You've never lived if you haven't had a 64 or 48k machine SiN!! We had to load game up with things called 'tapes' and sometimes you had to madually adjust the alignment screw on your tape recorder or datacorder in order to load the game successfuly.

I come from a time when you were considered a programmer if you could do the following in basic

10 Print "Gav is cool"
20 Goto 10

I just recalled this :D. I was 4 or 5 years old when I started playing with a C64 .

My favourite games were "Bozo's Night out", "Commandos", "Giana Sisters", "Karnov", "Thundercats", "Dragon Ninja", "The last ninja" and "Just Imagine". You had any of them?

Nope I was never an arcade or platform gamer. I was more into wargames, strategy, Adventure, flight sims etc. I had loads of C64 games and can't remember most of them. The few I do remember are things like Defender of the Crown, Kennedy Approach (a flight control sim), Gunship, Airborne Ranger, F15 Strike Eagle, Lasersquad, Red Storm Rising, The Sentinel, Ultima VI, Wizardry.

I do remember a few arcade games I had. 1942, Spellbound, Arkanoid, Lemmings and Spyhunter. I had a lot more games but can't really remember anymore. I gave my c64 away to a mate of mine when I got my Atari ST.

I just found this site listing all of the games. It's an emulator site but why you'd want to emulate such old games now is beyond me lol.

I remember the Giana sisters !!! That game was cool :D

There were a few other games I played, the one i do remember is the Le Mans game that was controlled by a mouse.

I also remember a few others but I cant remember their names.

Ahh the good old days!! You can't beat waiting 5 mins for a tape to load your game and then it fails 4 mins and 59 seconds into loading it

Saying that some disc games weren't much better. I remember a friend of mine having Warcraft on disk (can't remember if it was Amiga or PC prior to CD rom) and it was on TWELVE disks!!! I remember him installing it and it failed on disk 10

But the C64 is a computer rather than a console. Completely different in my opinion so difficult to compare. I was never a fan of the Nintendo consoles but if we compare to the older consoles I did have an old Atari console in the 80's.

It was my first ever computer. I owned it when I was 5. It hooked me up to English instantly.
