Grand Prix de "Slavovision" should be the new name of the ESC!!!

I have nothing against but With the friendly support of the slavic Balkan countries and the ex Soviet states the new winner of ESC thankfully to its slavic support managed to win.

I dont want to be taken wrong because in the end i have nothing against it, but its seemed quit clearly that night that the "slavic countries" were clearly dominating!!

ESC in the same time is getting worser in many aspects too, as well as more politically, because the song or the performance of one or the other, is not looking to be so much more important today (we all saw much better songs that night who end up to be in the last places) but oh yeah however..

it might not feel so good for the rest of eu countries as welll whos chances for a first place are looking to be smaller and smaller every year, and so as usuall the slavic ones will be growing up for real, and theyd would be voting eachother even more in the future and so as can imagine we are going to have a slavic host country of ESC like everyyear :D

oops my congrats for the winner thou ;)

What is going on in this contest is known. The Slavs vote each other, the Scandinavians vote each other etc, this is happening many years now.

And this would happen to any international contest (music-related or not) where countries would be represented and the result are based on voting. Objectivity is not something dominant is not something when it comes to nations and their relations, that's natural :D.

So what ?

Thats not good becouse Western Europe cant dominate in this contes ? Like we give a shit, we have better songs and more talent then they do with their evil satan culture(last year those guys from Finland), and gey preformance  .

We are talking for years how in the world Champions league can have that name, when majority of teams who where not champions play there.

Just becouse they dominate in football Spain,England,Italy,Germany can have 3-4 teams in there but some Eastern European champion have to go thru qualification to get in final stage:boo: .

At least we dominate in this Eurosong shit, and you want to take it away from us  .

Whatever............

Thump thump has it ever occured to you that scadivanians could possible like scandivanian music more than slavic music and slavs like slavic music more than scandivanian music or wait maybe Serbia won because it is one of the few countries that has enough talent in their own country to sing in their own language unlike mostly everybody in western europe singing in english because their music is sh!t

You're a joke Pape.

This "competetion" has a lot to do with cultures and traditions. Slavic countries like their kind of clothes, music etc. and vice versa in scandinavia.

Man I wish I came out of the pussy that made you such a smart ass. With answers like that you really could solve every problem in this world.

But I do disagree on one thing you said
This "competetion" has a lot to do with cultures and traditions.
Well I just didn't know that 80% of Europe always sang in English.

are you american or are you european?

The rule requiring countries to sing in their own national language has been changed several times over the years. From 1956 until 1965, there was no rule restricting the languages in which the songs could be sung. However, in 1966 a rule was imposed stating that the songs must be performed in one of the official languages of the country participating.[12]

The language restriction continued until 1973, when it was lifted and performers were again free to sing in any language they wished.[12] Several winners in the mid-1970s took advantage of the newly-found freedom, with performers from non-native-English-speaking countries singing in English, including ABBA in 1974.

In 1977, the EBU decided to revert to the national language restriction.[12] However, special dispensation was given to Germany and Belgium as their national song selection procedures were already too advanced to change.[31]

In 1999, the rule was changed again to allow freedom of language once more.[12] This linguistic freedom led to the Belgian entry in 2003, Sanomi, being sung in an entirely constructed language.[36] In 2006 the Dutch entry, Amambanda, was sung partly in English and partly in an artificial language.[37]

I believe the winner sang in Serbian and not in English. Now tell me you are sorry and don't enter a discussion you know nothing about if you want to act like a smart ass all the time.

Also Turkey gave Armenia most points, than Bosnia, than Russia, and Greece way in the back with 4 points, once again proving you are talking music out of your ass.

Im not ! I dont give a crap man!

I just said what I feel its true, and that the songs or the performance of one singer is not so much important today anymore, which sucks, and that it is getting more politically as well. Slavic countires has dominated that night by giving max points to eachother, and if they continue doing like that, so their soon owning that place, because we have too many countries of slavic background in our continent.

Scandinavians share points as well, and that Sux too:boo: because i dont think countries should vote their neighbour country or use the ESC as a thing to make better relations/concetions to other countries through the song contest!!!!! its bullshit

I wasent sockpuppet or spammer, i was member here before him and most of these Bosnians,Serbs and Croats. You can check that for yourself, and im member here since Sept 2003.

Yea some of these guys have few thousand posts more then i do, but unlike them who throw few words or smiles in their posts, i write my opinion.

Having watched the ESC since I was a little kid I have to say I'd rather have them sing in their own language than have them sing in English even when they don't know the language at all. I mean if you know English well then by all means have a song in English, I loved Hungary's song for example. BUT if the lyrics consist of SHAKE IT! SHAKE IT! Or some semi-pornographic nonsense or "Put a cherry in my cake and taste my cherry pie" then please, for the love of music, stick to your own language! We have the songs subtitled anyway.

WAYS TO WIN EUROVISION!

1. Come dressed up as a Star (Like our Ukrainian friends did)

2. Or come on dressed like a Demon

3. In the performance cut some mans head off and throw it at the crowd.

4. Use a lot of fire works also.

5. Sing with the deepest voice you can imagine.

6. And most importantly, separate your nation in 5 different countries which can all vote for you!

Am sure you will win it following these 5 steps.

Eurovision is a joke. It has the worst music I have ever heard. I see absolutely no talent in these competitions anymore accept a few performances. Turned into a ***king circus.

No, no it wasn't. It barely beat Armenia. The melody was hideous and I don't want to hear a sleazy guy with a rating of about 10+ on the ickiness scale to sing about getting it on with some poor woman.

Guys lets all agree that allmost all of the songs of this year were Hilarious and crappy... in both ways i mean. And I fully agree with most of you guys here that ESC is only getting worser and worser every year as well as the songs..

Though unless other times this year we used to see one of their most crappiest songs ever, and a big CIRCUS as well lol, How in earth would a song like that of Ukraine for example get the second spot ?? :lol  Just how ?? cant get it ! :faint2: lol

I must say the only song i wanted to go somehow through was that of Swistzerland but they didnt made it to finals, and thats only because my favourite DJ - Dj Bobo was part of that song...

You are wrong. When you translate a song from one language to another it sounds stupid.

On the other hand, you can not have people making songs on English so everyone can understand, or making songs for Eurovision when they never know who is going to represent its country there.

Just for the record, there is no Bosnians in Monaco.........but last year they gave us 12 points for Hari Varesanovic's song Lejla. They know what is quality:) !

But my favorite one has to be the Russians. If you cannot get talent up stage at least send something to entertain us with! Oh those girls!

Isn't it time for some of the countries to follow the example of Italy? Fun is fun and jokes are jokes but the whole thing is becoming ugly.

Or at least abolish the "national representation" in this contest. We don't want to feel that we are being represented by something in such a show (?). Whatever.

People take this competition too seriously. irst of all music is not something that can be quantified and so I am against all these crappy competitions. Why make it a competition. Music is to be enjoyed, not fought over. This eurovision competition is completely rigged. All Slavic countries stick together. Scandanavians stick together. Germany gets vote from no one. Not even Austria and Switzerland.

But in an all time competition we still have given the world Beethoven, Mozart (Salzburg- but we'll claim him) and Bach, to name a few. :p
