he plays for Newcastle in Oz A league, hes not a bad player, i was alittle surprised about his selection Uruguay match exposed some of his lack of experience, (trying tricky moves when theres only 3 min on the clock ...)
with more exposure he will shape up to be a great player .. but i still think its a bit soon for him to play in Asia cup

Began his career as a 15 year old at Sydney Olympic in the NSL.
He was handed The Captains Armband for Newcastle's 3-0 win over Queensland Roar. In that match he was also given a fourth yellow to be suspended for their 2-3 loss to Adelaide United.
Nicky Carle has starred for the Newcastle Jets in the first 2 seasons. He is a class midfielder using fancy footwork which has made him a fan favourite.
The goal he scored against Adelaide United in Round 10 of the 2006-07 A-League Season was named 'Goal of the Season'.On Monday February 12 2007 Carle was named the A-League Player of the Year on popular Australian football site, pintculture.com. Carle won the sites Arok Award from Melbourne Victory player Kevin Muscat by one vote. [1]
Later on during the month, Carle won the prestigious Johnny Warren Medal for the players' player of the year for his performance throughout the 2006/07 season, beating Melbourne Victory's Daniel Allsopp, Archie Thompson and the aforementioned Muscat.[2] Carle also won the goal of the year award.
Carle is the inspiration and the heart in the Newcastle Jets side, he is the vice captain of the team, penalty taker and is a leader both on and off the field. In 2007 he added another another attribute to his belt becoming one of the hardest working players in the Newcastle Jets team in a conscious effort to improve himself as a footballer. He has stated recently the he would consider offers overseas in order to improve his chances of playing for the national side.
[edit] International Career
Represented Australia at the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship.
Carle earned his senior Australian team call up against Venezuela in 2004. He came on as a substitute on the 84th minute replacing David Zdrilic.
In March 2007 Nick Carle was called up to the Australian for the second time to face the China in Ghangzhou. The call up brings to an end a frustrating 3 years for the Carle, who has been constantly snubbed by national team managers, beginning with the 2004 Olympic side.
Called up to the Australian national squad for a third time in a friendly match to face Uruguay in Sydney as a warm up to the Asian Cup. He came on in the 69th minute and set up a scoring opportunity. Carle also attempted an audacious cross, missing the ball completely, squandering a potential goalscoring opportunity. This highlights his inexperience and questions his suitability for international football.
Carle, was selected in Graham Arnold's side to contest the 2007 Asian Cup, ending 3 years of national team exile. Carle is expected to play a minor role at most in the side that holds such depth in the midfield. Carles inclusion in the squad is seen by some as a necessity whilst many beleive the inclusion was politically based, to include A-Leauge players, with the likes of Scott McDonald of Celtic missing out.

it should be noted McDonald wasnt picked so he could have a better oportunity to concentrate on his club commitments and to be a permanent on celtics starting side.

well our club website denied agreeing with him, but they have denied almost every transfer that we have made. So he might as well be on his way to Fenerbahce

as far as im aware in principal Nicky Carle is going to Fenerbahce, however i think there still more or less negotiating his transfer fee, if Newcastle gets too greedy Nicky could miss out on a great oportunity to develop his football.
if Zico took him under his wing he could be an awsome player :)
