I routinely watch highlights of J-League soccer on Fox Soccer Channel (Gambare!) and am always entertained by all the offensive fireworks week in and week out! It seems every team in J-League fires shots at the goal all game long and if the goalkeeper doesn't do an amazing diving save...the ball bounces off the goal frame! Totally exciting stuff! It's better than the indoor league I play in.

I like a lot of the teams, actually. I wish I could order an FCTokyo jersey.

I don't think so.
Chinese league is stronger than J-league notwithstanding Japanese National football team is better than Chinese National football team.

May be it is exciting to watch.
However, J-league teams always get beaten up by K-league teams, C-league teams and all other Middle Eastern teams.

Brazilian league and Argentinian league are awesome.
The produce world class players over there.
They are better than J-league and second rated European leagues like Eridivisie or Jupiler league or Hellas.

J-League has nothing over the Mexican League!

When did I bring up the Mexican league or the Brazilian league or the 3rd World shithole league? This is supposed to be a celebration over the excitement that is J-League soccer...and..specifically..the highlights of J-League soccer

I watch plenty of Mexican league soccer. Overall..it is boring as hell. Too much tepid play. Too many airballs. If there was a weekly show showing the highlights of Mexican soccer it would be a blank screen! Not enough exciting play!

The Mexican National team is a completely different story. I watch them play and they play a great game. They are quality.

The Argentine League is only interesting when it's Boca v River Plate. The other teams are way below those two. I also don't like how Argentinian fans trash their fields with all sorts of crap thrown on the field. I do like the sound of an Argentine game..the drums, the singing...very cool.

Time to bring this back to Japan. J-League is great.

And to the idiot above who posted those soccer links? Idiot. Don't you think I might've already gone their in the first place!!!! It is impossible to get an FC Tokyo shirt in the US. eBay is for losers.

For me, MLS is far better than J-league.
I sometimes watch J-league highlights, and they aren't that bad but not good either.
Mexican league? I have no idea.
Brazilian league? They are awesome.
I used to watch MLS regularly, and I find MLS is a joke compared to European leagues. However, MLS is inferior league as J-league.

I read somewhere that MLS is between 10-20th in world league ranking whilke J-league is in between 30-40th.

J-league exciting? May be exciting to some Japanese football fans, not me.

J-League has nothing over the Mexican League!

MLS is surely more superior than J-league for sure.
I don't know about Mexican league. We know that Mexico is better than Japan in national team games. Mexico regularly smashes Japan.

 The most exciting leagues in the world, besides those from Europe, are in South America. I've only been to games in Chile, Argentina and Brazil and I can say, from experience, that the quality of most of the games was something different indeed. You don't really see fast-paced, overly strategic or defensive football. You just see a lot of possession football, skill, technique. You also see a lot of players taking risks, which is why there are so many South American players in Europe. The only downside, at times, is the on-field and off-field (fan) violence. But, derbies or classics over there are like nothing else I've ever seen anywhere.

I think the J-League is still improving today, and it is definitely an exciting league. The fans are lively and passionate. They really get into the games. I'm not sure how it compares to the best league in Korea Republic. All I know is that it's probably best, or 2nd best, in the Asia-Pacific region. Here in Australia, the A-League isn't that great. It's new, but the football is fairly boring and predictable. It's like watching poor 1st division or 2nd division games in England.

what bout A-league in australia we have some pretty awesome players frm around the world n up n coming stars jst like harry kewell, mark viduka and mark schawzer. The J-league is awesome n so many exciting things happen but well any soccer in my view is good b it under 5s or ova 50s!

I get what you mean jelly123. At the same time, I was involved with the game for quite a while in Australia, and I can say that, from a young age, little kids are often discouraged by their coaches if they "dribble too much" or are "too technical". This is the type of thing that should be encouraged, yet time and time again we see the opposite at junior level. This doesn't do the game any good in the long-term because coaches themselves are minimising the chances of Australia having elite players in the future. Did you hear about the 9yr old Australian kid that went to Manchester United? Sure, perhaps nothing will become of it, but the kid had a rare talent. His dad facilitated his own development instead of letting his coach do it because he didn't want the coach to focus development on other areas.

The A-league is still improving, and hopefully it can become stronger in years to come, but I don't think that bringing players from overseas is the solution, which is what is happening now. Like I said, I think that, at a junior level, things need to change.

amen brother! i no wot u mean ive seen sum awesome players in my club n still they get told there 2 fancy n if they keep doing stupid tricks n flicks like that theyll b on the bench for the game. its true thgh A-league shuld b more focussed in bringing new harry kewells into the world game rather then getting other players frm diff countries to benefit (if there is any benefit in A-league yet) A-league shuld start looking at smaller clubs in nsw n australia n start searching for australias world cup team for 2014
