Im not going to lie i dont know much about him....but from what i've seen he looks very strong and has an excellent ballcontrol. He is only 20 years old and has an english football education. He also plays for the Turkish u21 team.
In my eyes a very good signing.

I agree, this guy is a huge prospect for the future. Hopefully he gets more playing time in the turkish fa cup

Ok well, here's an exclusive from me to you. I have met him. He is the cousin of a girl I know. I can say a couple of things about him that may interest you.
1) He's a decent footballer, a prospect I guess, but still has a LOT to prove. He could end up a flop or he could succeed. I have been following his games on TV as I had met him so know quite a bit. He wasn't a regular starter at Sheffield United but when he played, he would occasionally show a bit of class. The bigger clubs obviously didn't think too much of him as they would have snapped him up. Even so, I'm hopeful that he can be a success at Fener.
2) He has a terrible attitude. It's even mentioned on his Wikipedia page. He was raised in Leytonstone which is a pretty bad area of London. He has a typical attitude for young black guys who live in that area (they like to act like gangsters). I hope it doesn't get in the way of his career. Maybe living in Turkey will calm him down.
All in all, I'm not sure how this one is going to turn out. We'll just have to wait and see.

To be honest, I haven't seen much of him. I did see him play in Turkey vs Brazil game, and I think he did a lousy job. Lost all the balls he got, and was basically a waste of time. That could be due to a 'uyum' problem. I did notice though, that he's an explosive player and could potentially replace Tuncay. Overall, an OK signing
What turns the tables about this signing is that we get an English player with a Turkish citizenship. :)

Welcome to the Republic of Fenerbahçe, Colin!!
Edit: I had such a nice best-of clip with Colin goals. Today it was removed from youtube by the user himself. A friend just told me that this user was called "bjkliyiz.net". And one of the comments was: "no worries Aziz, we're going to get him for us" ... Reminds me on polat and this Roberto Carlos pankart story

LOL! That's pretty funny.
A couple of other things I forgot to mention in my earlier post which I have been reminded of through reading a few newspaper reports. CKR scored just 1 goal in 29 matches for Sheff. Utd. Of the 29 appearences, he was a sub in 12. He was purchased for £150k and has now been sold for over a million after a sub-standard performance. Not sure if that was a good piece of business by Fener. I really hope they know what they are doing.
Here are some of the reactions from premiership fans obtained from the bbc site which support my reaction:

Good riddance to CKR - Hopefully now we will play a more attacking style of play going forward, particulary away from home, where Warnock played the lone striker, supported by CKR, giving him licence to have a free 'Larry Large Up', whilst everyone else worked their rocks off! I may even take a day off work to give him a lift to the airport if we get £1.25m for him!

I've seen Richards play a number of times this season and if he's worth over a million then I must be worth few bob. He's very poor and just shows how crazy the transfer market is at the moment.

Kazim-Richards is total toilet, my 69 year old father would be a better option up front

I liked CKR, but 1 in 29 is hardly the return required. I don't think he's better or worse than Webber, Nade, Stead, Hulse, probably even Shelton, and on that basis one out the door with £1m back in can't be BAD business, and good luck to the kid - hope it goes well for him.

Yes his goal record does seem poor, but for once it is an English club being offered stupid money, instead of it being the other way round.
I seem to remember Les Ferdinand going out to Turkey and coming back a pretty decent player, that plus CKR has some Turkish ancestry means that hopefully it's a good deal for all parties.
Who knows in a few years time he might come back and take the Premiership by storm.

This is one of the weirdest transfers i've ever seen.He 's just not the sort of player you'd expect to player for fenerbache. It reminds of when that boro player joined juve out of the blue was him name alan o'brien?

There have been a few good comments too, but all of them along the lines of, he may be good in the future. This is what I have been saying. Although he may be good, he may also fizzle out and be crap. Lets hope the latter won't be the case. C'mon Fener... Teach this kid how to play football and score goals!

And look who the is talking. Im sure u guys know how to make good transfers. Like, Ailton, Baki Mercimek, Kleberson, and the list goes on and on.....

Lol, less fana-childish stuff more decent talk pal.
I would have said those words for Beşiktaş in the Beşiktaş forum if we bought him.
Plus Ailton was a good transfer just didn't stitch with Beşiktaş. Baki Mercimek is the backbone of Beşiktaş's defense, check out his charts boy. I agree with you on Kleberson. Sure he scored some good goals and few vital ones but his absence would not make a big difference for Beşiktaş.
Do you know how many players Fenerbahçe bought since Aziz Yıldıvım?
Edit: Yes! Right there, the expression I was looking for for weeks. "We showed our greatness and stole it from you guys" That's the problem with all of our teams today. They compete with each other even for transfers and if one of them pays big bucks the other one is eager to go further than the last. It's nothing but a pissing contest between some oldies to me and Fenerbahçe is by far the most successful.

Kendisi arada kütük gibidir fakat tabloları olumludur her zaman onun için kadroda.
Ailton yirmi küsürden fazla golle geldi Beşiktaşa kötü transfer midir bu? Kazım efendi 3 sezonda atmış ondan az golü. =P

Ailton potential olarak iyi bir transfer ama elinizde patladi bizim dievid gibi.
when someone gets by Baki for example Tuncay he just trips them from the back and somehow gets away with. Baki if i'm not mistaken cost u many games with his mistakes.

What is this Besiktas guy doing here? Wait til you make some transfers... I'll be on your board taking the piss. Wait, let me rephrase. IF you manage to make any transfers from here on in (which Fener obviously won't be interested in because lets face it, any player in the world who is sane and has a choice between playing for Fener or Besiktas would choose Fener), then I'll be on your board taking the piss out of your acquisition.
P.S. What kind of a fight for the title was that? You're supposed to keep on winning.

I hope they both get plenty of goals against you guys next season so I can come back on here and laugh at you.

I think he is worth it, too.
First of, as one of the Sheffield United said in their forum, he wont be one of the "big three". He is gonna have to work hard to be a starter. Not to mention he is only 20 years old, and has a lot of potential.
I've been checking out Sheffield United forums myself yesterday, and as Fener4Life said, Blades fans have 2 seperate views on this issue. Some think it's a good business, because of money, others think he should have never been sold, because he'd be an essential part of the team.

Good sub for Deivid if you ask me. Soon he'll be even better. We needed somebody who could hide the ball well (like Yusuf Simsek) and I think if he learns to better distribute our right wing will be as good as our left.

Fenerbahçe SK will enter the UEFA Champions League first knockout round draw for the first time on Friday – and English-born attacker Kazım Kazım is dreaming of playing Premier League opposition.
English hope
Manchester United FC and Chelsea FC are among seven potential opponents for the Turkish champions, who beat PFC CSKA Moskva 3-1 last week to clinch second place in Group G and progress from the group stage for the first time in five attempts. The former Colin Kazım-Richards, a summer signing from Sheffield United FC, is hoping to face familiar foes on 19/20 February and 4/5 March, with the first leg in Istanbul. "I want to get an English club," Kazım Kazım told uefa.com. "For Fenerbahçe to get an English club would be massive as well, as the Premier League is the best league is the world. So if we can do something against one of the best teams in the world, it would be great for Turkey."
Playing for place
The 21-year-old appeared in five of Fenerbahçe's group stage matches, coming on as a substitute four times. In his sole start it was his shot that was deflected in for the opening goal in the crucial 2-0 win against PSV Eindhoven on Matchday 4, while against CSKA he had a great chance blocked by a defender within minutes of his second-half arrival. "I should have scored – I didn't play my best," Kazım Kazım said. "Sometimes that happens. I've got to keep pressing on and pushing for my place because I've been playing well recently and training hard."
EURO dream
Kazım Kazım has extra incentive to win a starting place at Fenerbahçe. Turkey have qualified for UEFA EURO 2008™, and the forward aims to be in Austria and Switzerland, having made his senior international debut against Brazil in June in a year when he has been an Under-21 regular. "I know I should be in the team, I know I could play," he said. "I bring something different to whatever team I play in, especially international football. They are not likely to deal easily with people like me, who are direct and have fun getting through people. I'm not saying I get past them all the time but I'll never stop getting at them. So I hope [Turkey coach] Fatih Terim's watching – I think he does like me or he wouldn't have picked me. So that's my aim, but I need to play here or it will stop me going to EURO."

I know everybody thinks that it is a bad business to pay 1 million pound for a player who has a value of just 0.15 million pound. However, i frankly hope that it ll turn up good business in a few years. He has played in the end of several games of Fenerbahçe and it is sure that he is talented with good ball-driving ability. Zico should replace him with Deivid at the end of the games for letting CKR to have more experience this season. Thus, everyone ll get amazed that he ll be great.
And one more thing about policy of Fenerbahçe; i definately agree with Fenerbahçe's transfer policy. We should pay big amounts for young and unknown players as M,United, Milan, Real Madrid do. Beside this, also continue to purchase experienced players like Roberto Carlos and should continue to occur good harmony between famous experienced player and young, talented, candidate of being famous players.
I know everybody ll be disagree with my opinion however if i were Aziz Yıldırım, i would definetely transfer Hakan Şükür even although he is almost 37. If he can be a part of team without creating any problem he can be a good key for last 15 minutes of matches especially in TSL.
the whole sukur thing will not be good... just look at rustu going to bjk, a lot of bjk fans dislike him. i would not want that faggot, trust me he is prolly with lincoln, roaming a pitch with a fener jersey. if he was a classy player he would retire from GS, but he isnt, hes a money sucking faggot, and thats why he wants to play in england and there have been rumors with a few clubs wanting him. so his greedy ass wants money let him go to england, and just die off there.

I know he is so greedy, however if he involves in our squad, he may mind to be a team player. The administrative staff and also players ll never let him to be selfhish, greedy or faggot. Anyway, i prefer Hakan Şükür as a good substitute instead of Gökhan Ünal who is recent transfer rumour.
Meanwhile, are there any premier leauge club, shows insterest for Hakan? I guess these kind of old players can just be a good substitute in their home land.
