Week 1: Istanbul B.B.S - Fenerbahce 2-0

On friday at 21.45 turkish time we will be playing our first league game for the season in the Atatürk Olympic stadium.

Dont know much about the opponent but the first game of the league is always risky. The fact that we played well against bjk last weekend worries me because turkish teams has a habbit of relaxing after a god result.

The stadium is also very bad in terms of football and i doubt that the stands will be filled with fans.

I really want to see Gokhan Gonul play. People who watch the second division said he was the best ever to play there. Better than Tuncay, Gokhan Zan and others. So, I really wanna see him play. :)

Yeah, i heard about Gökhan....if im not mistaken he was chosen the player of the year in LigA last season. But i still think that Önder should play because he is the better player....but it doesnt hurt to have a player as Gökhan behind Önder. Both have to fight for the jersey and that will always gain Fenerbahce. :)

Onder should play as CB. So we can put Gokhan in RB. Can is making too many mistakes, imo, especially timing mistakes.

I was in a great mood before the game started, now I'm very pissed off.

Zico is killing me again. We all saw how Can struggled against BJK. We all know a change needed to be made. Apparently, Zico didnt. He put the same defense on the field. Result, 2 goals in the first, both coming from mistakes of Can.

Can isnt the only bad one today. Actually everybode but R. Carlos and Kezman is playing really shitty. Zico needs to change things around before the second half starts. Or else, we gonna lose the first game of the season.

Istanbul BB outplayed us in every part of the game, and deserved their victory. We played like a shit!

A very dissapointing performance last night...Istanbul was better in every part of the game.

Strange to see this team play this poorly considering how they played only a few days ago in germany.

I had never seen Aurelio play this uninspired throughout his 4 years with us. He barely had energy to run. Deniz wasnt much better but he improved in the second half but Aurelio kept playing backwards or sideways.

I think we broke a record in backwards and sideways passing...:D

The defense looked poor as hell mainly because of Önder and Can. Önder has shown really poor positioning....and when Can copes with him our defense looks rediculous. Look at both goals....in the first goal Kerim gets the ball between Can and Önder and in the second Ugur is left alone to defend and the others are nowhere to be seen.

Im afraid that Can has been a dissapointment and Önder is not the player he was 2 years ago. His passing have been poor and i dont understand how a guy tall like him can be so poor in the air....it looks like it's his timing that is really poor.

Tümer, Ugur, Kezman werer other dissapointments in the gme.

The "better" players in the game were Deivid, Edu and to some extent Ilhan Parlak who showed great work ethic when he entered the field....always nice to see somone trying to change the outcome.

Anyways...im not a bit worried because we know this team is so much better. We saw that against bjk and hopefully this is one of those wakeup calls we need in the beginning of the season. :)

Was anyone else happy that is was actually Kerim who scored against us. This only shows how professional our players and board are.

I remember how some clubs made deals with players they loaned out to other clubs that they werent allowed to play against them. Here we have a Fenerbahce product scoring against us....well done Kerim! :)

Well look at that! They really outplayed Fener.
Well, FenerFan talked about what's wrong with Zico's managing skills well and that makes him a bad one in most of us's eyes. This game proved it perfectly.

just i suspected, we lost. i was waiting for this. we never do well in the beginning of the season. just only a few seasons ago we lost to istanbulspor 3-0 so this was no suprise.

I think our team is much weaker than last year since we lost Tuncay. he was like our 2nd forward and always brought life to the team. I dont when zico will get some sense and see Kezman cant play by him self. I really do hope we get tekke cause Kezman needs help.
