View Full Version : Change of generations - neccesary !!!!!
This is exactly what Croatian national side needs. It simply isn't right top keep the old world cup team-look what happened to Germany - they went to a world cup'98 with the same team that played in '94: They got kicked out in quartefinals. Now they changed 8-9 players. We need some players from theu-21 team alongside more experienced but still young players. This is what I'm talking about:
1. Pletikosa (Pavlovic)
2. R.Kovac (Miladin, Tomas)
3. Tudor
4. D.Simic (Smoje)
5. Soldo (Biscan)
6. N. Kovac (Jarni)
7. Stanic (Saric)
8. Rukavina
9. Leko
10. Boksic (Sokota)
11. Suker (Balaban, Peternac)
they should start these world cup qualifications - as soon as they start playing together the better.
I agree totally BBB, as hard as it is to see the players that have given us so much pleasure retire unfortunately the time has come. Its time for a new generation and there is no better time to start than with the World Cup qualifiers. I know Croatia has a long and hard road ahead but so do many other national teams.
Lets be happy and cherish the memories that this generation of world class players have given us and look forward to a new generation.

Yeah-a change is necessary however I think the next generation is too young and inexperienced and if we go with them we might not qualify for the World Cup I think...
Oh well, we will see what will happen but whatever happens, I will never forget that summer in France!

You didn't put Vranjes anywhere on the team. Was that intentional, or a mistake?
It was my mistake - I simply forgot Vranjes. He's a great player.

What do you think of Silvio Maric? I think he's a very talented player, but not at all suited for the EPL. He doesn't play that style, so that's why I think he was such a bust. He should have came to Milan.
He's good but I haven't seen him play in a long long time now.

A change is definately needed. But don't expect it soon, Ciro is more than happy to keep things the way they are, God knows he won't get fired.
It's time for Mr Iviĉ! He has more tactical knowledge then Ĉiro he should be able to make a good team without star players. Ĉiro's soccer is slow and revolves around only one player - that costs us.

I agree 100%. Ivic was very good. I don't see any of the young strikers like Balaban or Sokota getting a chance under Blazevic, at least not in an important game. I love Suker, but he's getting on and not what he once was. Blazevic would never even consider benching him.
Uh I forgot that Vastiĉ guy - if he only would be there for us - naaaaah
