This is might be the best season to look forward to for the bayern fans. Bayern will be back in the Champion League again and winning the bundesliga!!

Yeah klose is one of bayern's biggest signing this season but i'm more excited to see Frank Ribery in action than klose!! He never played in the bundesliga before so this will be an exciting season for bayern with so many new faces and changes!

I am an ex-Inter fan. So I used to keep up with Toni when he was in the Serie A. He is a first class striker because his team was not talented and he was still able to create great situations.

AC Milan had to go through the qualifying round to win the CL. Liverpool had to do the same to play that AC Milan team. It can be done.

I understand what you say, but on paper, VERY few times can handle Bayern right now. But like you said, it depends on how the teams play together.

Also, Liverpool beating Chelsea was no upset. Chelsea had a schedule backup and were dog tired for the game. Everybody I knew was not suprised when them AND Man U lost in the semis and for the same reason. Too many games. I think kills the English teams in the CL who go far in the FA Cup and/or Carling Cup.

But as of right now, without knowing anything abotu anybody, my early season prediction (as I'm sure most peoples are), is that Bayern will win the UEFA Cup

What are you taking abt FK lol? Even before the world cup no one who follows soccer closely thought England was going to win it unless u're a fanatical English fans!!! Infact they were labelled as the most overated before the world cup :lol: But nevermind that let's talk about bayern now...

Of course no one can guarantees that bayern can win the UEFA cup lol we are just being optimistic here. Realisticaly as u said its very difficult.... so if they don't then it's football anything can happen. Like i said who cares about the UEFA Cup lol. Whats important for bayern now is to try win the bundesliga and get into CL again!

Bayern just beat Werder Bremen 1-4 in the Quaterterfinal German League Cup on Juy 21st.2007. Two goals by Ribery, one from Borowski and first from Hamit Altintop as bayern striker. The semi-final match will be against Stuttgart on July 25th.2007

Scary, absolutly scary how loaded Bayern Munich have become.
As I've said before, Klose is the biggest signing because he is no longer with Bremen, is he injured? I heard Toni was, but I wasn't sure about Klose.

Yeah Klose didn't play in this match...he was suffering from muscle strain from the last match against Werder Bremen in the quarterfinal which Bayern won of course!! :D

Btw this game also featured Rensing bayern's 2nd goalkeeper which will be replacing Oliver Kahn upon his retirement soon!! Pretty impresive keeper!!

In another development... bayern striker Santa Cruz has finally signed a deal with Blackburn rovers and leaving the club. Everyone is really relief by the news because frankly he has no more future in bayern and he really want out too. the transfer fee is reported to be around 3.5 million pounds!

Rostock being new to the bundesliga this season from Division 2 clearly have no chance against bayern munich with its star-studed line-up lol haha .:lol: It was clear this season bayern munich squad is so different from last season with half the players in the line up luca toni, klose, ribery, ze roberto, altintop, marcell jensen and sosa were the new sigining. Oh can't wait to see Podolski in the full squad again!!

Ribery, Toni, Klose and Altintop proving to be too difficult for the oponent teams. Even with klose and podolski not in the line-up the team should be fine. Really enjoyed watching frank ribery ... he's the best bayern transfer this season imo!! Next bayern game is againsts Hamburg Sept. 2nd. Expecting another victory for bayern altho Luca Toni looks doubtfull with injury!!

Yeah thats true...Altinto has done much better at bayern compared at schalke. He did really well pairing with Ribery!! I think it had much to do with the bayern's coach Hitzfeld. He brings out the best in everybody this season.

Well to be fair they did really bad last season so they don't deserved to be in the CL this year. They lost to lowly clubs so many times last season it was just terrible. They needed that lesson to make new strategy and thats why they brought in all these new exciting transfers ribery, altintop, toni, klose, jensen, ze roberto. It will not hapen without this new squad!!

It really exciting to see bayern games now... i tried not to miss their matches altho it's really hard actually to see those games in campus lol

They have scored 10 goals in 3 games and conceded none. All their goals are class, Kahn has almost had nothing to do. I bet if no real injuries happened, bayern could go undefeated this season

Its amazing really...all the other teams had no chance at all over bayern. Yeah haha kahn had his hands free during the game, he hasn't really been tested that much.

I truly enjoyed watching Ribery he's so good and very inspirational to the others in the team. He's always the one that passed the ball to Klose, Toni or Altintop to score. I'm just hoping Podolski can be in action soon, he was supposed to play in the last match but in the last minute he didn't!!

First draw for bayern this season but honestly Hamburg played really well throughout the match. Wasn't expecting that last minute equalizing goal from Mohamed Zidan but that guy was good... nothing on bayern's defence can prevented that goal. The only good thing about this match was seeing Podolski in action again.

I kept up with this game because for some reason, I'm naturally attracted to HSV. I was glad to see them get the draw too. I would love to see Hamburg get 2nd, because no one is going to challenge Bayern for the title.

Hamburg has always been an impressive team that can't be totally ignored! they played really well in this game. Bayern gave solid display but HSV were also very aggressive and disciplined. I would have love to see bayern won full 3 points tho but in the end it was too late to do anything because of Mohamed Zidan last minute equalizing goal. He was sub but just scored that goal!!

Next bayern game will be on Sept 15th. against Schalke 04. Hopefully luca toni will be fully recovered and in the bayern line-up again.

Hamburg seem to be a team with a lot of money and not many recent results. I half expected Hamburg to come out and play total defense and rarely counter attack. That's what I expect or all the teams out of Germany to do.

Not that i don't care completely but i would have preferred if bayern playing in the Champion League. But Bayern is not in the Champion League this season.They didn't qualify after being in 4th. in the bundesliga standing last season so they were eliminated. They will only be playing for the UEFA Cup and on paper they are the most likely to win it haha. Thats why i'm not that worried about the UEFA Cup...

The focus is now is to win the Bundesliga Title this season so Bayern can go back to being among the teams in the Champion League in 2008/09 season!

Well, lance bayern just got thru the German DFB Cup after beating Gladbach ysterday. Podolski played the whole game for the first time this season and crap i missed it.

Bayern next game againsts Wolfsburg will be in front of home crowd too in Munich but not so confident. Lucio one of bayern's best brazilian defender is out of the next four games due to suspension and most of the other players are pretty exhausted from their respective countries Euro qualifying matches. I'm just hoping they will pull thru and put more distance between them and the other two teams trailing close by Werder Bremen and Hamburg.

They are playing MSV Duisburg in Munich ( Allianz Arena ) so it shouldn't be any problem. Several players including altintop, sagnol, Schweinsteiger and Podolski looks doubtful with injury but i hope bayern can pull it together with 3 points win.

This is an important knockout match. Both Bayern and Aris has 5 points each after the qualifying rounds with only Botlton Wanderes leading the group at 6 points. They will be playing in Munich which should gives bayern an added advantage and hopefully they will pull thru or their UEFA Cup could end here. Toni Luca is set to play and Klose too.

There has been rumours about Bayern Munich forward Jan Schlaudraff leaving the club in the January transfer window but it has been confirmed he planned to stay longer even tho it has been a difficult time for him to break into the first team with Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose on fine form.

Willy Sagnol are also committed to bayern after the speculation on Man. Utd interest in him. He was disappointed not to return to the Bayern first team after a seven-month injury absence but Sagnol has now had a change of heart and will fight for his place in bayern team.

Supposedly but it's all friendly matches thus far and they won every single games. They have signed a new youngster from Brazil defender named Breno and have a free transfer Tim Borowski from Werder Bremen for the January transfer. They also have a new coach Jurgen Klinsmann (former German NT coach) as the new coach next season.

Everything looks positive so can't wait for the bundesliga to start in february...it's weird how they took such long winter break while most other leagues are still going on!

in mexico they split it in two tournaments 17 teams - 17 rounds + playoffs,......its really stupid cause there's 4 groups,......and the top two of each group qualify for quarter finals no matter what

That was just one mistake he made...he has done plenty of save previous to that game against Aberdeen. I've seen Kahn making much worse blunders. Thats why he isn't German NT first goalkeeper anymore!!

Hamit Altintop is such a great player. He always gives 100% to the pitch and always either assists, gives goals, or saves his team from conceding goals. I love that solo goal against Hannover when he ran from halfway and scored. Best long range shooter in the world. Such powerful shots.

Werder Bremen's miserable week continued with a 6-3 defeat at VfB Stuttgart, a scoreline which allowed FC Bayern München to increase their lead at the top of the Bundesliga to seven points.

Goals galore
Hugo Almeida's eighth-minute opener for Bremen, who lost 2-0 to Rangers FC in the UEFA Cup on Thursday, gave no indication of the drama to come but Mario Gómez's 12th and 13th goals of the season did give the hosts a half-time lead. Sebastian Boenisch (60) then equalised but two goals inside a minute from Gómez, to complete his hat-trick, and Cacau gave Stuttgart a cushion before Markus Rosenberg gave the visitors a lifeline. However, their hope was short-lived as Boenisch put through his own net (84) and Cacau grabbed his second (88) to complete the rout.

Bayern triumph
Luca Toni and Franck Ribéry, who were both on the scoresheet in the 5-0 UEFA Cup triumph at RSC Anderlecht on Thursday, struck for Bayern in either half at the Fußball Arena München against Karlsruher SC, who drop to sixth. Hamburger SV can reduce Bayern's lead to six points if they overcome 1. FC Nürnberg tomorrow. With fourth-placed Bayer 04 Leverkusen also in action tomorrow against Hannover 96, FC Schalke 04 drew level on points with Michael Skibbe's team courtesy of a 2-0 success at DSC Arminia Bielefeld. Wolfsburg rise
Eintracht Frankfurt drew 1-1 at home to VfL Bochum 1848 and were replaced in eighth by VfL Wolfsburg, who were 3-0 winners against struggling FC Energie Cottbus. Christian Gentner's 17th-minute opener was quickly added to by Marcelinho, before the latter scored again on 76 minutes. Elsewhere, MSV Duisburg picked up a valuable point in their bid to avoid relegation after a 1-1 draw with FC Hansa Rostock, while BV Borussia Dortmund played out a similar result in last night's encounter with Hertha BSC Berlin.

Well done Stuttgart, beating Werder Bremen 6-3 hahaha......... Bayern increases there lead to 7 points :)

Geez all i can say abt Kahn is sure he's a legend but it's time to move on and let the younger keeper "Rensing" to take over. Kahn sure is one of the best but there are time that his temper get the best of him. So i'm glad he will be retiring after this season :)

This week has been a good week for bayern.... 5:0 win over Anderlecht and 2:0 win over Karlsruher SC. Things are looking so much better than last season!!!

Yeah i can't imagine bayern losing this to Getafe either but after that embrassing defeats to Anderlecht i kinda worried lol !! Seriously we can't blame Rensing alone for that game because the whole team played kinda crappy that day. We created many chances but missed so hopefully it will not happen again!!

N-way they are meeting Energie Cottbus today for the Bundesliga which is at the bottom of the bundesliga table so i expect it will be an easy win for Bayern!! Go Bayern!!! :)

Hamburg got knocked out of uefa cup in a hard way, beating leverkusen in uefa cup play isnt all that easy man, bayern only beat leverkusen 2-1 in league play yesterday, but overall they were always a good team to watch, dey have one of the best center backs in the world which is Vincent Kompany, coaches around the world say this and even the best analysis's usually say this about him....
