What did you think about the final, i personally think it was very unlucky for United not to have that goal paid, and United were all over Chelsea for most of the game, but Chelsea created good chances,
What did you think?

As much as I wanted United to win, I feel that Giggs fouled Cech.
Not the original kick toward goal but the follow through.

Absolutely right, Holicman.
Free kicks are awarded where a challenge takes man and not ball. Even where it's an accident.
Free kicks are also given where the ball has been played first and the follow through contact could be dangerous.
It wouldn't be difficult to say that there were two movements by Giggs...the first being the goal scoring attempt, the second being the further attempt at the ball when it didn't go in from the first touch. If we take that description, the second movement didn't play the ball and therefore it was a foul (according to current definitions).
If we don't see the incident that way, then the contact in the head area was certainly dangerous and therefore foul play under the second note.
Then there's natural justice...........
pshhh i now hate drogba even more

Worst FA Cup Final ever!! I suppose that's what happens when you build a game up so much. Seriously though, I was bored to tears. Normally I hope that big games don't go to penalties because it's such a bad way to lose. I wouldn't have minded on Saturday though. With negative tactics and uninspiring performances nobody really deserved to win.
Well done Chelsea anyway. :clap2: The Drogba and Lampard's interchange was the best move of the match.

I was more bored watching the Man Utd Arsenal FA cup final.
This one was lively. Rooney played his heart out. You can't help but feel for him. Giggs was the villan of the day for Man Utd, he should have scored instead of bumping into the goalkeeper. There was another chance he had when Rooney had released him, but Giggs, very uncharacteristically had a poor first touch and by the time he was ready to take a shot at goal Essien had the ball cleared.
Yeah, the Lampard Drogba move was quite nice.
Can some one expalin to me why Fergusson plays a 4-5-1 at almost all away games/big games. That clearly doesn't work for them. They got cremed by Milan, lost to Celtic and lost at Roma too when they played a 4-5-1. When they play a 4-4-2 with Smith or Saha as a support striker for Rooney, they end up scoring more and winning. Fergusson has become ultra-defensive over the last 2 seasons.

Really? I don't think many will agree.
Goals don't necessarily prove anything but 3 seasons ago ManU scored 57. In the two 'ultra-defensive' seasons since, they scored 72 and now 83.
So in playing more defensively they increased their goals total by 45%.
Funnily enough, in playing 'ultra-defensively' over the last two seasons, as well as scoring far more often they also conceded more.
You might want to think again...unless you mean in the CL where ManU is isually a bit more cautious.

Agreed, the reason Fergie plays Rooney up front by himself is not because he's trying to be defensive - it's because he's got nobody good enough to play with him. Instead he relies on his attacking midfielders to score goals and support Rooney. The reason Utd lost (and played so poorly) is because Ronaldo, Scholes and Giggs were completely anonymous.
