Man utd have recently won it and it wouldnt be a suprise if there luck strikes again. What more if lets say the big teams were to get knocked out by the small ones which tends to happen quite a lot then a team like Man utd can always steal it. Overall i think that Man utd are the favourites and anything could happen in football, yes even the champions league

Please, if you have seen any of the cl games you will kow that untill Bayern they were the best team in the world, Raul aint that good? He is better than Treze, del piero, nedved, buffon and the rest of juve's squad. I think that Real with Zidane or without hem will win easly from Juve.

isnt it stupid. same reaction- when a team gets defeated in a friendly then promptly you hear everybody shouting that its not worth anything, there was no seriousness. anyway- its a fact that inter won 2:1. and its a fact that on both sides keyplayers were missing (real: roberto carlos and figo; inter- conceicao, recoba, dalmat, both zanettis and cordoba), inter was in such need of players that they even fielded binotto as a defender. anyway, its a fact as well that real is without doubt the best team in the spanish league (this doesnt mean i like real, in fact i cant stand this team)
but its stupid to say that barca isnt an opponent which shouldnt been taken seriously. au contraire! i guess that barcas squad is almost as competetive as reals, and in near future even better.
for once, since a long time, they have a good goalkeeper. theyre defense has improved a lot, anderson is quite good. midfield is very good and geovani and saviola are gaining experience very rapidly. kluivert is a good striker, for sure not good technically- but what counts is that hes scoreing and thats what hes supposed to do. and one of my fav. players, luis enrique, is also at barca.
so i guess itd be utterly stupid to underestimate barca, most probably the next spanish force in soccer....

bonano is way better than fly chatcher iker casillas and his substitute cesar. spain lacks of good goalkeepers, only canizarez is worth of being called a world class gk.
casillas doesnt stand a chance against kahn, lehmann, toldo, buffon, canizarez, barthez, ... and others.
the only positive aspect of casillas is that hes young....

regarding barcas defence-
frank de boer- very good, no doubt
christanval- young, great prospect for the future, did a good job as yet

puyol- very young, well see

sergi- kinda old, but experienced
abelardo- isnt he back in the national team?
reiziger- hes not worthy of playing for barca...

regarding reals defence-
salgado- hes good

so, i wouldnt say that barcas defence is in trouble

Yes i agree... Rcarlos is the most Real madrid player for several reasons:

1. He is one of the most loyal to the club.. six years for the club
2. He is considered by most as the best full back in the game.
3. He is a freekick master
4. He is only a few backs, who can help attack and defend
5. He always runs up and down the pitch, helping out.. great stamina and fitness
6. He is a great guy.. i saw several news bulittins in the net that he played for many many charity matches when real didn't have any pre-season matches.

To be honest i never saw zidane as the best player in the world.. and i think that 66 million was just a publicty stunt by real, and that is why Juventus let him go, cuz they knew that it was a real deal.. Zidane was never that good, but after the 98WC, when he scored 2 goals in all mighty brazil, he became a legend.. just like owen and other who just shine for a short period during the WC..

As for freekickers, well, there is no doubt that figo is one of the best in the game... carlos is all power which is also very good in kicking... its good that real has quite a few choices in freekicks. But still Carlos's freekick in against france in that tourment they held before the WC, stands out for me personally.

Real isn't unbeatable - far from it, IMO. Deportivo, Inter, Manchester, Milan, Barcelona, Roma, any of these European sides could whip Real, just as examples - although I think there are OTHER teams that could pull it off. I don't see any team in the world today that stands out among the others that much; anyone with quality and organization can beat anyone.

next year..madrid sure will buy a world class player....i hope will be nesta........so...i don't really think anyone can stop madrid now........actually i also wish that vicente from velancia can come to madrid too....because madrid didn't have a good left wings...the dream squad for me is:

Well Nesta said he weill never leave Lazio. And Real already found the player they needed. Pavon. So Nesta to Real is basically 99% impossible. And Roma is not the best team in the world but one of them for sure. And given the Roma Real game, I say that both teams at theyr best, Roma would kill real! Thats my opinion.
