EXTROVERT Italian striker Cristiano Lucarelli wants to join Manchester United.

The Livorno skipper, 31, wants to quit his Serie A side in the summer and his agents have contacted Sir Alex Ferguson about a £6m move.

Lucarelli is known for his strong political beliefs and idolises Che Guevara, his views allegedly limiting his number of Italy caps to three.

He has scored 16 league goals this season.

You realised I was talking about Lucarelli right??
This is from the daily Mirror and sums up the media to me what a load of rubbish! As if we're going to pay £6m for a 31 yr old. If he was Sheva I could understand paying so much for an over 30 but I've never even heard of the guy till today!

 I thought you'd like the headline :)

As for the Italian link I'd find that very hard to believe. I think we will move for a Striker in the summer but doubt we'll be paying £6m for a 31 yr old. If we do I think it will be a player people have head of

Sounds like media BS to me!

But not £6m good. I wouldn't pay that much for any striker at that age. He'll have very few seasons in him after taking a season to get used to the English game

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-MkXbwk0ZM never heard of him either. had to youtube him to see anything. meh, didnt see anything outstanding, then again, my attention kept wandering off from the video so i may have missed it. he may have possibilities with MU, but like someone said, when he gets in sync with the rest of the team it will be too late. i noticed he was seeking out MU and not the other way around.

Im watching the video and he looks pretty good, but I agree, not 6m good and he is definetly too old. It is probably mostly media hype here.
