Here's an interview with Ibra after the game;

Ibra: "Feeling better and better"
Tuesday, 24 July 2007 22:20:51

BOLZANO - Nerazzurri striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic spoke briefly on Inter Channel after his first outing of the pre-season against Partizan Belgrade. "We did well, particularly if we consider that they are further ahead in their preparations and have already played a UEFA Cup qualification match," said the Swedish striker, scorer of Inter's opening goal against the Serbians. "After my operation and all the pre-season training, I tried to play half an hour and I feel good. I feel a bit of pain now and then when I make quick movements, but I have to work hard to improve more and more."

Ibra commits to Inter

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced that he is ready to commit his long-term future to Inter. “I want to stay here for a long time.”

The Swede was the Nerazzurri’s top scorer in a record-breaking Serie A campaign with 15 goals, but his relationship with the club turned sour in May after he praised Luciano Moggi and Juventus.

However, those problems now seem to have been resolved and the Nerazzurro is ready for the new season at the San Siro, which he says will be followed by many more.

“The situation is very simple, Inter called my agent to extend my current contract, which expires in 2010,” Ibrahimovic explained to Il Corriere dello Sport.

“The negotiations are well under way. My future is with Inter and I couldn’t have made a better choice last year when I decided to come here,” added the former Juventino.

The international’s new deal is expected to run until at least 2012, with a significant wage increase on his current deal.

Ibra: "Zlatan means gold"
Thursday, 26 July 2007 15:37:36

MILAN - (Adnkronos) "Perhaps we have to win one thing at a time. Last year we won the Scudetto, this year we hope to win the Champions League," Zlatan Ibrahimovic told Italian television after scoring the winning goal in his pre-season debut against Partizan Belgrade.

"I have won wherever I have been, but it doesn't depend on me alone. I have played with great teams and great players. You don't win without the team," explained Ibra who revealed his first name Zlatan "means gold".

According to Ibrahimovic, his ex-team Juventus will be one of Inter's main title rivals next season. "We have to continue what we did a year ago, it won't be easy because there's pressure on us," he said. "Juve? I think they will focus on the Scudetto, but I still haven't seen their team."

Ibrahimovic partnered David Suazo in attack against Partizan, but he's not forgetting Adriano. "You can see right away that Suazo is a great player and it's easy to play with him, he has great pace. But Adriano is working very well and he will gradually get there too."

Zlatan Ibrahimovic Show +++++

Ibrahimovic had his magicbox with him yesterday and showed some sick moves. He was everywhere and played with the danish defenders, he did everything right yesterday apart from not scoring.

He was voted MOM at UEFA and was voted as the MOM here in Sweden with incredible 95% of the votes.

I've never seen him this good, he has began the Seria A season fantastic as well with Inter.

I will never forget that Ibrahimovic - Mihajlovic fight, that was some nasty s-h-i-t. I don't know what Ibra said though but Mihajlovic offended Ibra's family.

Yeh i know that, he has a tendence of being ignorant towards some reporters and i can't really judge him because i don't know his history with those reporters. I do know that some of those reporters have wrote false things about him and stuffs like that and if a reporter did that to me i would probably do the same as Ibrahimovic when i met them again. I've also seen when Ibra has opened up himself and been a humble man in interviews and that's mostly because he's confident in the reporter he talks with etc. etc.

Zlatans attitude:

Bad reporters = ignorant attitude

Good reporters = humble attitude

Can Ibra be as decisive in the Champions League as he was in the championship last season?

"There are few players in the world who are as good as him. In terms of his strength, agility, technique and shot there's no player in the world who's as complete as him at the moment. I hope he wins the Ballon d'Or, and I hope he wins more than one."

Ibrahimovic: "We just lacked a bit of luck"
Sunday, 23 September 2007 18:09:33

LIVORNO - Inter and Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his second brace of the season in Livorno after his double against Empoli in Serie A Week 2.

"We just lacked a bit of luck today," he said. "When we get it back we won't have any problems winning. Livorno played a great game and this result is like a win for them. It's not easy when you concede a goal in the first minute because you're forced to attack and score two to win.

"We did everything we could, I liked the team's performance and we have forgotten the Istanbul defeat now. We dropped two important points but there are still many games to go. We're taking it one match at a time. We all gave our all today but it was harder after we were reduced to ten men.

"Adriano's in form and the understanding with him is working."

Inter - Sampdoria 3-0

23' IBRACADABRA!!!!! Zlatan receives in a central position 30 yards out, makes a short run on goal and buries his fifth of the season past Mirante. Inter 1-0 Sampdoria.

49' Inter hit back and score through...., yes, you guessed who. Zlatan Ibrahimovic!!! And what a goal by the Swedish forward. He dances past three opponents with a dazzling piece of skill, creating space to drill home a left-footed shot from inside the area.

http://www.diariosdefutbol.com/images/2006/12/ibrahimovic-inter.jpg

Ibrahimovic is in cracking form, he scored twice against Livorno for some days ago and did the same tonight as well. He's just brilliant.

I said it for some weeks ago when he had an incredible show against Denmark that this will be his season when he will show all his doubters that he's a worldclass striker, probably the best at the moment if you ask me. He doesn't only score for his team he does everything, magic passes for his teammates, creating spaces and working hard.

Zlatan has scored 6 goals in 5 games and tops the scoring list together with David Trezeguet.

Ibrahimovic: "Feeling better and better"
Thursday, 27 September 2007 00:21:29

MILAN - After his doubles against Empoli and Livorno, Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his third brace of the season in Wednesday's 3-0 win over Sampdoria.

"I do everything I can to help my team win," said the Swedish striker, who came off to a standing ovation in the second half. "We played well today and deserved to win an important match, which gives us tranquillity.

"I'm very pleased about my two goals but I wouldn't be able to do so well without the help of my team-mates. I do my best to help the team and everything I do is thanks to the help of the team. We won on a difficult playing surface tonight. We played well and we're feeling better and better.

"There's still a long way to go in the championship but Saturday's match against Roma is very important for us. As always, we will try to win."

-------------------------------------------------------

Mancini on Ibrahimovic:

Ibrahimovic was the star of the show with his fifth and sixth goals of the season. "Zlatan is one of those who can decide when he wants to score because with his technique and physical strength, defenders can't stop him," Mancini said. "Can he win the Ballon d'Or? He'll win it one day, he still has time."

He's ***king GOD!!!!!!!!! :D

Inter coach Mancini on Ibra and CL

Why isn't Ibra as prolific in the Champions League as he is in the championship?

"I hope he scores tomorrow. The goal will come soon. When he joined Juventus he had to settle in and get to know Italian football, and then he improved in every aspect. The same goes for the Champions League, it's just a coincidence that he still hasn't scored in the cup. A psychological problem? I don't think Ibra has this kind of problem at all."

Ibrahimović gets Inter on track

Zlatan Ibrahimović-inspired FC Internazionale Milano proved too strong for PSV Eindhoven as the Italian champions claimed their first points in Group G thanks to two goals from the Swedish international.

Masterclass
Ibrahimović scored a 15th-minute penalty and a memorable header just after the half-hour. Then, following the dismissal of Cristian Chivu, the forward helped the Nerazzurri protect their advantage with a masterclass performance. It allowed Inter to forget the 1-0 loss at Fenerbahçe SK which had opened their UEFA Champions League campaign as they moved to within a point of the Turkish side.

Figo role
At the outset the hosts looked slightly tentative, mindful perhaps of their recent European disappointments. Luís Figo, though, took quickly to his central role in place of Olivier Dacourt, who had been doubtful with a groin strain. However, the first two moves he instigated faltered at the feet of Santiago Solari due to overelaboration. PSV settled first, in fact, and after Jefferson Farfán had evaded two tackles, the forward played Kenneth Perez in down the right – the latter promptly warmed Júlio César's hands with a fierce strike on 12 minutes.

Penalty award
The visitors' confidence was soon to be dented, however, as within a minute Ibrahimović, with his back to goal, fell under Jan Kromkamp's challenge. Kyros Vassaras awarded a penalty and Ibrahimović took the spot-kick himself, sending Heurelho Gomes the wrong way for his tenth UEFA Champions League goal and his first in Inter colours. Buoyed by their advantage, Roberto Mancini's men regained the familiar swagger of their Serie A displays, Solari sending a teasing cross to the far post in the 25th minute which Hernán Crespo missed by a whisker.

Second goal
The second goal was not long in coming, though, as Ibrahimović doubled his tally for the evening six minutes later. Figo, released down the right by Javier Zanetti, supplied a deep centre for Ibrahimović at the far post, and the No8 rose to send a looping header back across goal and over Gomes from the most improbable angle.

Dutch resistance
The Dutch champions' chief threat came from set-pieces and Eric Addo glanced Kromkamp's curling free-kick wide from five metres four minutes after the interval. Undeterred, PSV persisted and began to enjoy more possession. Farfán and Perez were passing the ball around well and Danko Lazović's one-two with substitute Danny Koevermans had to be thwarted by the alert César.

Sendings-off
Although Inter were reduced to ten men when Chivu was shown a second yellow card for a lunge on Jason Culina, Ibrahimović used his new midfield berth to showcase his passing skills. He played a delightful disguised pass to Dejan Stanković, who skied his shot from ten metres. Substitute David Suazo also caused problems with his pace, bringing a fine save out of Gomes after speeding away from his markers and then rifling just wide of the near post after turning Carlos Salcido with ease. However, the Honduran's night ended in disappointment as he was sent off after the final whistle following a tangle with Salcido.

Ibra: "Pleased with goals and points"
Wednesday, 03 October 2007 01:10:55

MILAN - Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice against PSV Eindhoven to put the Nerazzurri back on course in the Champions League.

"I'm happy about the three points and the goals. We have more confidence in ourselves now and we'll be even stronger when the disqualified and injured players return," he said.

Ibrahimovic's second against the Dutch side was a looping header from an seemingly impossible angle. "I wanted to put that ball where it went, but the team's victory is more important than my goals.

The Swedish striker defended David Suazo after the Honduran's last-minute dismissal. "I did this because my team-mates always defend me," he said. "This is how a team should behave.

"A present for my birthday? For the team to keep on doing this well."

Crespo salutes in-form Ibrahimović

FC Internazionale Milano had birthday boy Zlatan Ibrahimović to thank for turning on the style with a two-goal salvo that earned the Italian champions their first Group G points at the expense of PSV Eindhoven.

Critics silenced
Much had been made of the fact the Sweden forward had yet to open his UEFA Champions League account with the Nerazzurri but the in-form striker, who is joint leading Serie A goalscorer with seven goals, silenced the critics with a first-half penalty and header that clinched a vital 2-0 win. They were his first goals in the competition since December 2005, having failed to find the target in his previous 12 UEFA Champions League matches. Inter captain Javier Zanetti had said Ibrahimović just needed to relaxed for the goals to come, and the striker celebrated his 26th birthday a day early in the best possible way, taking just 15 minutes to break the deadlock in Milan.

'Delighted'
"We knew that it was only a matter of time before he scored in Europe for us," said Zanetti. "Tonight his goals won the match for us and I'm delighted for him." Ibrahimović was the player offended against for the early spot-kick award and the former AFC Ajax and Juventus striker converted confidently before doubling his side's lead with just over half an hour gone through an angled, looping header. Indeed, strike partner Hernán Crespo revealed the second goal was in fact slightly fortuitous.

'Golden period'
"I don't want to appear indiscreet but he told me that he was trying to head the ball back to me but instead it went in," explained Crespo. "But he's enjoying a golden period. At the moment he can do no wrong – whatever he does, he does well. He's even scoring by accident, so all the better for him, and us. It was an excellent goal, he's in form and we're delighted with him.

'Good position'
"Last year we were able to recover from two defeats because Bayern were racing ahead in the group," continued the Argentinian. "But this year it's a lot tighter so it was important to get a win to steady the ship and now we're in a good position in the Champions League group." Inter have moved into second place in Group G, a point behind Fenerbahçe SK, who shared a 2-2 draw with Inter's next opponents PFC CSKA Moskva.

'Best side'
Ibrahimović, who now has nine goals in all competitions this season, might have even scored again but for the second-half dismissal of Cristian Chivu, which resulted in his being deployed in a deeper role, but versatility is the secret to this Inter vintage, according to Crespo. "Inter are the best because we have the best squad," he added. "We can rest players or replace those that are injured or suspended with good players. The side is in rude health - we're top of the league and well-placed in the Champions League."

Vic

Ibracadabra!

"I fully understand Zlatan Ibrahimović because I was just like him when I was 24 or 25. I used to play for the fans and for myself without caring so much whether I was scoring or not. He has an incredible margin for improvement. Technically speaking he is an extraordinary player but he just needs to be more productive." Only a few months have passed since FC Internazionale Milano coach Roberto Mancini described his Swedish striker in those terms, yet it now seems hard to equate that 'Zlatan' with the leader and goalscorer presently shining for the Nerazzurri.

Silenced critics
Ibrahimović has taken Serie A by storm this season, scoring seven times in six games – half of Inter’s entire goal output. In addition, he has silenced those critics who said he was unable to reproduce his best form in the UEFA Champions League by scoring both goals in the 2-0 win over PSV Eindhoven this week. Coming on the eve of his 26th birthday, it was the perfect time for Ibrahimović to end his 19-month goal drought on the European stage – and also served to underline his importance to an Inter side whose other forwards, a collection that includes internationals of the quality of Hernán Crespo, Adriano, Julio Cruz and David Suazo, have managed only three goals between them so far.

Consistency
Long noted for his capacity for the spectacular, Ibrahimović's consistency is the story of his season so far: in addition to the eye-catching goals, he is scoring the easy ones and impressing with his hard work for the team. This marks a notable step in the career of this much-talked about son of a Bosnian father and Croatian mother, who grew up in Rosengard, a Malmo neighbourhood known for its immigrant communities. There he began honing the skills and tricks which would become his trademark, prior to signing for Malmo, his first professional club. A major influence on his technique has been his passion for the martial art taekwando – hence his impressively acrobatic volleying ability.

'A golden period'
His team-mates seem to appreciate the new, improved Ibrahimović. Despite the tough competition for places in the Inter attack, his Honduran team-mate Suazo did not hesitate to praise the Nerazzurri No8 following the victory over PSV on Tuesday. "Ibrahimović is playing very well, we are all just trying to find some space to play alongside him," said Suazo, who added that "having many options up front is just a good thing for Inter". Argentina striker Crespo, who partnered Ibrahimović that night, was even more fulsome in his praise, saying: "He's enjoying a golden period, he's in form and we are delighted with him."

Ballon d'Or prediction
Despite all the kind words from colleagues, Ibrahimović spoke in modest terms about his contribution. "I'm happy about the three points and the goals," he said after Inter’s first win in Group G. "But the team's victory is more important than my goals. My team-mates always defend me when I'm in trouble and I want to do the same with them. This is how a team should act." When asked about his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or – as Mancini predicted for him last month – the birthday boy replied: "I just want Inter to keep doing this well, that's the present I want."

Commitment
It must be music to the ears of the Nerazzurri fans who have a habit of developing a special rapport with their strikers. It was like that with 'Il fenomeno' Ronaldo a few years ago and with 'L'imperatore' Adriano more recently. Now is the turn of 'Ibracadabra', whose every touch has the Inter faithful holding their breath in anticipation. Yet while they enjoy his moments of genius, it is his newfound commitment that has attracted particular approval this term.

Mancini advice
Coach Mancini deserves most of the credit for this transformation. As a player, the 42-year-old had the same kind of 'rebel' talent and Mancini has used his own experience to advise Ibrahimović on where he was going wrong. He is obviously happy with the results. "A player with such technique and physical power can do whatever he feels like doing. If he continues to improve day by day he really will be able to score whenever he wants to. Not just one goal but two or three," the Inter coach said recently of the former AFC Ajax and Juventus player. "Zlatan Ibrahimović is one of the best players in the world. He is up there with Ronaldinho and [Thierry] Henry – the sort of player that can decide a match in an instant." What a difference a few months can make.

A major influence on his technique has been his passion for the martial art taekwando – hence his impressively acrobatic volleying ability.

Miscellanea/Trivia

Joga TV, a series of TV advertisement for Nike leading up to 2006 FIFA World Cup, frequently features Ibrahimović. One episode centered on Ibrahimović's (proven) ability to spit a piece of gum out of his mouth, juggle it between his feet, and then kick it back into his mouth.
Ibrahimović has two tattoos on each of his forearms, nicknamed the Ibrahimović code. They are a series of numbers which are birth dates of his family.
During the World Cup in 2006, one of the most popular songs in Sweden was "Who's Da Man" - a song about Zlatan that was written and performed by a group from Ystad called Elias. It featured a seven-year-old boy on vocals, Frans, who considers Ibrahimović as his hero.
In a poll on Zlatan.net during 2003, 61 per cent (4,221 votes) voted for Ibrahimović to wear the name "Zlatan" on the back of his shirt. 29 per cent (2,014 votes) voted for "Ibrahimović", while 9 per cent (617 votes) had no opinion.
Ibrahimović shares a birthday (October 3, 1981) with fellow Swedish footballer Andreas Isaksson.
He is trained in tae kwon do.
Ibrahimović was the fourth Swede to put on the Ajax shirt, joining Inge Danielsson, Peter Larsson, and Stefan Pettersson.
84% of the population of Rosengård, the part of Malmö where Ibrahimović grew up, have a background from Somalia, Bosnia and countries other than Sweden.
Vägen tillbaka - Blådårar 2 is a movie (partly) about Ibrahimović and his time back in Allsvenskan, the Swedish first division, for Malmö FF after they where relegated from Allsvenskan in 1999 for the first time in 64 years. It also includes a song about Zlatan.
In April 2002, a new book about training soccer skills was published in Sweden, where readers can learn some of Ibrahimović's special tricks.
Ibrahimović signed for Malmö FF at the age of 13.
Zlatan is a Bosnian name which means "golden".
Ibrahimović is one of few players who regularly perform the "elastico" or "Flip-Flap" trick invented by Rivelino and made famous by players such as Ronaldinho and Julio Cesar UribeZlatan and girlfriend Helena Seger have a son, Maximilian, born on September 22, 2006.

Chivu: Ibra Is A Beast

Inter star Christian Chivu has heaped praise on Zlatan Ibrahimovic and believes the Swede is almost impossible to defend against.

Chivu signed for Inter in the summer after a farcical transfer soap opera including former club Roma. The Romanian has been re-united with his ex-Ajax team-mate Ibrahimovic and is in no doubt as to the quality of the striker.

“He's one of the greatest strikers in the world,” said Chivu. “In every game he shows he's number one and I'm pleased to be on his side, especially at this moment.

“I'm happy to see him relaxed and with the desire to work every day to become one of the best players of all.

“Ibra is decisive for Inter at the moment, but he's also important for Italian football because it's always nice to have a great champion playing in your country and in your championship.

“Physically a defender can never put himself on the same level as Ibra because he's a beast.

“He can win the Golden Ball because he has won the championship in Italy and he's proving decisive at the moment.

“But other players are favourites either because they won the Champions League or for other reasons. Ibra has started well, he will have a great season and he can win it next year if he doesn't win it this time."

Rosengårds own Hero is back where it once started

http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/6571/3447786819tx7.jpg

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is back where the fairytale once started, he's home again and he had a ceremony tonight in his childhood Rosengård, Malmö. He grew up in Rosengård and used to play all days long on a gravel pitch but he had to go home when it began to be dark. "This is where i played 95% of my time when I was a kid but i had to go home when it was night cause i couldn't see the ball, there was no light".

He has now together with his shoesponsor built a 5-a-side rubber court with lights around the whole court. "I wanted to do this for Rosegård, I'm happy for the kids which can play all night long now, hopefully with this court there will be a new Zlatan, a better one"

The joyfull play with the ball has taken Zlatan from Malmö to Milano. From Ghettoboy to a Supercelebrity.
"But Rosengård is stamped on an incorrect way. Sure there's lot of foreigners, but it's a nice and calm place. It's defiently not a dangerous place- Ofcourse there's crime in Rosengård but it's crime everywhere in Sweden as well."

Says Ibrahimovic before he steps on the new court where he has his footsteps infused in the entrace of the court. There's also a script in the entrace which says "Here's my heart, Here's my history, Here's my game, Bring the spirit forward: Zlatan"

You can easily see how proud Zlatan is about his history in Rosengård "My parents never pushed me or forced me into playing football, it's all about having fun when you play. If you have fun you're already 1-0 up."

Thousands of people were there to witness the ceremony and Zlatan was given a hero's reception.

Ibrahimović karijeru želi okončati u Malmo-u

Napadač Intera i švedske reprezentacije rekao je da svoju karijeru želi okončati u klubu iz svog rodnog grada Malmoa.

Nakon početnih nogometnih koraka napravljenih u FK Balkan Zlatan Ibrahimović svoju profesionalnu karijeru 1999. godine započinje u Malmou odakle prelazi u Ajax.

To nije nešto o čemu stalno razmišljam. Naravno u slučaju da osvojim tu prestižnu nagradu bio bi to najveći uspjeh moje karijere.

------------------------------------------------------------------

this article is saying basically that Zlatan Ibrahimovic wishes to end his career with Malmo were it all started. He is saying that his heart is pulling him there where he was raised as a kid and as a footballer

He gave his first long interview in Sweden for over three years. He gave a very outspoken, intelligent, funny and harmonic impression. He spoke on a lot of differrent topics including the Moggi pictures, his relationship with Swedish media, his form, family, Inter etc.

It was a great interview.

Here's the best parts from the Interview.

First he was asked what he had been doing on his day off. He said he was fishing with some buddies, and as usual he got the biggest fish. Then he said he was just joking and that he caught a fish and it was enough, he added that he enjoyes it because it relaxes him.

He was asked how much the headlights for the court set him back, and he answered he wouldn't be able to eat for a month. Adding that it doesn't matter how much it cost because he did it from his heart, so it was worth it.

They showed a clip of him staring at Ronaldo during the Milano derby Zlatan Staring at Ronaldo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrebiAuO8o0)
. He was asked what he was thinking. He said that Ronaldo was his favourite player when growing up, and still to this day is his favourite player. He said that it was a special feeling standing on the same pitch as him, adding that it was just too bad that Ronaldo didn't play for Inter anymore. He also said he sees him every day because they are neighbours. The reporter asked if they are having coffee together. Ibra answered that they were on different timetables, so the reporter then added that maybe Ibra should take him fishing sometime. Ibra said yeah,*laugh* we gotta do that sometime.

He mentioned that he together with Nike were working on opening a Zlatan football school, hoping to make it the biggest in Sweden. He said it was going to happen just not sure when.

On the subject of fatherhood he said that being a father changes everything. You don't have the freedom you used too, but at the same time it puts things into perspective. For example now when he has a bad match he can just go home and play with his son and he forgets all about it, so it makes him play football with more tranquility and it doesn't make him stress as much as he used to.

When asked about his personal goal of becoming the best player in the World, he said that it was nothing he thought about anymore. The only thing imortant is that he and his team mates win. If he ever becomes the best in the World it should just happen naturally from development, so it was nothing he thinks about. The reporter then said, "yes but it was a personal goal of yours was it not?" So how many are there in front of you now? You the best in the World, are you not? Ibra said*flattered* that there are many better then him. Like Messi, Kaka, C Ronaldo. He said that he feels he plays at a high level but it's not for him to judge just how high.

He was also asked about the Moggi pictures and the reactions of the Inter fans to the whole story. He said that he understood that the fans got angry, because media blew it all out of proportion and capitalized on the story. He added that he respects Moggi and Moggi respects him, and that if Moggi or anyone else wanted to take a picture with him he wouldn't say no. He added in the extra long interview found on the net, which was cut from televison(also some other things i report here), that what's between Moggi and Inter is between them, and he doesn't get involved because it's none of his business. Then he said he understand that Inter got disappointed and pissed, but he's said he is still with them and he's signed almost a lifetme contract with Inter, and that he belongs to Inter. He ended with saying that the picture he took has got nothing to do with Inter.

He was asked how he felt about the two titles that got taken from him. He said that he felt he had won those two titles, adding that he now feels he has four titles in Italy, 3 Leagues, and one Supercu..The reporter said, but it was cheating. Zlatan said that according to the players it was not, because they went out and fought every match, trained hard every day, and went on to the pitch and risked their legs to win those titles so he feels he won them. He added and when it comes to judges, people saying that they were bought, he said that atleast he never felt that he got an unfair advantage because judges aren't and has never*laughing* been his best friends on the pitch. Adding "and that's the way it should be."

He also said that he considered ending his career in Sweden. He said you never know what's going to happen five years from now, but if he did decide to come back to Sweden the only club for him would be Malmö FF.

That's about it.. :)

Press conference with Zlatan Ibrahimovic

http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00244/niman15_244750g.jpg

Your thoughts on the Liechstenstein game?

- We went to Liechtenstein to win. It wasn't the best opponent but you should never underestimate a team like that. They defended with their whole team. We did it well and won the game, scored 3 goals and now we have a big chance to qualify with a win on Wednesday. I think we'll do that.

Everyone expects that you'll beat Northern Ireland, How big is the pressure?

- We've pressure on us every game. It will be exciting on Wednesday. We've lot's of respect for Northern Ireland but we're going for the win.

Looking for revenge?

- Yes, we're definitely out for revenge.

How is your status now compared to when you played in Belfast?

- I'm 100% better now. I had problems with my groins then but I'm 100% fit now. I feel a lot more better physicaly and the form is better as well.

What went wrong in Belfast?

- Everything. I tried but came nowhere. Sometimes you have games like that but it's a new game now.

Does the memories from Belfast hurt?

- Absolutely not. We want revenge and hopefully we'll get that and secure the tickets to EURO 08 in Austria/Switzerland.

How should we score on them?

- I think that they'll defend but we just have to keep pushing. A early goal will open up the game. It's not an easy game, they have to win and we have to win. It will be exciting.

Zlatan, Your reaction on the FIFA Player Award list?

- I haven't thought about it. They make the decisions and it only means that I have to work harder.

You miss any names on the list?

- There's alot of great players that are playing on a high level. A player like David Villa wasn't on the list, Totti isn't there either and he scored most goal in whole Europe. It's not much to do. Those who didn't made the list aren't sorry for that.

Is there any awards like that you would like to win?

- I want to win every award but it's not always you get it. As long as my team wins, i'm satisfied. That list is just a bonus but ofcourse a award like that wouldn't be wrong to win.

You look alert on the practises, was it hard to not play against Liechtenstein?

- Ofcourse I want to play every game but at the same time it was good that i could rest a little bit since I have been playing alot with Inter. I've just been taking it easy in 3 days now and I look forward to the game on Wednesday. I look forward to play.

Goaldrought, Will you score?

-Yes, Hopefully.

What's your thoughts about the goals against Liechtenstein?

- It was great goals. Ljungberg made a nice run behind their defenders and scored. Wilhelmsson's was a Solo goal and Svensson scored on a nice shot. All three goals were great goals.

What did you do when you were home?

- I was together with my family and took it easy. I'm doing alot with the new house in Malmö at the moment.

Sweden rarely lose at Råsunda - Why?

- We are a great team. It's not many games we've lost. If you look at the FIFA ranking and look in what position we're at now, It's completly wrong. We should be ranked higher. We have played great in the Qualifying matches.

Is it cool to play at Råsunda?

- Absolutely. It gives you extra motivation when the fans support us. It's always fun to play infront of many peoples.

In what position would you rank Sweden in the World?

- Top 10. We've qualified to all the big tourneys but haven't somehow managed to go as far as we've wanted. In last Euro we got knocked out on penalties against Holland, It's not much to do. It's small margins but sometimes your lucky and sometimes your not.

That's bullshit dude. He wasn't good yesterday but who in the Swedish team was that yesterday??

Zlatan was excellent and totally outstanding against Denmark, it's just a matter of time until he begins scoring regularly in the NT as well. I have no doubts about him. None.

Everytime we play bad there's always the same people that want Zlatan off the starting 11. Those people don't know a shit about football in my world. And why Zlatan again Viking? Elmander was even worse yesterday but he's still VIP right?

That's bullshit dude. He wasn't good yesterday but who in the Swedish team was that yesterday??

Zlatan was excellent and totally outstanding against Denmark, it's just a matter of time until he begins scoring regularly in the NT as well. I have no doubts about him. None.

Everytime we play bad there's always the same people that want Zlatan off the starting 11. Those people don't know a shit about football in my world. And why Zlatan again Viking? Elmander was even worse yesterday but he's still VIP right?

:tsk:

Ok let's see Sweden is No.1 in the group, Zlatan hasn't scored, and you say it's bullshit ?.

IT DOES NOT MATTER who was good or bad in that match, Zlatan & co ALL gets a free pass. The problem is that Zlatan hasn't scored for 13 matches or so. For example, do you think French people would hail Henry if he hadn't scored for 13 games, get real mate!, seriously. I would gladly like to be included in your list of people that don't know shit about football. You don't seem to have a clue really, sorry but it's true.

Elmander is VIP compared to Zlatan ?, well if you wanna talk about performance and not name, ABSOLUTELY Elmander is still VIP. Right now, I would say Zlatan is Top 5 among the best strikers in the world, but if time and time again, that striker doesn't score, he has to be put on the bench in favour of a striker that actually scores.

I was very surprised to see this post from you. I suppose you think Zlatan comes first, the national team comes second.

You just proved my point. You don't know your football very well. I would be afraid if you were the manager for Sweden's NT. That would be terrible.

First of all Zlatan has only played 4 games in this Euro Qualifying campaign(Latvia, Denmark, NIx2) He was injuried against Latvia and NI (wasn't 100%, he shouldn't have started those games). With that said he has only played 2 games in this competition 100% fit and he was totally outstanding against Denmark, I have never (!) seen a more outstanding performance in the NT by one single player during my lifetime. He desereved to score a couple of goals in that game. Why didn't he? Ask god Viking! You know what small margins is? Coincidences?

He was poor in WC. Yes. He was injuried Yes.

Soo in your book if Zlatan did score a couple of goals against Denmark he would be ***king god in your eyes?

I don't put Zlatan ahead of the team. That's not what this is all about. He's our best player by far. I haven't always been a fan of his but you can see how hard he's working on the pitch nowdays in the NT. He deserves better but somehow the same critics keep raising the questions about his potential in the NT. It's just sad. Zlatan gets too much BS from Swedish Media.

You were surprised by my post? Lets put it this way, I wasn't surprised at all hearing that from you!

Please don't try to become a manager of the Swedish NT. I want to win championships and I know it's not possible to do that without Ibra. I know it's hard to win it with Ibra in the team as well but hey there's always a chance when you have a player like him in the team, he's unique!

Ibra relishing Juve return

Inter star Zlatan Ibrahimovic insists he can’t wait to face former club Juventus when the two sides clash in the Derby d’Italia on Sunday.

The super Swede hasn’t come up against the Old Lady since he left the outfit in the summer of 2006 following their demotion.

Although the former Ajax sensation is expected to receive a frosty reception from the Stadio Olimpico faithful, he has no concerns ahead of the game.

“I’m excited by the prospect of playing against Juventus,” noted the Swedish international. “I love these types of big games.

“The reaction of the fans? If they whistle me then that will make me happy.”

Given the fact that Ibrahimovic quit Juventus for a rival club, it’s unsurprising that he’s been labelled as a traitor by large sections of the Bianconeri support.

“That’s the way things are in football,” explained the scorer of seven Serie A goals so far this season.

“When you are at a club everyone is happy and they love you, then when you leave everyone is unhappy.”

Ibrahimovic was rested in the midweek 4-1 win over Genoa as a precautionary measure seeing as he is one yellow card away from suspension.

Inter Winning Thanks To Ibrahimovic, Says Moggi

http://www.cinghialidoro.com/foto/moggi.jpg

The former Juventus General Director spoke ahead of tomorrow's clash between Juventus and Inter during a television program on LA7.
Inter Winning Thanks To Ibrahimovic, Says Moggi

Luciano Moggi explained how he felt over a year ago when the whole Calciopoli scandal erupted and he ended up as the centre of attention.

"I felt like a derailed train and I used to talk to myself," admitted Moggi at 'Le Invasioni Barbariche'. "From the triumphs and an important activity, I hit rock bottom.

"I was afraid to leave house because I didn't know how the fans would take it," he continued.

"Then I reacted, even with spite, in an abrupt way, even though I had thought of killing myself, but in front of the family that I had to protect, I reacted."

The focus then went to tomorrow's game between eternal enemies Juventus and Inter, and the winless past of the Nerazzurri.

"Inter were not winning, but it was enough for them to buy Ibrahimovic, who alone makes the entire team and now they win," he opined.

"I had Ibrahimovic and if I was still there I wouldn't have sold him to Inter."

On the one million dollar question of who will win the match, Moggi still showed his Bianconeri heart.

"I hope Juventus wins, but objectively Inter are stronger."

All eyes will be on Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has publicly stated he’ll welcome jeers from the Turin crowd, as it will give him extra motivation to defeat his former fans.

“I like him, he is a nice fellow. Above all else, he is one of the few strikers who celebrates the same whether he scores or sets up a teammate,” added Lippi.

“It’s not easy to find players like that and I feel like comparing him to Zinedine Zidane.”

Ibra: "An important victory"

MILAN - Zlatan Ibrahimovic his fifth brace of the season in Inter's breathtaking victory over CSKA Moscow.

"It went well today but we could have made a better start," said the Swedish striker. "There are two ways of explaining today's game: either we played badly, or they played well and us better. I think the second one is closer to the truth.

"They went 2-0 up and created problems for us, but it was important to draw level before the end of the first half.

"It was fundamental to win because it gives us tranquillity. We have a lot of injuries and we're playing every three days. The legs are a bit heavy but you don't feel the tiredness after wins like these.

"I'm trying to score and help my team-mates score. I scored twice today and it went very well.

"Adriano? I'm trying to help him every day. He's working hard to improve, but it's up to the coach to decide and we respect his decisions."

Ibrahimovic: "Van Basten goals were better"

Inter star Zlatan Ibrahimovic talked about his performance against CSKA Moscow, during which he scored two goals in a 4-2 comeback win.

After his brilliant performance at San Siro in the 4-2 win over CSKA Moscow in the Champions League, in which he scored a brace, Inter star Zlatan Ibrahimovic answered questions to journalists from Sky TV.

Asked about his return to goalscoring ways after more than a month, he said: "We play many games, we're a little tired, this month my legs have been a bit heavy, but today I played well. Only at the start we didn't play very well, after that our quality showed.

"My goal similar to Marco Van Basten's? No, he scored better goals than that, and more than me as well."

On his role in the team, he continued: "I like to have responsibilities, I do everything to win, even when I don't score, someone else will. It was important to score in the first half, because in the second half it's normal to get more tired."

His final comments were on the Golden Ball: "I don't think about that, the important thing is that Inter win. Anyway, Kaká deserves it this year after the Champions League victory."

CSKA strike makes Ibrahimović 'top five'

Zlatan Ibrahimović was a relieved man after helping FC Internazionale Milano turn a 2-0 deficit into an exhilarating 4-2 victory against PFC CSKA Moskva, even finding a place in his personal "top five" for his spectacular second goal of the night.

Inauspicious start
Things were looking gloomy for Inter when Vágner Love fired his side into a two-goal lead just beyond the half-hour mark after Jô, as in Moscow a fortnight ago, had scored a wonderful opening goal. Inter retaliated quickly, though, as Ibrahimović gave the hosts a lifeline from close range. Esteban Cambiasso then scored twice either side of half-time to edge the Nerazzurri ahead, before Inter's No8 let fly from distance with a spectacular strike.

Crucial response
"We got off to a terrible start and it wasn't until we went 2-0 down that we finally woke up," said Ibrahimović. "Luckily, we managed to respond immediately and get back on level terms before half-time, which was crucial. Had we gone in at the break two goals down it would have been a very difficult second half. In the second half we played really well. The win was important and it makes us feel a lot calmer about qualifying."

'Belief'
Inter's third successive win keeps them top of Group G, a point ahead of Fenerbahçe SK and five clear of third-placed PSV Eindhoven with two matches remaining, but Ibrahimović was at pains to point out that it was no easy victory, saying: "We have a lot of injured players and have been playing loads of matches so the legs were feeling quite heavy. You could see that the team was tired but the most important thing was the win. It gives us hope for the future because winning gives you belief that you can push on."

'Top five'
CSKA must have still harboured hopes of restoring parity until the Swedish international lit up San Siro with a swerving right-footed screamer into the top right corner which left Igor Akinfeev helpless. Ibrahimović's 13th UEFA Champions League goal was a fitting way to conclude a dramatic contest. "Julio Cruz tried to play a one-two with me and I decided to hold on to the ball," explained the 26-year-old. "The defender followed the movement of the one-two expecting me to pass but I moved right instead and shot. Luckily it went in and it was a nice goal. I've scored some good goals in my career but that one is definitely in my top five."

Mihajlovic: "Ibra? Impossible to mark"

http://svt.se/content/1/c6/37/63/38/zlatan_straff_prb_411.jpg
Ibrahimovic vs Mihajlovic

MILAN - During a long interview with Sky Italia for the 'Inter 100 e lode' series dedicated to the club's centenary season, Sinisa Mihajlovic spoke about articles in the Italian media comparing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Marco van Basten.

"Yes, a comparison is possible and I say this because I have had the pleasure of playing against both of them," said Inter's assistant coach. "Van Basten was a bit better than Ibrahimovic but that's only because Zlatan is a lot younger than him.

"Ibra can still improve a lot and he has to show more continuity because like all the great players there are often many pauses in his game. Maybe you don't see him for 10-15 minutes, but then he wakes up and he's always capable of scoring. This is the only thing he has to improve because technically and physically there'll be no one like him in a couple of years time.

"He's impossible to mark and he knows how to do everything. He's also a bit crazy, and I mean this in a positive sense. He can become the best of them all, and I hope he can be the best for many years.

"If he does, I think he will definitely win the Ballon d'Or, and probably more than one."

Ibrahimović takes top Swedish award

http://img66.imageshack.us/img66/3842/party454932ahh6.jpg

Internazionale Milano striker Zlatan Ibrahimović has been named Sweden's player of the year for 2007.

Excellent form
The 26-year-old, who also won the award in 2005, has been in exceptional form for the Italian champions this season, scoring seven times in Serie A already to add to the 15 he struck to help the Nerazzurri clinch the Scudetto last term. He is also the joint-leading scorer in the UEFA Champions League with Manchester United FC's Cristiano Ronaldo, having scored four times in as many games to propel Inter to the top of Group G.

International return
Ibrahimović ended his self-imposed exile from the Sweden squad in March and has played an important role during the latter stages of his country's UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifying campaign. Sweden go into their final qualifiers away to Spain and at home to Latvia next week top of Group F and needing just a point to make sure of their place in Austria and Switzerland.

'For the kids'
"This award is first and foremost for all the kids out there," Ibrahimović said as he collected the Guldbollen. "If it wasn't for you I wouldn't play this well." Ibrahimović was also named Swedish forward of the year. The other individual prizes went to Fredrikstad FK's Rami Shaaban (best goalkeeper), Stade Rennais FC's Petter Hansson (best defender) and Galatasaray AS's Tobias Linderoth (best midfielder).

Sjögran on top
IFK Göteborg pair Jonas Olsson and Stefan Rehn were rewarded for their side's Allsvenskan triumph with the best coach award, while Gefle IF forward Johan Oremo was named rookie of the year. Therese Sjögran of Malmö DFF won the Diamantbollen for the best Swedish female footballer of the year.

the swedish players just cant read ibrahimovic's moves and swedish players play scandinavian style, nothing compared to how ibrahimovic plays. the scandinavians play an unusual defensive style and there is hardly any crosses or passes that can be a goal situation.

Get real man.

This is what you said.

Zlatan has been sensational in Inter but an extreme disappointment in the NT. I think it's soon time to start raise questions about Zlatan again.

Raise questions about Zlatan in the NT right? You think it's Zlatan's fault that he haven't scored for a while in the NT? Right? Man just look at todays game against Spain. What could he do? He's not an alien, he needs some support and it's the TEAM together that creates chances. Not one single player.

Now try to understand that.

So Zlatan isn't the one who's responsible for putting balls in the net ????. That sentence alone is enough to kill a debate. Today's match is a non-sense example. I expected Sweden to lose.

OF COURSE a team creates the chances. What I can gather from your posts so far is that Zlatan is awesome and if he only had some backing. Well if the Swedish forwards have no backing then how can Sweden have been in top of group throughout the EC QF (only tonight did Spain pass Sweden). Sorry but it's a bunch of bullshit. Sweden will probably qualify with Zlatan making 0 goals. Jesus, get a bit of perspective will you. When the EC 08 comes, I will be there cheering and hoping on Zlatan to lead the way. Now let's say Elmander hadn't scored for 14 games, he wouldn't be in the starting 11.

the swedish players just cant read ibrahimovic's moves and swedish players play scandinavian style, nothing compared to how ibrahimovic plays. the scandinavians play an unusual defensive style and there is hardly any crosses or passes that can be a goal situation.

Zlatan is born and bred in the Swedish football school so that argument is just imaginitative. Sweden plays an unusual defensive style ?. Yeah, when time-traveling back 20 years or so. Did you watch the WC 02 ?, how defensive was that play whe Sweden finished 1st in the group of death.

So Zlatan isn't the one who's responsible for putting balls in the net ????. That sentence alone is enough to kill a debate. Today's match is a non-sense example. I expected Sweden to lose..

You still don't get it now do you? It's sad it really is. Have you even read my earlier posts?

Zlatan was amazing against Denmark at home and did everything exept goals. Why didn't he score? Hell only god knows, it's small margins in sports and I thought you knew that. Sometimes you score on everything sometimes it's impossible to score.

So if Zlatan would've smashed in 2 against Denmark he would've been "The King" in your eyes? :)

It's just sad Viking, It really is. You walk where the wind blows.

I didn't say that Sweden never got any backup, Dude seriously you should read my posts before you write down some accusations towards me. It's a bit annoying to be honest.

I said that Sweden had no support from the midfielders against Spain, so what could he do? No balls to work with, what is he suppose to do? Run around the whole field and take the ball from Isaksson and dribble pass 10 Spanish players?

Against the smaller nations we have good support from the midfielders, Look and read this now very carefully Viking.

Now has Zlatan played against any small nations during this Euro Q exept Latvia away? Where he can bang in 3 goals in a game or so? Nope sorry Viking he hasen't, he has only played against (NIx2, Denmark, Latvia, Spain).

If he would've played against Liechtensteinx2, Icelandx2 he would've banged in a few I'm pretty sure about that.

He needs support Viking. :)

Will Ibra's NT goal drought end with special designed shoes made by a 13 year old?

http://img61.imageshack.us/img61/4663/43fe9496a723457ea279868av3.jpg

Ibra will play with special designed shoes on Wednesday. Ibra organized a competion among Swedish fans that he would play with the nicest shoes in his opinion. A 13 year old won the competition and Ibra will play with them against Latvia. The shoe has Sweden's colors on them. Blue and Yellow. The Nike signs are blue and the heals are yellow. On the sides his name Zlatan.

Now will Ibra finally end his goal drought in the NT against Latvia with new shoes?

I sure hope he does. He deserves it.

Well to finish this off. I dislike Zlatan fanboys just as much as I dislike Zlatan haters. Your fanboy ways and your attempts to rationailze that a forward hasn't scored for 2 years are idiotic.

I won't make another post in this thread so please bring out the big guns if you wish.

Has anyone else been given a chance? i mean if wat Viking says its true about him not scoring in 2 years someone else should be given a chance to show himself.

But u also have to look if hes doing anything else like making assists or some off the ball stuff to get other people in scoring positions as well.

It's true that he hasen't scored in the NT in 2 years but he hasen't played so many games cause of different things(Injuried, Boycott NT etc..) and if you read my posts Fener, you will see what I'm talking about. I've explained why he hasen't scored.

1. He needs support from the midfielders and defenders against the better teams. It's not Zlatan's fault that we can't create any chances. It's a teamwork. Zlatan is our biggest superstar and that's a reason why many people like too blame everything on him, even if his partner upfront Elmander are even worse in a game.

2. It's coincidences that he hasen't scored. I don't know why the ball didn't go in against Denmark at home. Sometimes it doesn't even matter how hard you try, the ball won't just go in.

But u also have to look if hes doing anything else like making assists or some off the ball stuff to get other people in scoring positions as well.

Exactly

He was outstanding against Denmark and Latvia, I haven't seen a more outstanding performance during my whole lifetime in the Swedish NT as the performance by Zlatan against Denmark at home.

Latvia, MOM. Sick passes, (just sick!) strenght, teqnique, pace, hard work.

---

I just don't understand why people want Zlatan off the starting 11. I think it's nuts to be honest.

Ibra: "Pleased with goal and qualification"

MILAN - Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his fifth Champions League goal in as many games in Tuesday's win over Fenerbahçe.

He said: "It was important to win and qualify for the round of sixteen as winners of our group. I'm pleased about this, my goal and the team's performance.

"My booking? I'm not sorry about it, I was already on a warning and now I will miss the last group match, which isn't important in terms of qualification.

"I'm doing well but I wouldn't be able to do this well without the help of my team-mates. We're a great group and we want to improve more.

"Now we have to think about the championship and try to win all our games so no other team can catch up with us."

A voice of reason, thank you Sir. You couldn't be more accurate. You are correct on both questions/statements. Only exception is that others has been given a chance...and delivered.

Regarding forwards, Sweden has 2 attackers that's put Sweden in the Euro, Elmander and Allbäck.
Allbäck particurlarly seems to score in just about every match (Allbäck is choice No.3). Zlatan and Elmander are starters.

Your second comment is also correct. Although Zlatan hasn't scored, he's not been a slouch (although I think he only has 1 assist). If there's a 0-0 match, chances are great that Zlatan was man of the match.

Zlatan is heaven or hell among some Swedes and it's real tiresome.

Fanboys and haters. It's either " its the midfielders fault he can't score" "The team doesn't understand him" or simply "Zlatan sucks"

Ibrahimovic: "Three very important points"

http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/255/102735500zb1.jpg

SIENA - Zlatan Ibrahimovic spoke on Sky Italia after scoring twice to help Inter to a 3-2 victory at Siena.

"We were expecting it to be a hard game and it was. They are always difficult after the Christmas break," said Ibra, who carried off the man of the match award.

"We have earned three very important points, three points that give the squad even more confidence. We're in excellent form. Now we have to stay focused and continue like this."

Asked if the championship is a two-horse race between Inter and Roma, Zlatan replied: "There's not just Roma. There's also Juventus and Fiorentina, and you'll see that Milan will be back in the race."

Ibra's double against Siena was his sixth brace of the season, and his second goal at the Franchi was one for the archives. "Yes, I scored a wonderful goal," he said. "I'm working very hard in training and you can see the results in matches, thanks also to my team-mates.

"Physically I'm feeling very good and I have great faith in my potential."

"I said he was disciplined. He scored a superb goal and he played very well. He has this potential and he exploits it."

Ibrahimovic: "We never give up"

MILAN - Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his seventh brace of the season to give Inter a 3-2 victory over Parma.

The Swedish forward commented: "Parma played very well. They are a very strong team and should be higher up in the table.

"We won in the end and we're happy. We're very tired because it has been a very hard week for us, but the important thing was to win the three points.

"I scored the goal for 2-2 and I wanted to score the third goal at all costs. I managed to and this is very important.

With 13 league goals to his name, Ibra is in the running for the Serie A top scorer title. "I'm not thinking about this, the only thing that counts is winning the match," he said.

"We won it with great character. Never giving up is one of our qualities, but it's not the only one."

Inter would never be the same without Ibra. He's something different. He choses when to score. If he's in the mood of scoring, he'll score even if there's 30 players against him... he'll always find a way.

Ibrahimovic Calls For Ronaldinho Move

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has called for Inter to sign Ronaldinho after admitting that he would like to play with the Barcelona superstar.

Ronaldinho has becomes something of a confirmed transfer target for the Nerazzurri ever since the club signed a mammoth sponsorship deal with Nike, who are also Ronaldinho’s sponsors.

"Ronaldinho at Inter? Everyone would like to play with him,” Ibrahimovic told the Corriere dello Sport.

“There is always space for someone like Ronaldinho at the big teams."

Ibrahimovic is the latest Inter figure to admit the club’s interest in the Brazilian playmaker.

Coach Roberto Mancini also expressed his desire for the 27-year-old during the weekend.

“Nobody believed me when I talked about Ronaldinho,” Mancio said during a press conference.

“I don’t think it would be a problem to have him settle into the squad. Ronaldinho is a great player and, aside from his behaviour, the important thing is that a champion steps on to the field and makes the difference. He almost always does that.”

Ronaldinho seems highly likely to leave Barcelona in the summer following a miserable campaign in Catalonia.
