Riquelme back with the Albiceleste?

A couple of days ago there was a rumor that Riquelme might be back with the Albiceleste but that rumor looks like it will be true. Apparently Basile (coach) has decided to call up Riquelme for Copa America and it will be official soon. Basile was saying that theres no other player that call fill Riquelmes position and that it will be great to see him play this Copa America after his incredible performances with Boca lately!

El ídolo Juan Román Riquelme podría volver a la Selección Argentina de Futbol en las próximas horas para poder participar en la Copa América, señalaron versiones periodísticas.

Riquelme provocó un cimbronazo el año pasado, cuando renunció a la Selección después del Mundial de Alemania en el que la albiceleste fue eliminada por el equipo anfitrión en Cuartos de Final.

En ese momento, el enganche argumentó que prefería dejar al seleccionado antes de que su mamá siguiera soportando las críticas negativas que cayeron en alud en su contra, responsabilizándolo en gran parte por el fracaso.

Sin embargo, las versiones electrónicas de los principales diarios del país señalan que ya es un secreto a voces que Riquelme volverá a la Selección, a sólo dos días de que el equipo parta hacia Venezuela para participar en la Copa América que comienza el próximo martes.

El diario Clarín afirmó que el entrenador Alfio Basile "ya tiene el visto bueno del volante, quien en las próximas horas incluso haría el anuncio oficial y así confirmará su presencia en la Copa".

La semana pasada, el técnico advirtió que la vuelta de Riquelme a la Selección sólo dependía de él, aunque reconoció que no tiene a nadie que ocupe su puesto en la cancha.

Riquelme vive un excelente momento futbolístico, ya que luego de pelearse con el Villarreal de España, regresó en enero a Boca Juniors en calidad de préstamo, y condujo al equipo a la Final de la Copa Libertadores.
