No, i'm not married to a turk and i also don't have a turkish boyfriend. It's all Fenerbahçe that made me the way i am today.

Despite my Fenerbahçe love i never had problems with foreigners or xenophobia. My motto has always been that there are nice people and idiots amongst every nation.

no dude, without a turkish pass it is not possible to be called up. They can't call up a german citizen to make the military duty in turkey.

Turkish citizens living here in Germany only have to make 1 month of military duty (in a special camp) and have to pay an amount because they don't need to make it at the normal time of 15 moths.

Man am i old compared to you guys

My parents are Kibrisli, i was born here in Australia.

Military duty is a interesting topic, i am not req'd to do any in Turkiye but after i turned 18 and visited Kibris, i had to go and register with the Asker and polis even though i was born in Australia and dont hold a Turkish passport (took a whole day :mad2:). Anyway, i am only allowed to stay in Kibris for 3 months in 1 calender year and if i stay longer i have to pay ~$10,000 AUD for 1 month or do the 2 years.

I think that we should paste some info about the city/town we all live in when we go on holiday to Turkey ;)
and maybe some pics..

here is some info about where we live in Turkey, Tire/Izmir
Tire is a district of İzmir Province of Turkey.

It is one of the largest towns in the area and is situated 82 km. southeast of İzmir. It at the foot of the Aydin Mountains. Its long cultural heritage includes periods under the Hittites, Phrygians, Lydians, Persians, Romans and Byzantines, and it developed its strong links with the economy during the Ottoman period. The town has an attractive old quarter with many impressive examples of Islamic architecture, and a lively Tuesday market influenced by the Roma population in the surrounding villages. Also famous is Tire kebab, one of the most delicious food in town.

Ödemiş is a district of İzmir Province of Turkey.

North of Ödemiş, which is 113km southeast of İzmir, are the ruins of Hypaiapa. The historical importance of the region is also reflected by the small town of Birgi, west of Ödemiş, which was the capital of the Anatolian Turkish Beylik of Aydın and it has outstanding examples of Seljük and Ottoman architecture. Birgi has been on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list since 1994, and points of interest here include Çakırağa Mansion, İmam-i Birgivi Medrese and Sultanşah Mausoleum.

I love these types of houses:

you are so right about the nightlife! there are some favourite bars or pubs that you can go, but in addition to these what you can only do is to meet with friends at someone else's house and listen to music, drink or watch dvd. :smoking:

but this city is where I was born and grew up. So, you are getting used to the daily routines and never complain about them. :)
