Cool, so who's Portugal's next rival?
Well Portugal will be versing Armenia on the 22nd of August for the Euro 08 Qualifications. I think it should be a relatively easy match, and i dont think Portugal will be taking there full strength squad for this one.

So Portugal doesn't have a game untill August 22, dam that's a long time from now!
I know! In There previous match they drew 1-1 with Kuwait which was a freindly but a bad result for them!

Well it's early, once they get their full squad I'm sure they'll do some damage!

bad news for us, the portuguese, Ricardo Carvalho is injured, from a game of the English Premiership (Chelsea - Reading, I think). But I hope we can make a decent result there in Armenia...
Well in there last 2 matches in the Euro 2008 Portugal have drawn with Poland and Serbia and they are sitting 3rd in Group A.
Its not looking so good for them so far but they can still place 1st or 2nd if they win a few more matches, the group is pretty tight!
Portugal will make it for sure!
They just need a good few solid wins, 3 draws out of 3 recent games have really damaged there repuatation as a force in Europe, i havent really heard much about them this Euro 08 to be honest, so they need to get some good wins!
Yeah they haven't impressed anyone to be honest but they're way to good to miss the event in Austria/Swiss next summer. They do need to show that soon though otherwise it might be to late.
Most people are saying they have too many individuals in there team and not enough team playing style. I agree, i mean C.Ronaldo is one person who loves to play with the ball and stir the opponent up, he is more of a full attacking style player than and playmaker on the wing. He should start to feed the ball more imo
I totally agree with that. He's way to inlove with the ball, he needs to share it with the others more.
It's the same with Ibrahimovic when he plays in the NT but he has mature and he plays 10times better when he let go of the ball, play simple and then do some freaky shit with the ball. That's good enough...
Yeh but Ibra is a forward, he is mainly in one on one situations or has to do some good moves to get past one or two defenders, with Ronaldo all he does is freaky leg movements and he runs straight at opponents most of the time lol. But he is still a great player lets not forget! He is really quick and has alot of skill, control, balance and flare. (And any girls that read this, HE IS NOT HOT!!! Geeezzz how can u find him attractive??) lol

We had 1000 fans pack into a local club to watch the UEFA Euro match against Turkey at 4am.
Local newspaper ran a feature with a bunch of pics, video, and a Portuguese translation. http://www.theexpress.com.au/article/2008/06/17/2843_news.html

I agree with you 100%, he's really good but i don't like how he repeats his silly tricks too much, he's quite predictable. But still a top player.
Portugal want Manchester United assistant Carlos Queiroz as their new manager since Scolari has announced he is moving to Chelsea.

Does anyone agree with me that it is now getting to the point where Portugal are gonna be grouped with England, Spain (i expect them to put this right on Sunday) and Holland as being under acheivers for the talent they have in their sqaud?
