Just to remind you boys and girls if you didn't read the announcements on the top of this page.


The following rules (which we have loosely followed until now) will now be in strict regulation. We are no longer reluctant to notify your ISP or your server host for conduct that breaks the rules.

THREE MAIN RULES

POSTING
Do not post any messages that are offensive, provocative, obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. Do not attack other members or curse in excess.

SPAMMING (two kinds)
One, promotion of your website is strictly not allowed. Any posts seen "advertising" a website will immediately be deleted, and SFN reserves the right to notify your server host. If you are interested in advertising, contact admin@soccerfansnetwork.com or send a private message to an administrator.

Two, any users who sign up with the intent to provoke and spam the forum with useless messages will not only be banned, but also their ISP will be notified.

SIGNATURES
Images in signatures can be a maximum of 400 pixels wide and 400 pixels high. If an image in your signature blatantly distorts the spacing and symmetry of the forum it should definitely be resized (using an image editor). Furthermore no links to other forums are allowed in the signature, but links to personal websites are okay.

OFFENSE #1 to any of these rules is likely to result in a warning (severe offenses may result in bans), OFFENSE #2 is likely to result in a temporary ban, and OFFENSE #3 could mean a permanent ban and notification of ISP or server host.

If I see a thread with just a 1 smiley posted in it with no words or a post with a few words that aren't related to anything I will have to delete that POST. And if the behavior continues I will have increase your warning and I will try to notify you by a private message.

I don't know who you are, but let me comment on what you said.

Your 1st remark stressed in blue up there is an arbitrary intromission in the freedom of expression of this Forum: one can express oneself perfectly just with one (or more) 'lols', 'faint', 'heart', 'big grin', 'sad, 'tongue', 'wink', or whatever.

Those icons are there for decades not only in Football Forums but in the whole Internet, and they are a legal, moral, healthy and valid way to express ideas, be them followed by words or not!...

Visual language can be as 'impactant' (or not) as verbal language or any other kind of language, and - c'mon! - cannot be discriminated only because it's..visual! http://forums.soccerfansnetwork.com/images/icons/icon6.gif

That's interfering in the neuroniums of us all: what you're proposing there is an unacceptable mass brain surgery!...

And even if it were 'acceptable', nobody here would be intelectually capacitated to perform it!...

There are lots of orientals in SFN and even when they express themselves in English (see 'Liberal and Freedom') their language is predominantly 'ideographic' (i.e., it's expressed with 'images', 'icons', visual representations of 'ideas').

And that language has already benefically influenced & even changed our Western way of communicating and being!...

You cannot come here & say: hey, now you got to think the way I or somebody else wants.

This here is a Football Forum (a place where 'ideas' are vehicled, be them with words, images or sounds)!...

Not a psychiatric clinic or the Pentagon headquarters! :usa2: ...

As far as your remark in red up there (reasoning with colours: another lovely ideographic resource) who is going to decide that such and such words are not related to anything: YOU?...

Man: that's a task that not even the greatest philosophers would dare to assume! ...

If you don't want to destroy this place, you'd better content yourself with deleting the '***k offs' and 'WTFs' of always (with which I perfectly agree)! :sad: ...

i don't mean a few words in a big post i mean like a post that has a few words or a smiley and relate to nothing! and you def aren't one of those

Now that it I total typo mistake on my part. I am sorry and I edited the original post to fix it.

It should say this:
