The 2007 Asia Cup Tournament (Indonesia/Malaysia/Thailand/Vietnam) begins tomorrow night (Sat-07/07/07) where co-hosts Thailand play Iraq, followed by the new boys of Asian football Australia playing Oman the next day (Sun-08/07/07) to make up the teams for Group A whom play all their group matches in Thailand. Group B- Japan, Qatar, UAE & Vietnam are all played in Vietnam. Group C- China, Iran, Malaysia & Uzbekistan are all played in Malaysia. Group D- Bahrain, Indonesia, South Korea & Saudi Arabia will play all their group matches in Indonesia.

The Official Website of the AFC Asia Cup 2007 is: http://www.afcasiancup.com/en/

As an Australian the adventure into the Asia Cup is a new experience & many have them as favorites to win the tournament with National Team Coach, Graham Arnold having all his stars like: Mark Viduka (Newcastle United), Harry Kewell (Liverpool FC), Tim Cahill (Everton), Brett Emerton (Blackburn), Lucas Neil (West Ham United), Mark Schwarzer (Middlesbrough), Mark Bresciano (Palermo), Jason Culin (PSV Eindhoven), Vince Grella (Torino) & John Aloisi (Alavez) available.

Does Australia deserve the tag of favourites for the tournament considering its their 1st apperance in the tournament, they are not used to the weather conditions & up against some very strong teams in South Korea, Japan, Iran, Saudi Arabia?
