Freddie Ljungberg played the whole game for Arsenal when they tied Newcastle 0-0. Freddie was booked in the first half.
Olof Mellberg played the whole game for his Aston Villa when they tied Wigan. The game ended 1-1. Olof was also booked.
Tobias Hysén played the whole game for his Sunderland against Alex Östlunds Southampton( he also played the whole game). Southampton started the game best and took the lead but Sunderland managed to come back and won with 2-1.Sunderland are now close to Premier League.
Andreas Isaksson and his Man City won their clash against Fulham with 3-1. Isaksson has played really great with 3 clean sheets in the last 4 games.
News Denmark:
Rade Prica scored a hat-trick for his Aalborg in the danish league against Silkeboorg.
Wilhelmsson played the CL QF 2nd leg against Man Utd and got totally whipped. was subbed in the 88th minute, a game wilhelmsson will try to forget as soon as possible!
Isaksson didn't let any ball behind him against Liverpool. The game ended 0-0.
Freddie Ljungberg played 60 minutes in the important clash against Bolton, he played in one of the attacking positions and did it extremly well but got a minor injury and had to step of.
Italy:
Wilhelmsson and Ibrahimovic both started on the bench in their teams(Roma and Inter). Ibrahimovic was back from an groin injury and was rested for the big game against Wilhelmsson's Roma now on Wednesday.
Holland:
PSV are looking for a replacement when Cocu will step aside and they have shown interest at signing Sharbel Touma from Twente.
Italy:
Both Wilhelmsson and Ibrahimovic started in their teams. Wilhelmsson looked sharp and looked strong on the right flank. Ibrahimovic was average but one of the best in Inter.
England:
Sebastian Larssons succsess season with Birmingham continues when he scored the important 2-0 goal for his team and now Birmingham are on their way back up in the Premier League after one season in the championship!
Isaksson had to let 3 balls behind him when his team played Arsenal. Game ended 3-1.
Germany:
Markus Rosenberg scored a goal and assisted to one when his team Werder Bremen won against Achem with 3-1.
France:
Johan Elmander will miss the league game against Rennes because of an injury.

Freddie Ljungberg is yet again injuried this time it's his knee and will therefore miss this weekend's game.
Olof Mellberg the 29 year international are set to sign a new contract with Aston Villa. "I'm 29 and i feel that i have the best years ahead of me and i wanna play in a strong team and i belive we will be in the top the next seasons"
Italy:
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is now crowned as a campioni when his team Inter secured the scudetti against Siena with 2-1

Petter Hansson will leave Heerenveen after a couple of very succsessfull seasons. He will go to a bigger league most likely Seria A and Atalanta.
Italy:
Ibrahimovic will most likely undergo a groin surgery in his right groin in a couple of days and he hope he can be back to play the games against Roma in the cup.
England:
Freddie Ljungberg will probably miss the rest of the season with his Arsenal. He has an injury somewhere as usuall nowdays and he hopes he can be fit for fight for the important Euro qualifying game against Denmark in june!

Sebastian Larsson and Tobias Hysen has secured a spot in the Premier League when their teams Birmingham and Sunderland has made it back to the EPL.

Petter Hansson has signed a 3 year deal with Stade Rennais in the french league. He will now leave the dutch league after couple of succsessfull seasons. Theirs now 2 swedes in Stade Rennais with Erik Edman aswell.

The king in the french league has done it again. Johan Elmander who was one of 2 attackers in the allstar team in the french league this season showed why he was awarded by scoring an hattrick for his Toulouse in their crucial game against Bordeaux. They won with 3-1 and are now heading for CL-Qualifications.
But Elfsborg were talking out loud in the press that they want to buy him.

I don't think Linderoth will end up playing in Sweden next season, he wants to play abroad for some more seasons and i really hope he sign for Galatasaray which he has been linked with. He would improve his technique alot in Turkey which would be great for the national team.

FREDDIE LJUNGBERG has revealed he is desperate to stay at Arsenal.
The Swedish winger was thought to be heading out of the Emirates this summer after nine seasons with the club.

Valencia has made a serious bid on Lyon's Swedish midfielder Kim Källström. Lyon has turn down the bid and won't let him go, he will most likely begin a second season with the french champions.

West Ham United is delighted to announce the signing of Swedish international captain Fredrik Ljungberg for a fee that could rise to £3million.
The 30-year-old midfielder agreed a four-year contract with the Club today after successfully passing a medical, and will be unveiled to the media at Upton Park this afternoon.
Freddie moves across London after nine years at Arsenal, where he made a total of 216 league and cup appearances - including a Champions League Final against Barcelona in May 2006.
Appointed captain of the Swedish national team following last year's World Cup finals, he has won 67 senior caps and scored 13 goals for his country.

Johan Elmander which has said that he aims to score 15 goals or more in the french league this season.(11 goal last season) Well he sure showed that the form is good when he scored 2 goals in the friendly game against Tours. He scored both off his goals in the first half. The game ended with a 3-2 win.
Jon Jönsson made his debut as well for Toulouse and played the whole game.
Alexander Farnerud scored the only goal for his team Stuttgart against Lazio in an friendly game. The game ended 1-1 and Stefano Mauri scored the goal for Lazio.

Swedish international Christian Wilhelmsson is set to sign for Bolton "in the next 24 hours", according to the Premiership club.
The 27-year-old winger will arrive on a season-long loan from French side Nantes with a view to a permanent deal.
Wilhelmsson spent the second half of last season on loan at Serie A side Roma.

Bolton boss Sammy Lee said: "I am delighted that we have finalised the deal to bring Christian Wilhelmsson to Bolton.

After a fairly quiet start, Hammers almost opened the scoring on 13 minutes. Lasse Nilsson has signed a 4 year deal with the french Ligue 1 team AS Saint Etienne. Nilsson was close to sign a contract with Real Betis but AS Saint Etienne got him.
He will now be the 8th swede that we can see in the french ligue together with Elmander, Jönsson (Toulouse), Edman, Hansson (Rennes) Källström (Lyon), Tahirovic (Lille) and K.Svensson (Caen).

Brondby have signed a 4-year contract with the 23-yo Swedish International (4 caps) Samuel Holmén. The talented holding midfielder join Brondby from Swedish Champions IF Elfsborg. The transfer fee is rumoured to be around $2.2 million (€1.6 milion).

Daniel Majstorvic was minutes from signing a contract with Lazio in Seria A but due to problems with the fax he couldn't sign the contract in time. However sources says that Majstorvic will be Lazio's first signing when the transfer window opens again in January.

Juventus are being linked with Aston Villa stopper Olof Mellberg and unsettled midfielder Tiago Mendes may take his place in the Premier League.
Despite their successful start to the campaign, the Bianconeri are still looking for another defender to replace the injured Jorge Andrade.
Youngster Domenico Criscito has performed well in the role, but he has also fallen victim to injury niggles and Mellberg is eyeing a move to the peninsula.
“After seven years in Birmingham I would like to move to a big Italian or Spanish side who will be in Europe next year,” the Swedish international recently stated.

He's not mexican as far as i'm concerned. He's a brazilian born in Sao Jose 1981.
So he's not that young either but he is very good and reports says that he'll be signed by a La Liga side.
Mellberg, Granqvist and Sebastian Larsson are all starting for their respective teams in the EPL today.

i heard rumors that he changed he's nationality,.........i looked this up because in fifa 07 and other soccer games he's nationality is mexican,........but i heard he cahanged he's nationality,.......ill see if i can contact kalmar ff to make sure

Te girl in question is the Toulouse forward Johan Elmander and his potential courtiers are Spanish giants l Madrid, Premiership high flyers Manchester City and Premiership strugglers Tottenham Hotspur. ESPN Soccernet reports that a spokesman for the French club has confirmed to the Swedish newspaper Expressen about the amusing triangle building around the 26-year Swedish international.

Elamander was a key figure in guiding Toulouse to a UEFA Champions League qualifier this season and is rated highly as striker in France. Now that interest in him has been confirmed, the player could face some dilemma over which club to join.
Joining Real Madrid would certainly assign him to the Bernabeu dugout where he would have to warm the bench along with a host of top draw players. Joining Man City could provide him with more chances but wouldn’t necessarily guarantee him first team action right form the start. Spurs would provide Elmander with more games since Spurs manager Juande Ramos has made it clear that he is looking for strikers but Elmander might not relish the scenario of moving to a club struggling in the Premiership

The two clubs agreed a £500,000 fee for the 30-year-old, who has agreed a two-year deal with the Istanbul outfit.
"I know that the clubs are talking with each other," Majstorovic told Sportbladet.
"I have also talked to the club. The coming days might be interesting.
"Besiktas is a big club in Europe, fighting for a place in the Champions League and playing in Europe every year."
Majstorovic's capture could be the second defensive deal in a short time for Besiktas after they were also linked with a swoop for Aston Villa's Gary Cahill.
Cahill is currently on loan at Sheffield United - who also want to secure his signature along with a string of other Championship clubs.
However, Besiktas are believed to be keen to take him to Turkey and could make an offer in the next week.

SUNDERLAND, England: Sunderland signed Sweden striker Rade Prica to a 3 1/2-year contract Wednesday after paying a 2 million pound (US$3.9 million; €2.6 million) transfer fee to Danish club Aalborg.
The 27-year-old Prica is Sunderland's fourth signing of the transfer window, joining Phil Bardsley, Jonny Evans, Jean-Yves M'voto.
"Rada is an experienced striker with a good goal-scoring record," Sunderland manager Roy Keane said. "He's hungry to play in the Premier League and will give us attacking options."
Prica has played 14 games for Sweden and scored two goals.

Sunderland's new £2m striker Rade Prica capped a perfect debut by scoring the second goal in a 2-0 home win against Birmingham City on Tuesday.
The Swedish international came on as a substitute at half-time and was delighted with the impact he made.
He told BBC Radio Newcastle: "A goal in the first game in front of a fantastic audience. It couldn't be better.
"As a striker you have to be aware of the defender's mistakes and I was on my toes."

Elmander Reveals His Juve Dream
Toulouse striker Johan Elmander has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Juventus, and has admitted that he has dreamed of playing for the Bianconeri since he was a child.

Recent reports emanating from Italy suggest that Toulouse hitman Elmander has jumped to the front of the queue of possible targets.

Fiorentina Join Majstorovic Hunt
According to the latest reports out of Italy, Fiorentina are planning a summer swoop for Swedish international defender Daniel Majstorovic.
The news will be frowned upon by Lazio, who have been tracking the 30-year-old since well before Christmas.
Majstorovic's contract at FC Basel expires in the summer, meaning that the team who are able to present the best personal package will be the one to clinch his signature. Fiorentina not only have more money at their disposal, but they are in good stead to qualify for the Champions League this season, which one would assume would effectively be the deal-clincher.
A move to Italy would be a huge step up for the robust centreback in any case, as the nine-time capped Swedish international has had a modest club career to date, playing for the likes of Malmo and Fortuna Koln of Germany.

Team player
Other forwards may have caught the eye in Germany this season, not least FC Bayern München's Luca Toni, but Rosenberg – signed from AFC Ajax for around €4m in January 2007 – may yet prove to be the unheralded star of the campaign. He has registered eleven goals and eight assists in the league already, underlining his growing reputation as one of the better team players in the Bundesliga.
Slow start
Comfortable with both feet and his head, the former Malmö FF striker scored 12 goals in 40 league games for Ajax before joining Bremen, and made a slow start to life in north-west Germany. "I needed time at Bremen to get used to the surroundings," he said, having largely started as a substitute in his first calendar year in Bremen. However, his goalscoring record from the bench did not go unnoticed, and since being given more of a run in the first team since last November, he has scored plenty of fine goals like a back-heeled effort against BV Borussia Dortmund on 1 March. "That was an absolutely crazy goal," he remembered. "I hoped the ball would go in on its own but it didn't so I went after it."
Striking foil
Nicknamed 'Rosi' at Bremen, the 25-year-old's selfless work is drawing admiring glances in Germany, and Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs recently said of him that "Markus is getting better and better". Coaches will expect the FC Internazionale Milano man to lead the line for Sweden, so Rosenberg may be the ideal player to strike from the shadows when opponents least expect it.

Hey, one question. You know Emra Tahirovic from your youth team? Did he decide on which country he will play for and if you don't know, do you know when he will decide? I wouldn't have a problem if he chose Sweden, because you guys trained him and raised him, but if we get him somehow, I want to say thank you for raising him as a great player.
I have no idea where he will end up but I have a feeling that he will end up playing with BiH.
There's too many good strikers in Sweden at the moment and if Emra wants to play international footie on a high level soon he will most likely chose BiH.

"I'm very happy to have signed a new deal, it is what I've been working hard for, to get a contract with the first team," Olsson said. "I've been doing well, I've been working hard, I came here two years ago and now I'm delighted to get that first-team contract.

The Brazilian international goalkeeper has turned from hero to villain for the Eredivisie champions after falling out with the almighty managing director Jan Reker in public. And should he leave the club he’s spent the last four years with, Andreas Isaksson could take his place.
PSV Eindhoven have been closely monitoring the Swedish international’s situation at Manchester City, where he’s played in only 20 matches since his three-million-euros move from Stade Rennais on August 15, 2006. And the Dutch must have been pleased to learn that the towering 26-year-old custodian wants out of City, despite the fact that Mark Hughes has replaced Sven- Göran Eriksson as coach and manager.
“I don’t really care. Hopefully, I won’t be at the club next season,” he told Thomson Reuters news agency in an interview yesterday. And despite rumours that the former Trelleborgs, Juventus Turin and Djurgårdens shot-stopper could join Fulham, PSV Eindhoven may count themselves as favourites to land Isaksson – but at the right price, as his contract expires in mid-2009.
Fülöp and Velthuizen
The Eredivisie champions have other options as well, although it looks like Hungarian Márton Fülöp of Sunderland, who also wants out of his current club, prefers to join Stoke City instead. PSV have reportedly offered 626,000 euros for the 25-year-old international, who’s just featured six times between the sticks for The Black Cats since November 2006. However, Roy Keane, who would be glad to see Fülöp stay on, thinks that the bid is too low, while the former Hungária and Tottenham keeper favours a move to The Potters, where he spent part of this season on loan before they gained promotion to the Premier League.
Should their efforts to sign either of these England-based players prove fruitless, PSV could then focus to Vitesse’s impressive youngster Piet Velthuizen, considered as one of Europe’s most promising goalies.

Manchester City's unsettled Swedish keeper Andreas Isaksson has made it clear that he wants his proposed move to PSV Eindhoven to go through as soon as possible.
The Dutch press had claimed that the 26-year-old was set to arrive in Eindhoven on Wednesday to undergo a medical, but Iasksson's latest comments suggest that the deal will be considerably more drawn out than that.
“I know that PSV are interested and Manchester City don’t mind if I move,” Isaksson told Sportbladet.
“They are ready to sell me. I hope it will be solved. It’s not a bad club to join.
“I would like to join a bigger club who believe in me and who have ambitions. That is the most important thing.
“Training resumes for pre-season on July 14, I have a contract here but I hope I don’t have to return.”
The giant Swede lost his place in the Manchester City starting line up to Joe Hart last season after which he spent most of the rest of the campaign stewing on the bench yearning for a move.

Isaksson, born in Trelleborg on 3 October 1981, spent the greater part of career as goalkeeper at Djurgården, after he had been scouted by Juventus at an early age. He came through the Youth set-up at the Italian club where he did not make the first team. After a four-year spell in the Swedish league, he joined Rennes in France in 2004, where he made 62 appearances in two seasons. Midway the 2006/07 season, he completed a move to Manchester City but did not feature much at the City of Manchester Stadium due to injury problems. He has gained 59 caps for the Swedish national team. Sweden did not survive the group stages at the Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland. They beat Greece 2-0 in their opening game, but suffered defeats against Spain (1-2) and Russia (0-2).

Many Scandinavian players plied their trade at PSV before. The first Scandinavian ever to join PSV was the Swede Dan Enker. The full left back scored one goal in 23 league games from 1958 until 1960. Ralf Edström is undoubtedly the best-known Swedish player in PSV colours. The internationally renowned striker arrived in Eindhoven in 1973 and became the crowd’s favourite when he scored 55 goals in 112 league games in four seasons.
