an Italian one now of course.

here we go, changing the subject. i dont care about england NT right now, im focussed on the english teams winning in the champions league. As usual all the english teams are through. roma cudnt beat man u last night even when united rested most of their star players. they played people like darren fletcher and u cudnt beat them! Roma are shit. maybe not in italy but to us u are.

I am not changing the subject, you just can't can't keep up with me. I am showing everyone your immense logical fallacies and yet you insist with your racist remarks.
Roma is not shit, with not even 1/900th of your money we managed to get to the same exact point you are. Also, we didn't beat them and they did not beat us. It was a 1-1 tie. Yours came from a lucky corner, ours was on action.. I say we played far better than you with our reserves.
Again, don't talk. You sound stupid... or just English for that matter.
