They were some rumors that the main character of GTA IV would be female. But instead of this they'll have that Serbian or Croatian dude :mad2: :p .

Not to sure I'd be happy playing a female :lol: It just doesn't seem to suit GTA! It would be like Keira Knightly playing an Assassin ;)

I'm not to bothered what race I play as long as the story is good. My favpurite of the games would be Vice City I think. I wasn't really into the Boys from the Hood kinda think in San Andreas. I can relate more to Gangsters rather than 'hood gang members!

GTA games were always my favorite and gta 4 just got better i learned that the main character's name is Niko Belic which is a Croatian name i cant believe it

His full name is Nikolai "Niko" Bellic, so I doub't hes croatian or Serbian.

But, you know who he reminds me of?.. If you have seen the movie "Behind Enemy Lines" with Owen Willson, he reminds me of the sniper that chased him all over Bosnia, haha.

Every preview I've read the Niko character is said to be Croatian but not heard any official confirmation on this.

I got the game a few days ago and it rocks! The best GTA yet. They've re-vamped the driving engine and now driving is ultra cool. More like a racing game than a GTA sim. The entire feel of driving just feels perfect. You need to use your handbrake a lot when driving at high speed as you need to brake to corner and at speed the brake doesn't do a lot so the hand brake comes in handy for turning.

The graphics are excellent, the character is great (wasn't really into the street gang thing from SA), you have a mobile that tracks quests, keeps contacts that you met in the game and gives you access to live (if you have the 360 version). People call you to give you missions and you also have non mission related contacts like girls you can date etc.

Went to the bar for the first time today with my Bro, Roman and we came out pissed and when you're drunk the camera rocks from side to side to disorientate you and it works... in fact I started feeling a little sick. I crashed twice just turning the car round lol. 10/10 in my book :)

The only problem I have with it so far is the voice of Niko (the character you play) it's clearly voiced by an American (a guy from Law & Order) and although your character is supposed to be Eastern European (Serbian by most accounts) you can tell the voice actor isn't eastern European and the accent breaks up at times and sounds dodgy. Why they couldn't have found an eastern European do do the accent I don't know? It would have sounded much better if it sounded natural.
