Tonight we are playing against one of the tougher opponents in the league. They are still undefeated on their own ground and knowing that GS lost points last night they have a lot to play for. Im expecting a tough game.

We on the other hand are coming from a journey in Syria which i think did more good than bad for our team. Ümit Özat wont be able to play so i expect Ugur to take his spot whilst it looks like Appiah will be able to play again.

My line up:

---------------Serdar-------------

Önder------Edu-----Lugano----Ugur

---------Deniz-----Aurelio----------

Appiah---------Alex---------Tuncay

--------------Kezman--------------

should be a good game. we will win with a surorising margin. 2, 3 goal difference. (sigh) I hope.

We reached the stage where we can't hope any longer on the mistakes of the others, although "presents" are always welcome of course (thanks for sucking yesterday, 6S!).

If the trip to Syria was good or bad - we'll find out. I hope you'll disabuse me and i'm on the wrong tack. What so ever, exceptions prove the rules and it's about time to stop Kayseri's home attitude flight! I know it will be tough but i'm confident (and i'm in fighting mood... savaşçı modundayim :D).

Good to see someone else opened a thread.

Kayseri will be hard team to beat as our team is tired and missing some players. Kayseri will also be looking to take advantage of GS losing to put themselves ahead of GS into 3rd place.

Though Kayserispor has been on a losing streak i believe

stupid idiots. they started the game well, then just fell apart. they did nothing to win. just jogged around the field.

what was the game plan? what did anyone do to win? Alex was the only one who showed some resemblance of creativity, everyone else was just kicking the ball without thinking.

Kayseri deserved the win. for the first time, I am going to agree with Zico-haters. what the ***k....

oh shit deivid scores!

still, the team only does well because of individual efforts of people.

edu gone for the next match after the red. I think the team needs to figure out how to line up the best. the players must get frustrated - all is dependant on them, no strategy or anything

we can still gain something out of this if BJK loses or ties. Come on Rize! (wishful thinking)

Kayseri deserved the win? What for? Both teams looked tired.

Thanks to Deivid's last minute header, he saved us at least one point!!

I hate if we can't win by our own efforts but in the end it won't be noted on the Cup... therefore i wish bjk to hell tonight!

What are you agreeing on?? That we're leading the Lig since half a year or that we're playing the semi final in the Turkish Cup?

what I'm agreeing with is that the team looked (and often does) lost. if someone does something on their own and scores we win. if not, team does not have a real plan of attack. compared to other good teams in the world, we still look slow and confused. when teams are good and well oiled, they look great. we onl.y have moments of that and then it almost seems like the team loses interest. everyone does the minimum to gey by.

results alone are not enough. yes to win is good, yes we should win the cup, championship etc. but we need to be able to show some sort of flash or spark or something, otherwise, when we play european teams, we will lose again. you have to stop being so short sighted "we are in 1st place, semi final in cup, etc" is all ok, but pointless unless we can do something more with it.

this team, unless has some dramatic changes will NOT do good in europe, even in the UEFA. I don't like saying it, but we have to be realistic and admit it. CL is a dream so don't even bring that up.

Of course i also prefer champagne football but at a particular point i care big shit about how the team plays as long as they win and/or bring home the results desired. Regarding "something more": i'm deeply convinced our time will come, i just seem to have more patience and faith than others.

what about Ugur Boral. WTF was he thinking? that was one of the stupidest moves I've seen. As soon as he ran to it I said we would get scored on.

yeah I agree man. but at some point I would like to see something happen as a result of all my patience. We have been saying that for so long now. I'm sik of saying, "oh next year is our big year." i guess I need to adapt my expectations a bit.

and I don't want flashy fancy football, just solid, modern football that i can watch and enjoy and think, "this team is great and can take on anyone."

What Ugur Boral did today is enough for him to go out and say that he is retiring from football.

What he did is against all footballing rules....i still cant believe that he chased that ball for 50 meters....a ball that was going to be our throw in with only seconds left for halftime.

If i didnt know any better i would think he was bribed in this game....you dont chase a ball for 50 meters that was going to be our own throw in in the 46th minute of the game.

I still cant forget it...

And what about the penalty....for fukks sake. It doesnt get more crystal clear than this.

This is our 36th straight game without a penalty (last season included).

Edu gets a second yellow when Topuz jumps on Alex....great officiating!

Kayseri didnt deserve to win because were the better side in the first half.

And lastly appiah....this guy hasnt performed one decent game this season. And the way he acted when he was subbed is unacceptable.

I wouldnt mind see him leave at the end of the season. paying all that money for a mediocre performance is somethhing we can be without.

kanaryamerika
04-07-2007, 09:58 PM
yeah appiah seems to be gone in his mind already. he's not doing anything really for the team.

Appiah is out of position too. Imo I think that's affecting him as well

cengo
04-07-2007, 11:33 PM
So when a player plays a little different from his regular position does that mean that we should overlook all his bad passes, his lack of working rate....basically a really bad performance in every game.

Appiah is not out of position....he has played right midfield for both Ghana and Juventus.

serhat09

He was in the middle for Ghana. I don't know about Juventus.

This game turned out the way i expected. Both of us wanted this game badly and we tied. Ugur has had the worst performance of his life, he should be fined or something.

Y is Kezman always complaining, he got another yellow, he told the linesman to get glasses after the linesman said it was kayseri ball.

Tumer had 100% penalty no doubt but ofcourse Ulusoy has restricted refs from giving us penalties.

Like i said before i believe Appiah really wants to leave Fener at the end of the season and its y hes acting this way. Might as well fine him is whole seasons wage since he hasnt done anything productive.

And wat happened with Edu did he get 2 yellows and a red or just a direct red. The ref first showed a yellow then it looked like he changed his mind. And the ref was horrible, he gave no card to the player who attacked Alex. Wat BS.

And anyone see Lugano's dive, ahaha i love this guy. He tortured Gokhan Unal ahaha

Essien plays in the middle whilst appiah plays either left win or right wing....but mostly right wing.

Still it's no excuse for his poor performance the entire season.

Anyways....last season we lost the championship in Kayseri with a late goal from Gökhan Ünal. This year we took an important point...at least we have to see it like this.

Sorry Ömer but i hate these kind of theories. I highly doubt that appiah plays bad because he wants to leave....he doesnt have that in him to do a thing like this.

He simply isnt the starplayer we thought he was. Everyone praised him last season and i never understood why. Yes he played well but he wasnt all that. A player like Aurelio is so much more important but just because he didnt score as much goals as appiah he was totally forgotten.

Look at Aurelio now...still playing as good as before if not better, whilst appiah is nowhere to be seen.

To me this is what makes a player a starplayer or not. To have consistency....aurelio has that and because of that he is our most important player in the team, alex and tuncay included.

The reason Appiah was seen as a star last year is because he was scoring goals which were saving us, making plays that were thought impossible. Playing with a lot of passion

Apparently Edu got a red card for cursing at the refs and could get a 3 match ban

Fenerliyim

PFDK gave Edu a 3 match game ban today. Now does this mean he has to serve 3 more match bans or only 2 more match ban

2 more games....and im not even going to bother to talk about the rediculousness in this decision.
